I became the dedicated guide for cursed espers.

One cursed with insomnia.

One cursed with permanent phantom pain.

One cursed with mana overdrive.

And with my ability, I can alleviate their pain.

After experiencing my power, the espers tried to exploit it, and in the end, unable to resist the temptation of 1.2 billion won, I became their diligent worker ant.

Pretending it’s all part of the guiding process, I keep the truth of my powers hidden.

Though it was a bit uncomfortable when the impurities expelled themselves like coughing up blood after absorbing their curses, as it didn’t involve any real pain, I continued to fulfil my duties diligently.

But after the espers saw me coughing blood, they completely misunderstood the situation, and now they regret making me work so hard.

“I don’t want to see you in pain because of me, Idam.”

“Hyung, I hate seeing you struggle. It hurts me more.”

“If I could save you by giving my life, I would….”

That wasn’t my intention, though?

The MC is way too much of a pushover. It's quite annoying/frustrating. The fact that the espers are the ones who needs him, and not the other way around, but he still being so passive when the espers are so rude, frustrates me to no end.

And also, I don't know if it's the author's way of writing or it's the translation, but they're stretching the scenes too much. Like, please just get to the point and stop blabbering.

In short, I like to plot. I just don't like how they deliver... more>> it. <<less

The premise of the story initially hooked me, especially with the tension surrounding the main character (MC) hiding his powers and faking his illness, as described in the synopsis. I was eager to read more, thinking I'd find an interesting, sacrificial, and capable MC. While the interactions between characters are cute and the romance is pleasant, it quickly became clear that the story was more focused on one love interest, leaving the others with minimal roles. You can probably guess the main love interest just by the first 10 chapters.

The... more>> misunderstandings that drive the plot feel forced, and the romance develops too quickly, with the love interests (especially Shin Youbin and An Jaehyun) falling for the MC without sufficient build-up or reasoning. While we get brief glimpses of their backstories, they're mentioned only in passing, and I was expecting more depth through POV shifts or flashbacks. As a result, the characters feel underdeveloped and their motivations lack depth.

If you're expecting dungeon raids or scenes where the MC uses his powers in high-stakes situations, you might be disappointed. The story mainly focuses on the MC's interactions with the love interests, creating misunderstandings and guilt over his fake illness. While the characters are likable, the storytelling could have been stronger to make them more realistic and relatable.

Overall, I enjoyed the story, but it didn't meet my expectations. The lack of action and the MC's power being underutilized left me disappointed. If you don't mind a slower, character-focused story, it's still entertaining. <<less

Someone really should add slice-of-life tag. Because that's what this novel basically is.

I was expecting more action and drama based on the synopsis but nope. 90% of this novel feels like fillers. MC seems to have no self discipline with how fast his pants fell in the story but I guess that's just how yaoi plot goes these days.

Hey!

This is a simple story with a sole focus on romance and a bit of focus on adaptation due to transmigration. The author claimed it's a story of 3 love interests with one remaining at the end, but I'd say the main character has only one love interest throughout the whole story.

A reader gets to know the MC who transmigrated into the world of a novel. MC was a guide himself before, hence there is no exploration of the phenomenon - nor it matters much, honestly. The whole plot is... more>> about getting to know the three espers he must now work with, uncovering their background stores, and building relationships with one of them. MC is cowardly and childish, so he just goes with the flow and reacts on things, instead of planning or deeply analysing.

There is no TWs, a bit of misunderstanding, and little drama. Which makes it a safe and easy read. <<less
