I have no one else but to blame myself for reading this blasphemy. I got into this novel after reading the reviews who were praising this novel like the 2nd coming of jesus "That the novel later becomes Hentai and MC doesn't remain an idiot", but you would have to wait for 9 freaking volumes to finally get to the "decent" part of the series. After tolerating this atrocious novel for so long, you are just simply burned out and don't give a damn about it anymore.

-Just like any other... more>> Harem story, you have your typical beta arse Japanese protagonist who is weak, spineless and dense af with 2-3 abusive and cursing female characters who shits all over protagonist for no reasons where as MC acts like a complete panzy and does remotely nothing to trying to do anything to protect his little bit of self-esteem, but I can tolerate that it is still within my limit, but oho boy, here comes the MOFO VOLUME 4. Protagonist's harem gets captured while they were infiltrating another Country, then you finally feel the tension, the stakes are getting higher, but for no goddamn freaking reason, our dear author decides it would be better to force them into becoming singing idols, f*ckING SINGING IDOLS which goes on for 3 volumes, what makes it worse is that our protagonist is still fighting for his living and having close death-life battles with enemies in the background while the gals are enjoying their idol career and completely forgetting they are actually prisoners. You can imagine my frustration, as somewhere along the way this review has turned into a rant. Why in the unholy name of god the writer thought it would be a good idea to put that right in the middle of a serious battle arc? Making cute girls idol, sure make them, but for heck sakes do it in your spin-offs or make a separate filler arc. Call me dense, I don't know how Japan's idol industry works, but surely the popularity can't be this much worse, right RIGHT?

-After the long arc that was finally over which lasted for 4 volumes (thankgod). We are introduced to God level beings, no let me correct that suicidal and depressing god beings because they are immortal and utterly bored of their misery life. You simply know just how it goes from here, our MC is gonna cure their heart or make their life better so that they won't feel suicidal anymore and with that, I think this was the final nail in the coffin for me. I will leave myself out, I don't give a damn if it has hentai or MC becomes less dense in future volumes, none of that matters anymore. I regret reading this novel, I wish I could get my dead brain cells back! Save yourself from reading this novel, don't listen to the reviewers who have given it 4 or 5 stars. It only deserves 2 for the softprono! <<less

This story feels very familiar: Mysterious aliens have attacked the Earth. The only way to fight them is to use mysterious magical equipment. Only girls can use this gear. Expect main character, of course. It does not end with just that. MC's mother is the one who developed the gear, and his sister is a commander at the battle school. Sounds any familiar? Fanservice is explained by that MC can recharge and powerup girls by doing erot*c things with them. You would expect normal, healthly male to be happy that... more>> he can save the world by doing erot*c things with beautiful girls, but no. He is a typical JP loser MC without backbone or balls. He refuses to cooperate for silly reasons while humanity is doing badly. He screams like a little girl when a woman makes a move on him. Even if he is terrified of women, he should do his duty for humanity, but no. There are some good moments of comedy, but don't bother with this if you have read too many JP novels already. <<less

Summary of the novel: While this novel has an average IS plot.... its actual high-quality hentai, because the MC does not remain an idiot for long.

For those of you watching the anime is HxH AA to hot for anime? Like closer hentai than To Love Ru or High School DXD ever got? The answer is yes. Both the anime and novel are straight up hentai. The hentai action is only in later novels, but trust us... the R-18 is there. The MC is not an idiot.

For the girls, well they arent 1D. They have things they want to do and have problems to resolve and our MC will do his best t help them. I really like the fights (since our MC WILL fight as he will become stronger)

Finally, I am giving 5 stars for me, but for other it would be more like 3.5/4 since harem LN arent really liked (well for me its a must)

P.S. My fav girl is Aine (personally for me she is the main heroine) and Himekawa (for her shyness) :P <<less

Not bad... not bad at all. The only problem of this novel are the fight scenes but the MC and the girl get amazing power-up and combine their power-armors. The H-scenes are really good tbh. Its no straight hentai but you have the feeling of it. In my honest opinion the MC should just take out his d*ck and shove it in their a$$es, but he mostly harasses them. But if you are looking for some echhi stuff then this is a good read. There is plot but its not... more>> that good atm. I hope it gets good later on. <<less

I love this one. The writing style in raw is good too. It gets better after u reach volume 5.

MC is not dense either and there are tons of R-18 scene but no s*x at the moment, there are some part that is "indirect" s*x...

Like using the heart hybrid armor core, and the shape of the core turned into dildo sharing the sense of our MC penis, and inserting the dildo shaped core (Weird writing this one) into the females body through their v*gina.

Honestly, this novel is very good... I loved it too much. If you've been looking for Ecchi in this novel, it's here that you will find a lot of it (much that gets saturated there by volume 8 or 9), the way things unfold is very much to my liking and worth reading. My favorite character is definitely MC's mother, watch her and see for yourself.

It is quite familiar to IS but with more fanservice and somewhat character development. If you like Testament of Sister Devil or Magika no Kenshi then you would enjoy it.

Reading other reviews, I agree with that he was acting 'beta' but I see it as a believable reaction. Not even a healthy male would immediately accept the responsibility of saving the world and their mind would be hampered by normal morals to assault any females or easily accepting any of the s*xual assaults.

Pros:

Instead of crazy scientist that is the sister... more>> of MC childhood friend, the scientist is his Mother thus eliminating the need to favor the childhood friend. This make things more personal with the MC.

Each girl has their own personality and shares of problem which MC helped to somewhat solve;

MC do no fight harem member number 2 at the beginning but saved her while changing her outlooks on others. This helped smooth things up for that girl in later volumes.

MC helped disperse the feeling of unwanted of harem member number 1 as they shared a history and allow her to be more social.

MC also helped to pull harem member number 3 out of her vengeance and her despair and give her new objective in her life.

Cons:

Cliche of only mentioned Male with a worth to use a Gear as other Males have lower energy and mentioned only once, if I remember correctly, that there is a male side of school.

In my opinion, which can be said to many other LN, the harem keep on growing even extending to other world's female characters with each use of his special Gear and the magic 'aphrodisiac' ability. (But it can't be helped because its a ecchi genre) <<less

Fairly decent for an ecchi JP novel, but the plot is as average as it gets. Besides the R-18 scenes, I don't really think much else of the story was all that well written.

Many of the characters are honeslty quite awful and the fact that they lived up until the end having to face no repercussions for their previous actions is so ridiculous to me. The MC is also quite the pushover because despite the many transgressions he's faced, he hardly ever gets angry and is so quick to forgive.... more>> This is especially so with his mother. After all she's done, she too was easily forgiven and didn't really atone for anything until the very end.

There was so much forced conflict and drama that I couldn't even find myself caring about the outcome because at the end of the day all the problems are solved by the MC's dick. That's also one of the biggest problems. Half of the girls he took as s*xual partners at some point in time wanted to kill him and several of them took rather drastic measures to ensure it happened and felt no remorse for it after the fact and never even apologized. What's worse is that their actions were pretty much swept under the rug like nothing even happened. But what do you know, their worlds are at stake and the only way to solve it is for them to get intimate with each other. Now all of a sudden these girls who previously disliked the MC are attracted to him.

Anyhow, this novel isn't worth the read, but it also wouldn't hurt to try it out if you have nothing else better to do. <<less

For those with any familiarity with JP LN/WN of the shounen variety, this is more or less the same plot, I like it when done well and dump on it when it is not. From the rating you can infer my stance.

Now for the main question. Are the H scenes good?

Seen better but I've also seen worse, all in all a 5/10. It is passable but dragged down by the characters and writing, an ok read if you just want to turn your brain off. Though, I must give credit... more>> to the illustrator, there were many good pictures.

But if you care about complex characters/ unexpected turns/ character dev/ any semblence of tension/ a proper non-pu*sy MC. Better go read Magika no Kenshin/ Sevens/ Mushoku no Tensei.

How should I put it in non-spoiler word. The writing is bare minimum, characters are 1D even though their awesome pictures are 5D, any character change is totally artificial only meant to move the plot forward.

Plot/ logic is terrible.

THEY ARE IN A f*ckING WAR FOR SURVIVAL, AND THEY HAVE THE f*ckING LUXURY TO TAKE THEIR LANDMARKS AND PRESERVE THE ON FLOATS???? OK OK, YOU MIGHT REBUT THAT, THEY MAY HAVE LOADED IT BEFORE THE WAR. MY REPLY IS DO YOU THINK BUILDING CAN JUST BE LIFTED AND MOVED, THEY CLEARLY DO NOT HAVE THAT TECH/MAGIC MASTERY.

ALSO WHY IS THEIR ENTIRE WAR INDUSTRY f*ckING RUN BY STUDENTS, EVEN THE R&D? EVEN IS GAVE A REASON.

f*ck! IM PUTTING MORE THOUGHT INTO THIS THAN THE f*ckING AUTHOR.

That is just some of the many logical faults in the story. I get that you want a highschool story. But tone, setting and characters must match, exceptions work mainly for comedy.

ie. They have 20+ floats and only 1 that we can see is for war. Brah, if it's the other way around idm because people need recreation but when the majority are relaxing on their boat not making an obvious effort to get back their families, it destroys the tone you are trying to go for. Sorry, I said non-spoiler, but don't worry all those parts are right in the beginning of vol 1. It's a very minor spoiler. Combining both character and Plot give a failing 3/10. <<less

I had a lot of fun reading Hybrid X Heart and completely read it. Even the CD drama and even it's side stories were fun.

Although reading it didn't excite me as much, it did gave me pleasure. It's not like it's a complete p*rn novel with no love in it but just doing it gave a good mood as the story progress. I can't believe the author was able to do a good story telling with a good hook up to boot.

It's a bit hard to keep up when it... more>> comes to character intro, some just comes and goes. Honestly some were just forgettable. It would've been better if the author made the main heroines have more screen time rather than introducing new characters yet removing them entirely.

It was a good read and I recommend it for those who likes mecha, harem and an okay story. <<less
