I reincarnated as a lizard in a martial arts world.

“Roar!”

“He’s using the lion’s roar!”

“To deflect the Ten-Star Power Plum Blossom Sword Technique! Truly indestructible as they say!”

“This is… the Heavenly Demon Overlord Technique! It’s a Heavenly Demon, the Heavenly Demon has appeared!”

It seems they’re mistaking me for something else.

God.

This poor lamb is pleading.

I won't ask you to save me.

Just give me the strength to delete the maid outfit Spino and school swimsuit Therizino left on the hard drive.

This story probably started as a comedy. A comedy with very subtle details that hints towards the author's love of reptiles. The MC isnt a secret agent or black company office worker, he isnt a high ranking student or pro gamer. He is just someone that really really loves dinosaurs and he gets sent to (he believes) the world of dinosaurs by (presumably) the god of dinosaurs after spending all day trolling other users on a dinosaur forum. The first reviewer comments that the MC is s*upid for nodding his head towards an enemy, but thats exactly how many lizards communicate and show dominance when threatened by a predator. While the character's internal monolog seems hopelessly optimistic whenever he gets into a bad situation, and if taken literally you might mistakeningly assume he is hopelessly s*upid, his behavior is actually very reptile like.

by chapter 5 the focus of the world starts to expand, and the reader is given insight into more than whats in the mc's tiny lizard brain. he isnt the only sentient organism in this setting, as hinted in the story's title, and things start to become more and more interesting.

then chapter 9 introduces external human characters to give the reader a more solid worldview that the MC is still unaware of but is starting to suspect.

Stick with it until then if you aren't sure you like this kind of story or the MC.

about the harem tag:

spiders. this charming lizard was able to get spiders to fall in love with him. not monster girl spiders. not archanae. actual, 100% literal spiders. It's a spirital world so maybe they become ladies later... anything is possible. Then he starts collecting other female... animals. But it all starts as a pure relationship between a lizard and the spiders/ect he met on his journey. It's rather cute.

The protagonist must have failed elementary school with how s*upid he is. He gets attacked by a predator and just nods in greeting, hoping it won't attack him and be as friendly as a puppy. I know it is supposed to be funny, but a life-and-death situation isn't suited for bad jokes. And just seems s*upid enough I'm convinced he died because he lost his last brain cell and forgot how to breathe.

I was laughing like crazy every time a female animal started flirting with the MC. Can't blame the poor guy; reincarnated as a lizard in a murim world and having to fight off predators and jealous lady spiders (yes, actual spiders) while yearning after dried persimmons and some peace and quiet is pure comedy.

.. Except the Spirutual beasts are dinosaurs... In a murim world... And it took me over 10 chapters to realise that the inner spiritual pouch something are in fact... b**bs.

Big b**bs.

And the rhinocero- sorry, the unicorn with... more>> its battle cry : monogamyyyyyyy!

Yes... some animals go "roarrrr!", but not this rhinocero- sorry, unicorn! This one goes "monogamyyyyy!"

I am not joking.

This novel made me worry tremendously for a lizard's c*astity.

The monologues are hilarious and the fighting scenes are very well written. <<less

It's ok

It's simply what it says. Evolving lizard in a world of murim.

Writing wise is definitely more leaning towards the web novel aspect as the chapter are short but also a bit mess sometimes as I feel like there are some lines that just feels pointless as they are there for filling the word count. This could be because the overall useage of the POV.

Harem tag is there because ... more>>

spiders fell affectionate due a skill, and one of the spider had it's silk getting milk. It is viewed as it is action that can only be done by the closest, in short words husband. Which is unfortunate, cause I don't understand why did it need a harem in the first place, or romance even. It was fine when the first spider encounter but man it had to be more than that

Action is ok,

admittedly every enemy face after the spider has been pure breeze till the MC face an obstacle that he has to overcome (although he end up being helped by a sect leader to learn martial arts), and coveniently give a suitable martial arts for him

Pacing wise is a bit fast, like way too fast right after 20 chapter, he already has access to powerful martial arts that just get more powerful when he evolves.

Also yeah it has dinosaurs in it but it so off given the fact they all live in a single mountain. How big is this mountain to have that much animals to the point dinosaur exist.

This is a dopamine novel, but man, it's a bit disappointing. It doesn't even excel at being one as well. I guess I expect too much since I have read novels like the world devouring serpent. <<less
