I posted a prediction of the next story in the novel and was told not to spoil it.

In order to not interfere with the main character’s progress, I lived well in the area that only appeared in the novel’s setting.

I'd like to say I "enjoy" reading this novel. If you like the other author's novels, such as Pet Lady and My Little Grand Duchess, I'd say it isn't as bad with the weird torture dynamics as Duchess (I was wrong, it's worse!) straight up torture to force the protagonist into a s*ave contract with the mastermind. Hera's choice to become a s*ave is for the plot, but it's also reasonable. Since Athena is a master magician, she keeps Hera's heart from bursting due to shoving her magic power into Hera until she agrees to the contract. A normal person who just commented on a novel got transported to a world where she was the strongest, even for a moment. Then, the Hero shoves her fingers down your throat and you feel pain that makes you want to die. You have no choice but to accept. This is also the event that shatters Hera's belief in the original novel since it literally didn't say anything about this.

Personally, this is better than Grand Duchess, even if it is the earlier work.. for now. If you enjoy this author's works, I'd say you'd be desensitized to the amazing amounts of second-hand embarrassment, humiliation, and deprivation of human rights or straight up dropped it from the start. I'd rank the cruelty levels: Mastermind, Grand Duchess, Pet Lady (it goes off the rails at the end so might be higher)

Pet Lady is definitely written way better. The plot points in this novel are abrupt and kind of crap.

Setting:

Hera: Protagonist, is a reincarnator with a unique ability, super strength. "Black Bear that Tears People Apart."

Dania: One of the love interests. Older sister of Lily. She embodies the older sister archetype with a lot of darkness.

Lily: One of the love interests. Little sister of Dania and the yandere in the novel. Not an adult yet. Trained to be an asassin.

Athena: Love interest. The Hero of the Empire. Also the mastermind of the novel. Mysterious attraction to Hera. No unique ability, only magic shown to be used. Her monologues give me literal chills in a really, really bad way. I understand she's broken somewhere but holy shit, being glad you didn't force yourself upon her when Hera was sleeping because you were h**ny because she said "I love you" reads like male leads' monologues in equally strangely-written "romance (?) stories.

.... all three are probably pe*verts. (I was regrettably right)

Special abilities: rare, only a handful of people have it and are conscripted. Known: Saintess, Crown Prince, Hera, Beast Princess

If you read the titles of the raws, it's pretty clear that there's f-preg and marrying... and polygamy..r-19. A lot of things you'd expect from a yuri Korean novel of the genre. If you're pissed it's going to turn out like this, oh well. I'm going to drop this if it gets way too extreme like Grand Duchess.

Edit: I'd drop it at this point. After ~95, there's a school arc that has nothing to do with the main premise and draws out, with more degeneracy involving the Academy. <<less

Very few chapters out so far but I think this novel has had a strong start and I like the premise. The MC is also enjoyable. I disagree with the other review wanting the novel to rush to introduce the mastermind to the MC, I think it's a good thing for the novel to take it's time and let the MC become accustomed to her new world and body before getting involved with the main plot of the novel. I think a common trap novels fall into is just rushing... more>> things to keep the pace fast, but often that leads to a lack of proper development. This novel seems to be avoiding that trap and I'm excited to see where it goes <<less

Stuff gets really foul, I love it

Honestly, it was a bit slow at the start, but after some chapters, it gets rather intense. Still, the first chapters are not bad at all, and lay the foundation for what's to come.

If you don't like (or are triggered by) abusive relationships, manipulation, and things like that, I really don't recomend you this novel.

So far, I've been loving it, and I'm going to check out more things from the author.

Protagonist enters the world of a novel as a strong extra with a unique constitution. She starts off adamant about not interfering with the plot, but eventually gives up, having caused a cascading butterfly effect every time she interacted with a named character. This effect generates various flavors of yanderes, and those yanderes compete with each other to clinch a basement ending, somewhat limiting protagonist's ability to maintain relationships with sane non-OP characters.

The story has distinct arcs that focus on different groups of recurring characters. Some arcs are more tragic... more>> than others, for example, 'let's convince protagonist that all forms of yuri are just normal friendships' vs 'let's produce an environment where protagonist loses confidence in her own agency' with consequences for everyone involved later down the line. Though, the author offers the occasional breather from driving the mind break wedge deeper into the protagonist.

Image cover starts to make sense ~100 chapters in. Gaslighting mechanics are more nuanced and less repetitive than in author's other works Society's Pet and Little Grand Duchess. <<less

Read the free chapters in mtl up to chapter 15 since the translation haven't gotten to that point. Before starting the novel, I expected the mastermind to come in contact with MC quickly but was wrong. The mastermind is hardly even mentioned up to chapter 15. I assume that is to show the life of the MC before introducing the mastermind.

Im predicting there will be some time skip and the mastermind will show itself soon, because the title of the novel would not have made sense otherwise as it would... more>> drag out the MC arc for too long.

Will continue reading to see where it goes after chapter 15 when the translation reaches.

I enjoyed the early part, promising starter. When he starts to interact with the yandere sister it starts getting uncomfortable cause MC doesn't seem to have brain to noticed she clearly into him. Despite MC already read the original storyline to the advanced chapter.

Logical mistakes I can take since it's his first time in girl body. But as soon as the mastermind came in n torture her abit. MC lost all guts, like he was born female with 0 traits left of male pride. She already told MC she won't... more>> kill him but he still caved in like it was the end of the world.

Based on his unique ability he got fair chance if can withstand the torture n turn the mana that holds him back into his own power but no. He didt think of that all and worried bout losing others without understanding the situation clearly. Ended up being played like a toy. <<less

It starts out promising but as soon as the master s*ave relationship part happens it devolves into another one of those stories where the MC is just being strung along and controlled by someone else.

If you're looking for good plot and story development then look elsewhere. This is a sadistic fetish work.
