Very mid ngl, the MC is reincarnated into a modern day romantic comedy and the story begins when he's 4-5 years old. Here's where the problem starts, not much is mentioned about his past life nor is anything about the difference between his original world and this one is expanded on. All we know is that the MC came from a household that was worst off than his current one (nothing interesting is mentioned, no ab*se, no poverty, nothing), we also know that he has a talent/passion for art but... more>> because he failed in his past life he is now too much of a pu*sy to actively pursue it.

Now so what is this novel about? The title says "I Became an Artist in a Romantic Comedy" but he's too much of a pu*sy to be an artist, the art is just some bullsh*t to insert unnecessary family drama. Which btw just make him more pathetic, the author kinda tries to go the "oh he took someone's elses place" but immediately make the MC out to be a victim and have his new parents comfort him. It's such a self-insert story that's it's not even funny.

The second part of the title "romantic comedy" is even worse. The aspect that we'd be interested in how would a character fictional work interact with this world and our protagonist? But nope, the focus is entirely on the mc's (who could be 20-30 year old by this point) "budding" romantic relationship with his 4 year old neighbor. The author writes about how the MC is subconscious about the 4 year old girl and how he shouldn't fantasize about her wanting to meet him since that only leads to disappointment and just now on chapter 10 where he says his heart skipped a beat when he saw her "flipped her hair back" while she was in a swimsuit.

Oh forgot to mentioned, the MC already met the original romantic comedy MC and his childhood friend, everything is brushed aside. The MC talked about harems for a little while and fantasize about how maybe he can also get a harem, then the 4 year old girl threated to kill the original mc's childhood friend (using the cut throat gesture) when the childhood friend looked at MC too much.

Overall, it's ret*rded. Don't waste your time, I already did it for you. <<less
