Waking up one day, Lin Shu transmigrates to the interstellar era, becoming the youngest son of the prestigious Lin family of the Imperial Star… only to learn the very next day that the family has found their long-lost true heir. Unfortunately, Lin Shu is the fake young master. His dream of being part of the interstellar elite crumbles.

To survive, Lin Shu picks up his old craft of writing. And then—

– [The food in his stories can actually be recreated? Are we finally free from tasteless nutrient supplements?]

– [The opening chapter where the parents seem to want to eat me is terrifying…]

– [“Woman, I’ll make sure the whole universe knows this planet belongs to you!” Why has no one ever said that to me?]

From gourmet tales to infinite flow adventures and domineering military love stories, everything Lin Shu writes becomes a sensation, propelling him to the top of the interstellar network’s fan rankings.

– [By the way, does anyone else feel a healing effect from the ‘Teriyaki Chicken’ story?]

– [??? What kind of nonsense is that?]

– [That’s just a myth from the First Star War era. Healers have degenerated so much—don’t make us laugh!]

– [No, it’s real!!]

As everyone knows, the Lin family’s attempt to climb the Imperial Star’s social ladder through their true heir’s healing abilities failed. Meanwhile, the author whose stories can heal is revealed to be—

– [They got back a D+ grade and lost an S-grade.]

– [Some people just don’t have that kind of fate.]

Ah! Idk the personality type our main character counts as, but it’s my favorite. Just a straight up funny menace. Mischievous

10/10: writing, plot, setting, etc.

I would elaborate, but that would enter spoiling and maybe in a future review update I will. But rn it has 18c, and I’d like more meat on the bone before I unleash a in-depth review.

so far, so good!

I really don't like BL's but this one tagged with shounen AI don't dwell to it that much. It felt like its Gon's and killua's relationship. As for the story. It's your typical chinese face slapping stories. A feel good novel I should say. Something that you'll binge read without the story having a definite conclusion or goal. all in all its a good read. Enjoyable and not that complex.

Overpowered MC with no flaws, zero tension, and a story that leans hard on tropes without doing anything interesting with them. The side characters are interchangeable, and the ML is only remotely engaging when he’s a cat. Comedy feels forced. The author tried to juggle too much and dropped the ball - there’s no emotional payoff if that’s what you’re here for.

Dropped at chapter 43. Ambitious premise, weak execution.

Wouldn’t recommend, not even as a light, turn-your-brain-off read.

It's a silly novel. It reads more like the author wanted to write about various plot ideas in addition to the main novel. They balance a combination of novel summary and dialogue that the MC is writing (which are actually interesting), novel reader comments, and the actual novel plot (which is to say it isn't much, especially in the first half of the story). I'd say the novels MC is writing is quite interesting and varied. The premise of his career success is that his writing is innovative and prolific.... more>> Each novel brings even greater success for him.

The animals are cute so I totally understand MC's obsession. I wish we had more story background on the role of spirit animals. But they're mostly there for ambiance and vibes - very self indulgent haha. The ML is a bit of a himbo. The relationship chemistry is okay. ML is trying his best but he's not the brightest and our MC is emotionally obtuse. It's a bit of a slow burn with nothing really happening between them until half way through the novel. And even then, the relationship is spread out between MC's career line (and therefore all the novels he's writing). ML pursues MC the entire time. I wasn't particularly moved by the romance but it's okay. Most of the characters have shallow depth in terms of the main story but it's enough for a light read. The fake family doesn't show up much in the first half other than to be an occasional antagonist. While there doesn't seem to be a main large antagonist, the one that shows up through the entire novel is another novelist who goes against MC. And ofc this other galaxy but that's over fairly quick. The author delves more into the main plot in the second half of the story. The first half of the story fits the summary. The second half suddenly gets some more main Bible plot points that was only hinted at in the first half and more romance - there are some hints so I wasn't surprised. But main focus is still on MC's career and his writing.

Overall, still a light read I'd say. <<less
