When I came to my senses, I became the villainess who managed a dark reverse harem romance-fantasy dormitory school.

This dormitory school is a place to imprison nobles, a place where they couldn’t see the light of the world for the rest of their life…

“You’re the woman who ordered to knock me out before.”

And now, the ‘Male Lead Number 1’ has been dragged in front of me.

…It seems that I’m totally screwed?

* * *

To avoid being killed by those male leads, I made a conscious effort to be friendly with them.

It was just that, though?

“If I can protect you, then I can do anything.”

“It’s very strange that I keep getting greedy for you.”

“Quickly, say you love me. Before I go completely insane.”

However, why did the male leads become obsessed with me instead of the female lead?

Since getting involved deeper with the male leads would put my life in danger, I decided to calmly run away for now.

…But, why are they chasing me?

Being honest, this novel is kind of overrated. There’s a limit to how much you can endure from someone and still be happy together. Sometimes, you just have to let it go — especially in this case. In my opinion, it’s not a happy ending if you carry a lot of resentment towards the person you’re with. And I’m not talking about little fights — the ML is honestly terrible; he ruined everything.

Spoiler

I feel like she only went back to him because he almost died, and I hate this kind of ending. There are things you can never truly forgive, and being around that person will only bring back bad memories.

It was handled in such a superficial way. I understand it’s a side story, but she wasn’t even trying to get pregnant — and suddenly, not only does it happen, but she’s immediately excited and happy about it. It felt so unrealistic. It’s natural for someone to feel shocked or need time to process something like that. It also feels strange because it goes against so much of what was built in the story. The ML didn’t want kids, and the FL never even talked about wanting to be a mother. It just feels like something they added because they thought that’s what the audience wanted.

I am currently reading this now and I can't count how many times I almost drop this coz it took 90+ chapters before she run away. So now I'm in the climax of the story and I still keep reading.

It's a cliché plot if you ask me like other villanous troupe with male lead protagonists sudddenly likes her when she changed then being obsessed with her when she escaped. I'm not saying that I don't like it coz I love cliché plot like that but this one is a messy... more>> writing. I don't like how the author forcing Dante as the final male lead when he treat the FL like tr*sh.

Also there's a lot of nonsensical action for the sake of the moments of the FL and one of the male protagonist:

Spoiler

She give the duke some medicine by using her own mouth when in fact she can actually do it with her own hands. 😒

Also it's funny like the author throwing random mental illness words for male lead obsession in the story coz what did they mean OCD? When it's actually obsessive love disorder. Lmfao. <<less

After chapter 100 (ish), the tone and quality completely change. Before that, although it has some logic issues, the pacing is balanced. FL is reasonable, and the ML is the perfect mix of dangerous and cute. His behavior pattern was so interesting to read. The tension between them felt so good too!

I don't know what other readers expect, but her runaway arc is nicely placed. Of course, it's going to be near the story's peak; I can't understand why you would complain about that. She has to build connections to... more>> go back later; there wouldn't be a story left if she ran away from the 20th chapter.

Normally I'm not too fond of runaway FLs but this time she has a good reason. I'd be afraid too if my lover was Dante. Also, it's his mistake for

never saying I love you or never making her his official fiance. He didn't confirm anything and left all the school work to FL.

SHE WAS TIRED DAMMIT.

Their separation was tastefully short too, HOWEVER, I feel like the author totally lost their way after that. First I really enjoyed the angst. Then, I started to question it... "Why is this still continuing? Can we move on?" Not so long after I realized that the whole drama turned into a total sh-t show.

The MLs ALL lose it. The writing makes you hate the characters you like. The reasoning and common sense are completely GONE too. I thought I'd add this novel to my favorites dammit. I'm sad. Umm, then the author does something so ridiculous that whoopps! all the unnecessary s*upidity is covered in the laziest way ever.

Spoiler

The side stories didn't give any info about the other MLs after the last mess. They must be traumatized, I really wondered how they must be dealing with their past...

[collapse]

If I may add, although the cover picture is quite nice, doesn't fit this story or its characters.

Sighh... That's it. <<less

This is truly the most aggravating editing I've read on a webnovel. By chapter 10 the line breaks are like 10 lines long with single words in between. I dropped it one time for that. Later, I tried to read it again not remembering anything about it, and it again almost made me drop it. I made it to chapter 36 the second time but it's just not an interesting story. Same kinds of typical machine translation errors like getting pronouns and subjects wrong. Skip this one unless you're really... more>> patient and bored. <<less

I actually quite like this story.

This kind of setting and premise are completely within my preferences, and I find the writing easy to read. There are plenty of cliches in the story but I like cliches-- that's why I keep reading these.

There are some pronoun mistakes in the translation but it's readable.

The Male Leads are:

The Duke

Spoiler

Lucien. The blondie with blue eyes. A young boy who was sent to this bonding school prison by a cousin he trusted but betrayed him to try and take the duchy. He's 18 at the beginning of the story and starts off rightfully a bit prickly but he is the soft boy type. As of this part of the story, he is definitely the most morally good one. We don't see that much of him though because he's mostly locked up. He's a bit mischievous and gets excited like the kid he is when FL tells him she dumped wine on his evil cousin for being a skeeze to women.

The Marquis

Spoiler

Dante. Black hair, red eyes. The ultimate villain, lord of the underworld and the Elze's lover. He is a love or hate ML-- for anyone who does like him best he is the problematic fave. He is the typical obsessed yandere type. He's kinda childish and only nice to people he likes.

He starts kind of indifferent, and is legitimately someone Elze should be afraid of. However, he catches the "interesting" bug because of FLs new antics and his appreciation that she is showing him "genuine" consideration. He starts to become yandere-defensive of FL. While at first he defends her because of his own reputation, he starts to do it because he feels offended that people are disrespecting her. He also gets really clingy. He becomes kind of considerate too-- he apologizes to FL for always smoking around her later on in the story. He's not a coercive person-- when FL said no the first time he complied. This is because his mother was SA'd, he was the result, and she eventually ended herself (saying she hated him). He as a 7-year-old found her dead in the bathtub with her wrists slit after the servants refused her order to kill him. He understands she suffered from mental issues and thinks of her fondly. It is probably part of the reason why he stopped the original Elze from ending herself and took her in/defended her from her family despite not caring about her.

I appreciate that he's not a really flat and stoic person. I am kind of guessing that if this is not a true harem-- he will be ML. He also has a funny aide Liam, who is kind of like his nanny. Don't get me wrong, he's a bad person. But he's a bad person you can still root for.

The Count

Spoiler

Benedict. Brown-haired, violet eyes. The information network master, a businessman. His information guild is disguised as a pie shop. He first gets connected to FL when she approaches him to tell him valuable information from the story. She earns his trust and she makes a deal with him to accumulate her slush fund (she does not tell him what she is planning and always tells him about women and mystery to block questions).

He is becoming attracted too, and does help her out at times from the shadows but he is rational and believes it's not his place to publicly defend her from people insulting her.

[collapse]

I also just appreciate that FL is not particularly shy/meek. She maintains an intimate relationship with her lover and has no trouble sleeping with him. For context about her feelings to them,
Spoiler

she thinks Lucian is very pretty, she has a strange sense of love (she thinks is from the original Elze) that makes it difficult for her to brush off Dante, and she thinks of Benedict as useful/reliable.

[collapse]
She hasn't really noticed it but she is less scared of Dante as he begins to show vulnerability and she's figured out somewhat how to handle him. <<less

This novel is a cliche. But i’m not complaining, I enjoy cliches :D

One thing is lingering on my mind while reading this about the FL. She’s ignorant. As I keep reading, I was disappointed with how the FL keep denying her feelings. She ignored the feelings of everyone around her, even her own feelings. Definitely not my fav kinda FL. But, about the ML, I recommend that you read until the very end first before giving any judgement. I end up loving his character actually.

And the ending was unexpected, and... more>> it was in a good way. Despite the long arc of her ignorant and runaway days that almost made me frustrated with her, I think I still enjoyed this novel. Grateful for the author and the translation teams for doing this novel until the very end. Thank you~ <<less
