Rated it super low because I finally couldn't take it anymore and it does not live up to the 4.2 rating it has at the moment.

The couple could've been amazing in a different setting, perhaps. I don't know, it's hard to tell.

I really tried to finish this. But. Every time I paused for breaks or something else called for my attention IRL.. I just never felt the want to pick it up again. Rinse and repeat this like more than 10 legitimate times.

And today I'm finally rating it so I... more>> can have it out of my sight now.

I just can't. The idea of the whole premise was nice, the intro was kinda meh– basically the whole story is just.. Meh.

The pacing felt like a crawl, and the MC simply does not make use of his mind control ability. You could argue it's because of his being a plain person and I'd agree– except you simply don't get to such a high position without life throwing you sh;t the whole time and gaining some personality. Trust me– I've read plain characters before but this was slowly maddening to read.

The ML is somewhat better. But idk man the plot is so painfully slow and boring that I couldn't take it anymore goodbye.

Edit: I tried reading some spoilers but.., I simply can't be bothered. Noticed a lot of fellow ship jumpers didn't actually vote– just vote irregardless if you finished it or not, y'all. <<less

Maybe it’s because I wasn’t paying attention, but I lost interest pretty quickly. The main premise of the novel is interesting, but with an MC that’s long been avoidant of the mind reading ability, it douses it’s potential a lot and makes it rather negligible. I do think that the romance is cute. It’s socially awkward and adorkable gong and aloof and reserved shou — a unique matchup! But the development was a bit ehhhh. I dunno! I’ll come back and try to reread it again another time to see... more>> if it will better suit my taste. <<less

Charity 5 stars, mainly because 4.3 is too low for this.

Personally, I want to give it a 3 though mainly because I feel disappointed with the author's writing. This was clearly an action novel but where was the action???? Why was the war literally narrated with chunks of text????

And so, it's disappointing in that aspect.

As a romance though, it was completely fine. I like how proactive the MC was and how the ML eventually warmed up and learned to talk little by little. I did think it was a bit... more>> draggy at parts.

But the author did say this is their first time writing this way, so I can understand.

I liked the AA couple the most but it's sad that the main story was BE for them. <<less

Somebody hold me back. I need 100 more chapters of the parallel universe or of snippets of the main couple in the original universe. Arrrghh... breaks my heart so much seeing how happy they could have been in the parallel universe and all the angst and pain they experienced in the real world. The Lu x Meng couple is actually so adorable too...I wonder if they were actually in a relationship in the original universe or if it was still just a Meng one-sided crush... the pain. The MC mom... more>> and dad love story is also so cute. I'm dying from all the couples here. Loved all the romance so much. The plot leaves some to be desired but it's fine. Stay for the kuudere? tsundere? ML and his absolutely adorable mental thoughts under the cold exterior. Love MC and ML so much. <<less

A heartfelt story of a romance that gradually blooms amidst a background of interstellar intrigue, Zerg battles, and underground genetic experiments. Although there are exciting elements in this story, it is not fast-paced — the author took the time to allow the couple to understand their own feelings and fall in love.

The MC Lin Han is a weak-bodied but strong-willed Omega mecha master who has the ability to read the minds of those whom he comes into physical contact. The ML He YunTing is a socially awkward but highly respected... more>> military general who later turns out to be incredibly thoughtful and romantic in his own way. In the beginning, their interactions are SO awkward (!) and yet so cute too. These two introverts slowly fumble towards each other as they uncover the mysteries behind the occurrence of strange events.

This is a fantastic story to sink into when you’re in the mood for a slow-burn romance of a super sweet and super loving couple. Highly recommend it when you're in the mood for something more leisurely in pace. <<less

Despite the fact that this novel had politics and schemes, I still chose to rate it a 5 stars.

As the author assured, it's a sweet one. The romance might have developed slowly and really took it's time, but it was worth it. Their sweet interactions just give me the depth of their relationship.

The beginning of their story is also sweet and to die for. The fact that the ML is not a domineering and cold person, but instead an introvert is chef's kiss. There's finally an ML representation for introverts!... more>> They're a perfect pair for me as the MC will unravel all the ML's thoughts that he can't verbalize.

Thr second couple, I wasn't expecting it but I saw signs. Their love is beautiful but I don't really want to delve too much as I'll get emotional.

For the first half, it really has lots of schemes but it gradually died down at the latter half. In which I'm happy for as I disliked politics schemes.

The characters are quite extensive but not boring. They all have their own role in the novel. I quite like Grr and his friends, ThudThud. They're such a cute creatures.

What I actually didn't expect was the MC's background. It's shocking and it hid a story about the past generation. Overall, this is a recommended novel if you're looking for a solid romance. <<less

It's not perfect, but the artistry and imagery was so beautiful. It earned five stars from me because of the writing. I know the slow pace is not everyone's cup of tea, but it is really one of my favorites.

I feel that the story is well written and the characters are likable. I specially adore ML, he's so awkward but very selfless and respectful of his beloved. I enjoyed the military/war aspects very much. I prefer my BL to be balanced and not only focus on romance but also on story and world building. What I disliked is the existence of some of the extras which felt unnecessary ("what if /other world" type) . I feel that it's like rubbing salt on the wound and can't really accept it... more>> to the point that I skipped it. But I enjoyed the main story and really recommend it. <<less

The tone's very similar to VODVC, with hot-blooded action parts when the author really got into it and looooong stint of mystery solving but the portrayal of the military was more inaccurate (a General's adjutant who dared to guess and translate his superior's meaning like Mr. Lu would've long been replaced already lol). The schemes were weaker, too, what with MC's ability and secret identity so they can brute-force through the problems.

I also felt weird about the way the author wrote long flowery, melancholic exposition throughout the story, it seemed... more>> inappropriate for something with military theme. Add in patriotic propaganda and the scene got eerily similar to the nationalism propaganda of a certain country.

Aside from that, the couple's very awkward, too. The way they got along was unnatural but it got better as their trust and relationship progressed. Actually I shipped MC more with Lt. Col. Lu, since their personalities seemed to mesh better together. But it's apparent that most CN space opera MC were either paired with a general or spec-op officer.. Oh, and don't forget the secret identity 😂 it's too formulaic, to be honest. <<less

Honestly, I am impatient af and have the attention span of a goldfish so reading this was kinda frustrating. The novel is of the slow burning kind, be it in terms of romance or plot development.

While it was pretty obvious that the main leads were into each other early on because of their personalities they never acted on their feelings until like the middle of the novel. Both of them are socially awkward, repressed af and don't like to f***ing open their mouth to communicate properly, a great combination... more>> if you want to frustrate readers with ADHD. But they did improve in the communication department later on so that's good, I guess.

So why did I still give such a high rating despite my need to skim the whole story due to frustration and impatience? That's mainly because there isn't really anything wrong with the novel itself in terms of quality of the writing. The plot is decent and relatively original within its cliche setting.

Reading this novel is like watching a kettle on the stove on low heat. You know something is simmering and you know something will happen (i.e. Kettle whistling or water boiling over), but the waiting time feels unexpectedly long and cumbersome. If you are into that, this novel might be just the right one for you. <<less

. It's a pretty good novel, especially if you're looking for light angst. Remember, it is slow burn but the chapters itself aren't that long. If you like the description, I would say go for it.

I just couldn't get into the novel after 11 chapters in. The premise seemed interesting, and I was expecting some funny bits from just the summary but the story was so hard to sink into. The MC has no interest in anything besides mechas, and the ML also seems to have no interest besides his job and his personal mecha. They both seem to be the quiet, non-social type. I guess MCs ability to read minds is the plot device to help them communicate but even then they... more>> seem to be struggling. They can't even communicate well to their coworkers... I just found the story very tiring to keep reading. Dropped <<less

This is actually quite a beautiful story - whether by the author or translator it had a really profound lyricism to it.

But I’m with earlier commenters who had trouble finishing. Don’t get me wrong: the story is great! (And I’ll probably come back to this after a break). But the MC’s anxiety made me super anxious. Chapters were focused on one thing... that just went on for more chapters, giving me a sense of the MC going over and over things in their head in a never ending loop. Sometimes,... more>> this felt like an extended emotional scene stretched to the point that it started to stress me out.

A lot of this surrounded the MC/ML past and the memories stored in the meteorite. I was really excited by the ‘older love interest’ tag. But then it was like: surprise! We have always been together! I don’t know why you have to have a relationship with someone in the past/youth to validate a current relationship. It’s really ok to get involved with someone later in life with no past.

That’s probably a result of the lyrical quality of the text. (Or making chapters - I’ve been there!)

Doing the serious stuff in shorthand didn’t bother me (I really don’t like angst), but I would have read thousands of chapters of the MC/ML just traveling around the universe. The Borderlands section was amazing and the world building was deep and very interesting.

So, I would give this a try. <<less

I came across this story by chance when somebody mentioned it on Twitter. I noticed that the translation was complete so I thought it would be a good opportunity to binge a story and hopefully it would be good. I love omegaverse stories so I figured I’d read a few chapters and if it was any good I’d binge read it in a few days.

I’m really happy that I took that chance. I really liked this story. It was really good plus I like the fact that even though it... more>> was set an a omegaverse the focus of the story wasn’t on s*x, toxic relationships, or power dynamics.

This story is good although there are some aspects of it that could have used a little polishing but overall I would even consider re-reading it.

At the end of the story I was happy with how everything wrapped up for our main couple. I wish that more details would have been given about the side couple (Lu AnHe & Ji Meng). <<less

This is my favorite story, AAAA

It has all my favorite genre ABO, Interstellar, Fantasy and MECHA. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH, gotta re-read it again!

Thank you for translator and team, for amazing translation, it's a beautiful and heartwarming story to read😭

I'm gonna miss Lin Han and He YunTing, they are so cute and sweet. I'm hoping to see their child but it's okay I'm very happy with the ending. Author did a very good job for this novel, waiting for another ABO Interstellar setting story in the future😆

So romantic! This is the beauty of falling in love. 😍 It's a BL novel filled with romance, mecha, interstellar, ABO and ohhh conspiracies.

I love the ML. He's absolutely cute in so many ways and there's something about him that just makes you want to dote on him. He's a cold general, according to the populace, but we get to see the cuter side of the general. He's someone that I can shout "Best Boi" to.

The MC is remarkable. He's weak but he's determined. In the relationship, he's the one... more>> who takes the initiative and it's just amazing how the MC and ML's dynamic works. I also love the mind-reading ability because the ML's inner thoughts are just too funny. Although this ability wasn't used much except on the later chapters.

I didn't get to finish the work as of this review because I was having server problems. I'll update this review after I complete it.

I personally liked this story a lot, if you, like me, are doubting if you should read it, bc of the reviews, maybe give it a try. Yes, some parts of the story might be rushed, but it's interesting, and the ending wasn't obvious for me. Also Lin Han is a rare case of a very proactive O, and He Yunting is such a green flag, despite his thoughts.

Also, I'm pretty sure that Lu An He and Ji Meng's story in extras happened in an AU, bc I believe that Ji Meng in the original story left for the border to forget Lu AnHe, bc they didn't confess their feelings to eachother, so he won't go to the border if they got together. And he probably won't have Ой, цветёт калина as his ringtone anymore, bc it's a song about a girl who loves a guy but can't confess to him, and it's not relevant to Ji Meng who already confessed to Lu AnHe too

The ML is not a pe*vert, despite the misleading summary above lol

This is mostly a love story between a mecha mechanic and a military general. S3 Omega <> S3 Alpha pairing.

Both MC and ML are very, very introverted people. Most of the story is inner dialogue, basically the MC thinking about and wondering about how others perceive him and what they’re thinking (cuz he can read minds when there’s physical contact). This is NOT an action story, and not an action-oriented story. Very introspective.

Given their personalities, I’m actually surprised at... more>> how natural and seamless their romance is progressing. I’m at chapter 38 and they’re already hugging.

The ML is very sincere towards MC. He’s a super novice when it comes to emotions (MC is too) so it takes a while for him to ask the right questions and take steps forward. But that is not to say there is no progression at all. It’s just tiny steps, from both of them. It’s all very sweet because they’re so sincere towards each other.

If you’re looking for a plot driven, political infighting or mech fight scenes, this is not a story for you. You would most likely find it “boring” because those things are not the focus of this story.
