Immediately after Gu Changge realized he had transgressed into a fantasy world, the world’s protagonist, and fortune’s chosen, vowed to take revenge on him. Envied by all, he not only has the female lead head over heels for him but he’s also treated as a distinguished guest wherever he goes. Fortunately, Gu Changge’s prestige and power are superior to everyone else’s, so shouldn’t it be easy to trample on a mere fortune’s chosen?

Hold on… There’s a system dedicated to milking and harvesting from the protagonist? Gu Change smirked. “Seems like even fate wants me to fulfill my destiny as the Villain of this world!”

MC is op as hell and is a scheming bastard, he always seems to have a backup plan and his actions and pretty well thought however the side characters are s*upid as fk which allows the MC to predict their every move, pretty decent if not for the fact the side characters are idiots

well written, villainous stallion cultivation novel. good character building and world building. slapping down heaven’s sons and stealing heaven’s daughters. not boring. however, this aunty is not a fan of unfaithful characters (unless they are the ones getting slapped). so this aunty is dropping the story. if you like powerful women in a strong man’s harem situations, this is for you. protagonist is a user and careful villain who knows how to create positive feelings from those he wins over. there is also no obvious smut, so rather clean for... more>> a stallion novel too. just... it’s a stallion novel 🤷🏻‍♀️ <<less

The concept and first couple arcs were very promising. The author delivered on most of the arcs in the lower realm. However, after the MC gets to the upper realm, all the old characters are abandoned (for the few arcs I read past) and the following arcs become a slog to read through.

It seems like the author planned for the first few arcs and then just kinda winged it after that since he didn't know what to do once he completed his initial arcs. The author also starts repeating similar... more>> lines/dialogue multiple times to pad the word count which makes it a chore to read.

For those picking which TL to go with:

Fantasy World Online: All the names are properly TL'd in line with what you'd expect from other CN novels, but has really bad editing/grammar such as wrong tenses and mixing up genders. (It starts off readable and gets worse as it goes on, probably switched from real TLer to (barely) edited MTL at some point)

Divine Dao Library: Has really good grammar/editing but really weird choices with name translations. <<less

In fact the story is good enough. But for those who are disappointed in the translation and/or can't quite get the plot around but still wanted to read it for it's potential, I recommend just reading the manhua. That one is much cooler, the art is very good and the translation is very reliable.

Strange novel. The idea is interesting. The main character, according to the author's intention, was reborn and is ready to act independently. But in the very first chapters, her main man appeared, who watches over her, so that nothing happens, violates the patriarchy.

I am a man, but reading such an invasion of privacy is disgusting to me. I stopped reading this story because I don't see the personalities of the protagonist, but I see the personalities of her future man.

Of course, you can tell me - I need to read... more>> further. But I'm just a consumer. I want to look at a hero/heroine who is likable. Honestly, the heroine is pleasant to me, but the hero announced by her is disgusting to me to the point of impossibility. <<less

tr*sh.

Everything seems plane, u start the series and u understand nothing, the cultivation system is just useless because most of the characters ignore it, the MC just have a shop where he powerlevel at garbage price, tbh the writter is so lazy that didnt put other options, prize, reasoning, or something.

But what triggers me is the harem, not comments, he exist, they fall for him, even if he's a piece of tr*sh.

Dont expect any explaining of his previous life, his reincarnation, the shop, the world, settings, etc. Is just a... more>> copy paste of hero 1 get owned, steal female 1, buy power (that he doesnt even need since he's already op) to use 1 time, and not even appear in 80 chapters.

I apologize for anyone that readed this garbage, I read monthly all in the top 40, and this is the worst cultivation novel (even villain novel) that u can find. <<less

can't stand his sister and fiancee holy sh*t they are so annoying its crazy

dude been trying for 70 chapters to fix them, barely made any progress holy

his fiancee doesn't like when other women are around MC but she herself doesn't like when he's around her cause "she fears for her life" like where is the f*cking logic she even sends people to find out the women that MC is spending time with. MC gives her some ultra mega rare sh*t she takes it and is like "omg I cant believe... more>> he's so nice to me" just to revert back to "no he's just a scheming son of a b*tch" in 3 seconds that's why there's no f*cking progress like whens he ever been scheming against you you s*upid b*tch

his sister's f*cking braindead how did she even survive her past life with the way she is acting, like, original MC killed people for the smallest things yet she somehow survived talking sh*t and threatening him each time she sees him

they all going in a circle MC does something they are impressed but then they like "no he's that and he did that" or "he is just scheming against me don't fall for him" at this point I don't even know how the f*ck he gonna fix them like what is he supposed to do <<less

The way the story is translated is pretty good with some inconsistencies sometimes, and it was actually a good read for the first part for me. What just annoys me is what the other readers have said. Like dude doesn't kill the females but kills all the fortune's sons... plus... ... more>>
Spoiler

bro literally r*pes this one woman (jiang chuchu) and this woman even falls for him like dafuq? Plus he doesn't kill her after her use... erm

[collapse]

so like bruhh... plus the more chaps progress, the more he gets involved with these women... I mean yes there's a harem tag, and this is just personal preference but I was really hoping that he wouldn't be so involved with them and I'm also not really a fan of unfaithful men so yeah. I pretty much read the manhua first since there's an adaptation and then read the novel along to actually confirm some stuff. For those wondering though if the s*x are written in detail, no they aren't, they're pretty much just left to speculation.

But then, it's so hypocritical how he's attacking the children of fortune when, if we think of it in our perspective, he is so obviously op? Like the system, and how he just gets everything without trouble like yeah sure? Plus, there's the fact that all women just fall for him so easily, like what I mentioned in the spoiler for example. It's honestly an ick...

Additionally, I can't help but think that the Heaven's sons are written to he ret*rded and brainless. He wins so easily to be honest. I mean I am into Op characters too but this one just has one super op ML and heaven's children that have brain rot.

But then again I'm only in ch 294 so things could be better? But I'm dropping it for real, like it's giving me ick. It could be other people's cup of tea though just not mine especially his relationships with women, like I can understand a lot of women falling for him and stuff, but it's him doing it with them that I just am not into. Like I said, I prefer faithful mls. But it was good while it lasted. <<less

If you ever wondered what would happen if a japanese tried writing a chinese novel, this is it. The two main themes are Bias and Misunderstandings. They constantly happen, it's the main way of moving plot, the main point of comedy, etc.

Everyone looks at MC as if he is Evil Incarnate, at the same time people judge each other differently, if MC does something, it's evil, someone else does it, it's good. Of course it is more complicated than that, but that's the general way things go.

Everyone has their own... more>> bias, MC thinks he's not evil, despite killing an entire sect with hundreds of thousands of people simply cause one dude from that sect had a spine.

Disappointingly, harem tag really ruins this novel a lot, MC says he's good cause he doesn't choose to kill the girls, despite killing so many irrelevant or innocent people. Harem tag also means that all women are wired in such a way to love MC, even those women who have 0 reasons to love him and 100 reasons to kill him.

In the end MC is just the same Protagonist that he supposedly kills off, a psycho who believes he is right, but that's the theme here, all characters are extremely twisted in their thinking process. It's just annoying that the novel makes itself out to be MC beating up bs protagonists, but then we see that half of those protagonists are women that still do bs but instead of MC beating them up MC tries to get into their panties.

Recommend to read from Fantasy World Online, they have both Tl and Ed, much better quality and ease of reading + they comment on the points that could be hard to understand etc. Divine Dao Library translates in a very different style, which was interesting at first, but they literally cut out paragraphs from the novel, also grammatical f*ck ups and so on, women get described as "timber" wtf I see in dictionary it can be used as an adjective but come on that's such a shitty word to use to describe a woman's appearance I can't stop myself from imagining a tree with a human face and makeup wearing a dress with jade branches for fingers ffs.

oh and btw people are s*upid in this novel, problem is you can read their inner thoughts and all, which makes them look extra super s*upid

Spoiler

girl returned into the past and saw that some things are different, but instead of trying to find out where those differences begin and end and why are they there, she just says whatever and doesn't bother with it, que next sentence "oh my god! Why are things sooo different?! F*ck if im gonna check the history, it's totally cause I went into the past and changed something, whatever, don't think about it." Then something happens again that goes against her future memories and repeat

[collapse]

Also sometimes it happens that author changes some details, i.e. One reason was given for something happening, but later a completely different and less persuasive reason was given when reminding of the event. It's annoying af

Spoiler

MC literally said in front of a crowd that only he can bully his sister and no one else can, he proved his words by killing the guy who tried bullying mc's sister, but who cares, later on everyone is still bullying his sister and everyone thinks that MC won't save her or kill those bullies

• The writing is fairly simple and straightforward. The sentences are generally short and to the point without much complexity in syntax or grammar. This suggests the writing is aimed at a less sophisticated readership.

• There is minimal use of figurative language like metaphors, similes, or imagery. The writing relies more on describing events in a literal, matter-of-fact way.

• The pacing is fairly fast with the plot moving quickly from one event or revelation to the next. There are not many descriptive interludes that slow down the pace.

• The tone... more>> is generally neutral to slightly positive. There is no real attempt at creating a darker, brooding tone. The focus is more on action and plot development.

• There is minimal character development or insight into the motivations and psychology of the characters beyond the superficial. The characters seem more like plot devices to drive the story forward.

• Information is relayed primarily through dialogue and descriptions of events and actions. There are few insights into the inner thoughts or feelings of characters.

• The writer relies heavily on telling the reader what is happening rather than showing through sensory details, metaphors, or pacing. There is a predominance of "expository" writing over "descriptive" or "reflective" writing.

In summary, the writing exhibits many characteristics common in genre or commercially focused writing like web novels - a fast pace, straightforward description of events, and minimal character development or stylistic flourishes. The focused, no-frills style ensures the story moves along quickly and information is conveyed efficiently, though there is little attempt at stylistic sophistication. <<less

Although I quite love this novel, it might not be for everyone. This novel is more about destroying cliche protagonists of Chinese literature. The conflict can be lacking since the "heroes" who act as the antagonists of the novel do not poise much of a threat. They are more like puzzles that randomly throw out bullsh*t than actual dangers for the villain MC. The meat of the story is him solving these "puzzles." He carefully dismantles them until they are nothing and takes their fortune for himself as reward. It... more>> is a novel more about seeing how the "heroes" fall than seeing who comes out on top. <<less

Usually when you have a villain protagonist, either the enemies are worse so you identify with the protagonist, or the protagonist has some redeeming trait (s) that make you root for him despite the fact that he is evil. Here, there is no such thing. The main character is just plainly evil, and the people he harms come across as just being s*upid or arrogant so there is no great sense of achievement. He is given every power and advantage and then goes after these "sons of heaven" who are... more>> supposedly much luckier than him, but all of them to this point are much lower in station, so it doesn't feel very fun to read him smacking around some poor sod who has no clue what is going on.

At least if he had some genuine feelings towards the women who love him it might be interesting, but he doesn't. <<less

Honestly hard to choose between 3 and 4. I do definitely recommend reading it, but I'm also dropping it at this point. It would be an easy 4 or maybe a 5, but around c750 it adds some time stuff which I personally despise. It's almost never done well imo, and definitely not this time.

Before that though, it's great. It has some consistency issues and a few plot holes, but better than most. The MC is a pretty much totally merciless bastard, exterminating millions of people for disrespecting him isn't... more>> rare. He basically goes around gaining power, showing off, and building his harem. He's a bit of a josei protagonist (so an as*hole and occasionally a rapist), but he's unapologetically evil so I love him tbh.

An explanation for the time thing, I recommend dropping when you reach it or just skipping that part since it's only a few chapters (although it adds more later, which is why I'm totally dropping now) :

Spoiler

there's the river of time and some things that can travel in it / change stuff, but changing the past is said to cause huge karma backlash that kills immortals so nobody does it. So what does the MC do? In a relatively isolated universe he goes back millions of years, builds a temple thing, then spends a thousand years nurturing a disciple. Note that he isn't even 30 years old at this point, but the thousand years obviously doesn't affect him at all because reasons. Then, he goes back to the present, and the universe is totally changed (but somehow all the others are the exact same? They're connected, and the disciple even leaves to search for him so it's clearly not just contained). He then gets basically no backlash, despite totally changing the universe for millions of years.

[collapse]

There's also a time skip a bit after that, which I also dislike though not as much. Imo the first 750 chapters are really good, so I highly recommend reading at least the beginning. <<less

It is good but it is too male centric where women are treated like pets to be raised and are foolish enough to always get trapped in MC's words and fall in love with him even after all that bad treatment.

One of the most refreshing CN I've ever read, barely any complaints. MC is not be trifled with. He isn't shy, passive, emotional, a pxssy, or simp. He puts himself first and treat guys and girls alike all the same. He's op and very smart not to mention very low-key villainous, but the author always bring in new plots, arcs, and ppl just in time to keep things interesting.

I would like it if he honestly had more relations with more of the women, but it's fine as it is as... more>> well too. <<less

In order to be genre savvy, our MC, the villain becomes the typical manhua villain. Wow how surprising.

Oh yeah, Villains die early. That's why you inhabited his body when you got isekaid. He died. And no, being a frosty bit*h isn't being strong either Yue. You had a second chance, and you're still stuck in an abusive relationship.

Interesting start. It could of went the way that everyone is their own protagonist, or that good and evil is just according to perception, but no, MC is just more emo than... more>> the Fated Sons. <<less
