Plot holes!!!

Plotholes everywhere to the point it made this novel looked like a bee nest!

I'm not the most thorough or acute person, so usually I will miss plotholes when I read a novel, but when it came to a fanfiction of original works that I like such as Marvel, the plotholes can't be more obvious.

... more>> The most noticable plothole that keep disturb my mood in the whole novel is the inconsistency of MC's knowledges about Marvel verse.

In the very first chapter, it was depicted that MC was supposed to be a hardcore fans of Marvel, especially Avenger series, to the point he know about the plot of Avenger series until Avenger: Infinite Wars that MC watch in movie right before he transmigrated.

But then MC sometimes act like he didn't know a jacksh*t about the plot, even though he will always recognize the famous characters.

He supposed to be able to prevent the death of some important characters, like for example black phanter's dad.

If he supposed to be Marvel's hardcore fans, he should know that the dead of black phanter's dad will spark the civil wars between Avengers members, but he act like an ignorant bystanders. It's like the author was too lazy to change the major plot and keep it going like in the canon.

This kind of inconsistency will be found throughout the entire volumes, and later the author will made a lame excuses such as the transmigration made the MC's memory going hayware, or something like that.

Come on!! This is fanfiction!! You should be creative and make a change that different from the canon!!!

If you only copy paste from the canon then what is the point reading this novel? It's no different from watching the original movies but with the addition of new character with cheat. <<less

pull the cards can grow instantly skilled in whatever that skill was.... ya not working for me would work fine if he only got the basic version no matter how advanced the original card was or even a water down version of something that required lots of training + several other trained skills to learn but he can pull out even 'mastery' of weapons and hand to hand combat and use them just fine while still having an untrained body (more so with guns since idk what the author was... more>> thinking an untrained guy would not have the physical ability to beat a well trained gun user since the all the necessary strength of the arms legs and shoulders that keep one steady not only from the recoil but let your hand eye coordination be displayed to the current peak [since arms and legs thus hands can shake from many different factors you need a good bit of training just to be able to not mess up badly because of such muscle movements... all the while you need to train your hand-eye coordination with understanding of the gun + external factors like wind, distance, movement, ect to really hit the bulls-eye... but nope this MC can as a layman shoot better then a trained agent at an even greater distance just will a stolen skill (since you know the body just learns all the necessary parts of the skill so a mindless average Joe even when physically {and maybe later mentally since he can even rob language ability so I see author having him steal skills related to tech/bio/ or other such areas that need loads of study and understanding yet can just do anything in those fields because of a pulled card} unfit for the skill can still use it without the body breaking apart from doing something outside your physical ability]

but nope he pulls the card gets the whole skill and can use it like he was the one that spent the time training even with a crap body since you know stolen skills can make your body stronger because you know how hard it is to write about some golden-finger that has draw backs like pulling the skill but when learning it you get '*error due to physical ability this skill has been reduced to the minimum/locked while methods to unlock/train to the degree of pulled card have been given to user*' for physical skills while for mental skills '*error user lacks the required knowledge in the fields needed for this skill please search for and learn about 'x' to degree 'x' to unlock the basics of this skill*'.. this way we get MC that grow in personality from training/learning.

but if you do not mind the foolish person who in a world {where even the people with more experience and smarter just look the other way not thinking twice about anything since you know MC got to have plot armor that ruins the logical thinking ability of everyone around him/her so things go their way unless it is something needed so they can something better latter or just grow} with mutants starts becoming 'amazing' and 'monstrously talented' after he collapsed from the heat just doing basic training just does not scream look I mutated into being someone who can steal your skills for myself and even when I do not know how to train or even understand anything about said skills my body can still learn it all for me [even if we the readers know it not a mutant ability the normies in that world would not so the fact that no one finds is rapid improvement to s*upid levels in many areas strange just kills any immersion into said story since now the story is just a self insert with everything revolving around the MC instead of MC interacting with everything creating the ripples in the story while getting effected by said ripples].. <<less

It's meh fanfiction, so don't expect much out of it. However, it is still decently entertaining and serves as a time waster. There are some colloquialisms that the Chinese author is unable to grasp, and some translation errors, but overall it is readable.

Really fun story.

I was rather skeptical of it, thinking it'd be the common tr*sh on NU, but I was pleasantly surprised.

There aren't enough chapters atm to make a conclusive judgement on the quality of the story so far, so I'll update the review when there's more to go by.

I wasn't planning on reviewing this. But seeing the ridiculous review of Suijin that didn't even read one chapter and instead reviewed the story based on the summary, I had to at least leave a positive review so others can experience this... more>> fun story too.

I'm hooked and eagerly awaiting new chapters.

P.S. Suijin, a modern man obviously knows what a card system is. You'd know this if you read the first 3 chapters. <<less

This is a fanfic, dont be suprised if the time line is so messed up later on. But that wont be the only thing to make you think "thats not how that was".

If you love marvel, you would cringe...

If your just looking for something to read... this is good, not great, but good.

Started great but later on it became just another one of those books riddled with CN novel clichés.

The fact that this was written before Avengers: End Game was also a problem. The author forced the End Game storyline to his own story and it became a mess.

It became just a series of ass pulls, and what I thought to be intentional plotholes that is going to be solved later on in the story turned out to be so disappointing. It's like the author stopped caring about it so he just... more>> made another ass pulls to settle it in an underwhelming way, or completely forget about it.

The CN novel cliché is so prominent too, in a bad way.

- Every time the MC travels the galaxy, he'll always end up mu*dering people and make troubles for his weaker "comrades".

It just so happens that he doesn't care about what they've gone through because of his actions and simply brushed it off.

- It's riddled with lame CN novel fights and dialogues that you'll wonder if you're still reading a Marvel fanfic. What's worse, there's more fighting than actual story. Typical CN novel bs indeed.

It would have been much acceptable if the author could write a good action scene, but it's your usual CN stuff.

I like it. I just wish it was more American, and less Chinese styled writing.

Not sure about the card sacrifice option. When he sacrifices those cards, doesn't that mean he no longer can use those skills? Somehow, he still retains the abilities of those cards after he sacrifices them for new cards.

Also, is it possible for him to get all of those skills back by absorbing them from the same people again? No idea...

  • It was great at the beginning, but it became boring at the end.
  • System starts to appear rarely at the end and card extraction becomes non-existent. Even if some cards appear, they were non-extractable. So, MC can't extract...
  • There are some plotholes in the story.
  • Romantic subplot's not good.

"As soon as the voices fell, the three men of Kyle escaped from the gravity and floated out, leaving the sky on the roof to fly." (from context, which barely exists in this arc, I suppose the "three men of Kyle" are his enemies)

"Her beautiful cold face, under the flames, is beautiful and domineering, even if women look at it, they will sway. It can only be kept for less than a second, and Lorna is difficult to maintain high cold." (Don't ask me who Lorna in this story is, or where she came from. I Don't Fu*kin Know. And "it can only be kept for less than a second" probably relates to her ability from a couple of sentences before it)

These I quickly found in one chapter (ch77. Not the only one with bad translation, but this problem happened so often, it became unbearable.)

Absolutely loved it. A bit different take on all those Marvel universe fanfic. I love how the MC is freely messing up the timeline rather than blindly following it like the other fanfic.

It's a fun novel with an OP MC and it's is mostly a wish fulfillment novel about entering the Marvel universe... I'did even say it's more like a fanfiction about entering the Marvel universe with a system like power.

He has the power of extracting other peoples talents 4 his own use, with some limitations. So he continues getting stronger than ev1.

Honestly, its well written and fun 2 read, unless u can't bear 4 the original marvel world as u know it being shattered :p

Here I am again, start reading this, for some reason all good ones have slow updates and the average and those borderline weird are updating in masses.

This novel around average, some plot holes would leave readers asking "Why is that?" or "That's not how it supposed to be" or "That's so random" but hey its a fanfic.

Quite OK for reading in-between updates of your fav novel ig, no need to think too much reading this (I sure don't), just read it casually.

Well first of all I don't want to add review in here. I like the story, I am immerse in it. Though I'm only at chapter 57, the side characters personality seems to differ from the original one. Good story though, its just like this guy does not act like a fan anymore but use the knowledge for himself and which benefitted from it. I'm kinda expecting a lot from this novel cause it's really interesting for me.

But, looking at the comments, it's like the original characters of marvel is replaced with MC and they became totally useless. Huhu, I was expecting avlot from this and yet my heart breaks.

such as when the Mc's avatar Ceaser gets put into the X men universe he doesn't do anything, and gives the ridiculous excuse that since he isn't form this universe, he should let them solve most things themselves

Besides some few things however it's a great read, and one of the few novels I've bothered to read the MTL for.

In response to someone else's review about the inconsistency of the mc's memory about the plot, you have to keep in mind that at that point he has been in the Marvel world for well over 60 years, I guarantee most people won't remember the plot of some Marvel movies after that long, yet could most likely still recognize the main characters of said plot.

The end where he is the ruler of his own universe is also an interesting plot that I haven't really seen before in these types of novels, and fits in perfect with his previous simulated fight where it leaves the message that "this world is fake"
