Very reminiscent of the author's previous novels like Top Tier Providence where you have an intelligent protagonist who knows when they can push forward with violence and when they should bide their time. There are a decent amount of small time skips like with top tier providence, and the larger time skips that happen in the Hyperbolic Training chamber are summarized quickly in a few lines. This does have much better pacing than Top Tier Providence, but a smaller cast which I feel helps with the pacing of this story... more>> compared to Top Tier Providence. Basically if you liked Top Tier Providence then you'll love this novel as it's even better. <<less

it was good but I felt things start to speed up towards the end and some/a lot of the story lines was kinda left hanging. The end felt meh because of it.

What a wonderful experience!

My favorite kind of cultivation novel!

It was both relaxing and exhilarating, while the content was without much upheaval the author's pacing was superb. Never a boring moment.

Loved it! 100% Recommend!

I like it.

MC is OP, but the story is not boring.

At one point or two, I did get bored, but within 5~10 chapters, the story hooked me in again.

... more>> The novel is about Fang Wang and his journey to the top, but it's not like other cultivation novels with endless fights and fighting the disciple then the master then elder then sect leader and so on. There's also no face slapping or any other cliche China tropes.

MC is also not a women chaser.

The story is close in style and mood to Top tier providence. While everyone is struggling, our MC is casually strolling through in the eyes of others. His struggles are within himself.

MC doesn't have quack morals or acts like a saint. He does what he feels is right, he will save people, but he will also massacre millions to prove a point.

While it's not a masterpiece novel, it is a great novel.

MC reincarnated and meets an in-universe regressor and clan-member who he helps to save their clan from death.

Via her help, they begin to expand the clan and its influence while also cultivating. The story is about how MC, as per titles, wishes to avoid ascension to a higher realm yet still become immortal.

Writing is very good and a traditional xianxia. If you liked the writing style from his other works, you will like it here as well. Does throw some people off as unlike the previous two, MC is more... more>> outgoing, travelling, fighting, etc. Essentially, it's a much more standard xianxia flavour. Author has mentioned how when he wrote the previous works, people complained on how MC doesn't travel and explore. Then in this book they comment on how MC never stays at home. TLDR: Don't come with expectations for another TTP like story, come for a standard xianxia with decent writing.

Story was definitely axed so the ending feels slightly rushed. Can tell authour planned 1000chs. <<less
