She has a sweet and charming appearance, with skin as smooth as cream and a graceful figure. Even when she’s not smiling, people couldn’t help but feel joy upon seeing her, as if her cheeks could really produce honey.

However, only those close to her know that inside, she’s a wild girl who loves seeking thrills.

This time, after earning the highest-level diving certificate and was out on an adventure… she encountered a plane crash.

She didn’t die but unexpectedly transmigrated into a melodramatic novel.

According to the plot, she is the tragic female protagonist who, coaxed by an unscrupulous aunt and married off by her foolish father to an abusive man. She devoted her whole life to this thankless marriage, only to receive a word of praise in her old age.

Tian Mi… decided to accept the advice of an elder sister in the military and take a week-long train ride to marry the older man she mentioned.

***

Lou Luhui, a man with a bright future and handsome features, had become a 29-year-old bachelor because of his indifference in marriage.

Just as the superiors were eagerly planning to solve his personal affairs before he turned 30 and bring such a talented man into their own families…

The chubby and honest-looking Mrs. Tian from the third regiment introduced her sister, who is said to look a lot like her.

Everyone felt regret but also understood, as beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

However, half a month later, when the tall and imposing Lou Luhui came back holding hands with a stunningly beautiful and fair-skinned young girl who caught everyone’s eye, everyone was dumbfounded…

All the single officers cried: Mrs. Tian! You tricked us!

I'd say 3.5/5. It was a decent (edit: but tiring T_T) read. FL is smart, and courageous when needed. She's sweetmouthed and knows how to adapt to her surroundings. ML looks like an iceberg. Everyone in the military area knew how cold and unapproachable he was, but became super clingy after they got married. His family is from the capital, simple yet powerful, with a commander dad, a stay-at-home mom and a doctor, married older sister.

FL is the 3rd child in the family. The oldest is a girl, 30s, married... more>> to a military man; then a boy, in his 20s but unmarried and apparently, useless; then our FL (2nd daughter) ; after that 2 younger sisters (3rd daughter and 4th daughter), got their name changed later; and the youngest is a boy as well. Grandparents and mother are super partial toward the eldest son, but besides the 'favor sons over daughters', there was another story behind it. The eldest sister was a set of twins, but the other twin (a boy) passed away when he was little. The mother almost went mad. Father's reasonable (he's a police officer), while you can't ignore the facts that he prefers boys to girls as well, it's not so severe that he ignore his daughters. His mindset is still that he would live with his son when he's old age, so he cherishes the youngest very much. The youngest son is actually treated no different from the girls because the mom actually only has eyes for the eldest son.

The main antagonist is the OG novel's male lead. Truly crazy, a real psychopath. I like that he wasn't forgotten like in other novel as the MCs life goes on. There's still a piece of plot about him and what happened in the end, like everyone finally got their retribution. Another anchovy antagonist being the FL's eldest brother's future wife. People blinded by jealousy are madly frightening.

To say it's a daily life story, it's really not. The FL got a golden finger (I really didn't expect that, but thankfully it's neither system nor space). It actually has influences on the plot as the story progresses, and she was apparently rewarded for it. You know how the era CNs always boast about the great leader? She earned the Leader's handwritten certificate for her contributions, gotta be the family heirloom she said LOL.

MCs got pregnant with a pair of twins,

like a month after they got married, she likes children so she wasn't opposed to having a child early, after the birth of children (boy and girl), ML went on the sterile op.

Haven't read the extras but from the title they are about the couples around MCs. First is about ML's sister (Lou Yanan) and ML's best friend, also her childhood friend (Zhou Jianshe) ; then about the 3rd sister (Tian Xin) and partner; then the 4th sister (Tian Xue) and partner; then the youngest brother (Tian Xiangyang) and partner; after that the distance orphaned nephew of FL (Tian Jun) and his partner; and the last few chapters are back about MCs. <<less

It's a 3.5 star rating. It's a simple slice-of-life story where the writer was either wearing rose-tinted glasses when she wrote the MC characters or was playing it safe for the audience or censors (none of those ugly parts of human nature such as greed or selfishness).

Not sure if it's the MTL, but there were gaps in some of the details that that I found bugging — e.g., were they really on an island? How did they get to the island? It was never mentioned that I could remember.

If you love reading 70s novel theme, maybe you would find some things familiar (or generic, maybe?) in this novel, such as: flash marriage between MC and ML, a military man ML, a doting ML who loved his wife and children very much, family intrigue in miliary compound, etc.

One thing that's considered unique in this story was maybe MC's golden finger. She wasn't equiped by system or magical space but she was invincible inside the water. Although it sounded very OP, MC didn't want to be too eye-catching so she... more>> only used her ability moderately. The way she behaved after she transmigrated was also quite realistic. She was frustated, depressed, and couldn't get used to many things since she came from modern era where everything was convenient. But she also cheered up rather quickly and soon had a sense of belonging to that era.

So far, the story was quite okay. It's typical 70s slice of life story but it was still enjoyable to read. The only thing that made puzzled was how could that s*um named Liu became a ML in the original story?

Spoiler

He was arrogant and a wife beater. How could someone like that be a successful politician?

Finished the main story and not the extras because I felt it was unnecessary.

It’s a very bland slice-of-life story with nothing much happening.

The only drama that was noteworthy was at the beginning when FL was struggling with a minor antagonist whom wanted to force her to marry him. Basically FL transmigrated into a novel and in the original story, the ori host will marry that antagonist and be ab*sed. So FL is determined to change her fate.

After the FL got through the hurdle it becomes very boring. As FL has... more>> no knowledge of the future. She does not intentionally intervene in any problems or drama. The minor drama that happens in the novel is usually resolved without FL interfering and the faceslapping is boring.

It’s just detailing FL’s slow day to day living being pampered, occasionally getting into some gossip and just being happy. Her work is easy, nothing bad happens to her...

Yeah a boring read. <<less

It’s a nice soft story. Plot is simple - just follows family life of MC. Romance is to the point and sweet. Very loving family dynamic between the sisters.

It’s a transmigration story but seems irrelevant after the first several chapters. MC has a golden finger that’s useful sporadically through the story.

I’d recommend this to those who would like a sweet story without much negativity. Don’t expect some convoluted plot either.

4.5 rounded up because of family. It's a very typical Chinese novel in the sense that there is nationalism but ingrained in the concept that all of the governments and all the police people are good people. Other than that, I think it's quite refreshing actually. I've actually read a couple novels based in the '70s in China. And That time period Is like a real dystopia man. So a lot of those stories can get kind of dark. But this one was surprisingly refreshing. They felt a lot more... more>> light. And it was just different because there's a completely different setting.

Is a setting of living in a military base camp and basically the north where it's snowing like maybe probably 8 months out of the year. It's a completely different lifestyle. And then the main character's golden spoon Or ability is just the ability to swim and breathe freely underwater. Honestly there's some incredible humans in the world so I don't even think it's that crazy. Except for being warm probably that is weird. And it's such a unique and different setup that it's pretty refreshing I know I've said that like three times. And then I really like obviously the husband and then I like all of her siblings except for You know who. I really really like this sisterhood. I love how each sister is so unique and different and has a real sense of self. But they're never less than the main character. They always add more to it and they add a lot of love to the story in my opinion.

Although there might be some cliches here and there and the ending itself did feel a little bit rushed, the overall book is just so wholesome and it makes him just feel like it's a warm cup of tea in the midst of this cold setting they live in in. Truly just so heartwarming. I love how the sisters interact with each other and how the younger sister was getting training from her older brother-in-law's. It's just like I love the dynamic. There's never like a clear line of you know these people don't interact with these people. It's just feels organic even though it is obviously a story and everything is a lot more happier. I don't know I just felt really happy reading this. I'm a person who loves reading good and happy and fulfilling stories that aren't boring so I felt this way about this story.

It is a slice of Life but in my opinion because the setting was so different from what I've read, it was never boring to me and I just loved all of the characters who were lovable of course.

I recommend reading the extras if you want to see how every single sibling and their romance turns out. Ch 145 was weirdly out of place. Idk why they added that tho... Guess they wanted to remember that MC's ability to swim <<less

Completed through MTL! Would 100% recommend!!!

This was the perfect pallet cleanser after accidentally starting a 2k+ chapter novel and then giving up at chapter 1, 879. 😭 The plot has some twists and turns but everything related to the ML & FL is resolved by the end without feeling rushed or lacking information. ☺️
Spoiler

My only issue would be that I wish the story continued at least with a time skip to show the futures of all the sisters. The author alluded to them preparing for college starting again in a few years and that Tian Mi was excited to be rich when the economy opened back up but the story ends after the main conflict was resolved.

It's a good slow-paced story. MC and ML are both strong and cute. They're perfect for each other.

So I wanted this novel to show us more of their interactions but the author decided otherwise and started caring about all minor characters' wellbeing. It was displayed as a gossip shared between main characters but in a nutshell that was a digression from the topic. That's why I dropped it.

All minor characters here are well-written and each has an interesting personal story worth telling yet I wanted the main couple be the... more>> main issue here.

Spoiler

I kinda wanted more details about MC's ability and it's practical usage in later stages (after having kids)

I'm a sucker for this trope so I enjoyed it a lot!

I would say it's slightly above average amongst other novels with the same setting, and definitely hits all the marks of the usual transmigration stories in the 70s but in a satisfying way; ... more>>

interesting but not heavily relied-on Golden finger, strong and smart FL, Strong and super Green flag ML, Cute and actually childlike children (of course they are twins haha), and slice of life with a little bit of drama from the neighbors every now and then.

It wasn't too short or too long, and I think it wrapped up nicely with readers being able to get a good gist of how everyone's lives will be.

Another thing I like about it, though others may be dissatisfied with, is how a lot of the FL's biased family members were handled in a realistic way. Usually you want the worst for them but somehow I was okay with how it ended considering the way the author portrayed them as flawed individuals, (actually giving reasoning for their erratic and biased behavior although it is still inexcusable) and sometimes the best way to handle that is ignore them when you can, because they usually end up destroying themselves.

Overall, this was a good weekend read and although it may not be the most exciting, I still enjoyed reading it! <<less
