The Heavenly Dao bestowed blessings from the Immortal Realm upon females, making them inherently noble and superior to men from the moment they were born. Among countless women, celestial maidens occasionally descended to aid their Followers in awakening spiritual roots and pursuing the Great Dao of immortality. Thus, all sect masters across the Immortal Blessing Continent were revered celestial maidens – including leaders of the top three sects and six factions among immortal sects.

The newly transmigrated celestial maiden You You felt immense pressure! An entire sect full of fragile little brothers clamoring for care – how exhausting would this be?

Yet during Secret Realm expeditions, battles against demon tribes, and sect conflicts, Sect Master You You persistently charged ahead, spearheading every struggle herself! This was how a true leader protected her flock!

The Followers, Protectors, and Partner Candidates whispered: “Something’s wrong with our Master… Why pursue strength when she could’ve remained a delicate blossom?”

So I didn't realize this was by the same author as "My Disciple Died Yet Again", which is one of my fav novel of this genre. It's definitely not as amazing as MDDYA but it's also a good novel with its own story so I highly recommend giving this a try especially if you do like MDDYA. TBH, the translation is not good. It cuts out a lot of descriptions and it's confusing. If you are the type that can read MTL then I encourage you to read the original... more>> Chinese novel with MTL instead. There's a lot that was lost in the translation that makes the MC seem more crude than she actually is.

Overall, the novel is great and not too long. It's not perfect and there are a lot of little things that aren't explained well IMO but this doesn't mean it's not worth your time to read. The MC randomly transmigrated into a cultivation setting and ends up in a forest with a game system that doesn't seem to work no matter what button she presses. Out of the junk items in her inventory, there is a free celebration fireworks that she decides to use in an empty space (very similar to how Death March starts out but this is the only similar thing). MC uses fireworks, blows up a ton of monsters, gain max XP and several titles, and becomes super powerful all in the click of a button. However she doesn't realize how strong she actually is so along the way, she tries to avoid trouble only to accidently just beat them into submission. She gains a bunch of little brothers and eventually starts on the path of creating a home for everyone.

In this world, women are very rare and even rarer are women who can create spiritual roots called celestial maidens. Men are born without spiritual roots and have to rely on celestial maidens in order to cultivate. There are special bloodlines that can sometimes have a male with a spiritual root but they also struggle to cultivate. So celestial maidens are usually sect leaders and new celestial maidens have the ability to create their own sect. Honestly, it's interesting how the MC compares sects to how corporate businesses works and celestial maidens as CEOs, noble families as investors, and disciples as employees, etc. Thus, MC embarks on the path of creating the #1 corporation in the world with thousands of employees with complete employee benefits. Because the MC is from modern times, she sees everyone as an equal which is very different from the world where women are very rare, thus, very valuable so most males feel like they have a duty to protect any female they see. However, you'll start to realize the reason why women are so rare is not that simple. It dates back thousands of years and involves mortals, immortals, and gods.

For the ML, honestly, there's only one that really stands out so it's not that much of a surprise. It's Xun Rong who she meets pretty early on. He didn't approach her with the best intentions but he definitely fell for her first and pretty hard. He's also the silly tsundere type and they're actually pretty much opposites in terms of personality. He's the love brain type and she's the calm cool type. At first, she doesn't like him as much as he likes her but she does like him enough to give him a chance and that was all he needed. I think overall their relationship is pretty sweet. They're both very strong but seesaw back and forth on who is stronger especially towards the end when their true identities are revealed.

This MC is very similar to the MCs in all of the author's novel. So if you like the MC of MDDYA, then you'll probably like this one too. There are a lot of strong female characters and the MC is easily one of the strongest but also one of the kindest. She's super protective of everyone in her sect, even random disciples who don't normally have any screentime. There was a part where the celestial maidens were inflicted with a curse that will hurt the people they love the most but because the MC loves too many people (every single person in the sect) then the curse couldn't curse that many people so it self-destructed without her having to do anything. She's also pretty funny, for example, in order for her to use her game abilities, she has to shout out phrases that were key-bind to her attack moves and can't change the phrases. So her ability to implant spiritual roots is to touch the other person and shout out "Don't move around, I'll buy you some oranges!" while one her sword moves is to shout out "Call me grandpa and I'll forgive you!". Overall, I really enjoy her personality and even though there are a few flaws (i.e. Her random misunderstandings that take too long to resolve sometimes), she's a very competent leader-type.

This novel has a lot of humor and I find that the author is unique at comparing the world of cultivators to the modern world, which is definitely a fresh take. It wraps up pretty quickly and I think it maybe tries a bit too hard to tie everything together in the end but it's not totally unbelievable. Compared to other novels of this kind of genre, it's definitely worth the time to read so I recommend you giving it a try. <<less
