This is especially obvious when it comes to the Zerg, they have been portrait as extremely dangerous, killing millions of people and regularly lead to large-scale wars and mass-deaths even with the help of the royal family.

Then suddenly they are minor annoyances that can be easily cleared up by the royals alone, while they are an immense problem for a technologically highly developed civilisation fighting them with Mecha, but the royals kill them for sports just armed with swords.

It invalidates the start of the novel and the tragedies that were presented to us, making it not only pointless but like a joke at the expenses of the readers who put their emotions into it.

Human experimentations, family mu*der, death and suffering, brutal wars against Zerg, spies and hidden organisations, highly militarised universe were basically everyone is a (reserve) soldier, even children have to train, and the royal family enters the battlefield when they are barely teens, no cringe face-slapping.

After chapter 200:

Silly games, 16+ years old MC is treated like a toddler despite being the royal hire, people joke around on the battlefield, royal family is so OP that they smash highly developed Mecha, Zerg are suddenly playthings instead of deadly monsters, the family becomes famous in the star network and is treated like idols, constant cringe face-slapping of countries and netizens - always in the same way. "They are so weak, lol" - family is OP - "oh wow, they are strong! Who would have thought?!"

In his first confrontation (the one with the pirates), he uses his psychic abilities to 'shoot' one of the soldiers. And according to his previously timid and cowardly personality, he wouldn't be able to do this without flinching or even reflecting on himself for literally murking someone after he was in a 'safe' space.

It could be argued that the activation of his psychic abilities rendered him incapable of remembering his actions after the activation has passed. However, the story didn't explicitly state that. The only thing the story emphasized was that his powers had dulled his emotions, not removed his consciousness.

It could also be argued that it's a bloodline trait that has been activated whenever he taps into his psychic abilities, but it's just too convenient of a reason.

And just a side note to rant since I don't care to read any more of the plot and thus will never figure this out:

Are all the characters absolutely brain dead? Father Ye knew a long time ago—probably since he picked Ye Muo up—that he was Emperor Dad's kid. Doesn't he know that he's putting his entire family in danger? Doesn't he know that concealing this information is considered treason?

What benefit do you receive by keeping the child hidden? Especially from a man who nearly exterminated his entire family? Do you want to rebel and push this puppet prince on the throne? Even if you don't, that's exactly how a tyrant would view your actions.

And don't get me started on the Ye brothers. When they decided to break Ye Muo out of the arena, they must be aware that they were also committing treason by harboring a fugitive. If it weren't for the fact that Ye Muo told Ye Yun to turn back, it would have been the end for the Ye family. Even the ones that retreated from the capital star.

And, once again, a random act of bravery from our MC for his decision to return. His reason to wanting to see the Ye couple and Ye He one last time... I don't believe it. He didn't seem to have much attachment to the Ye family that would drive him to want to face life and death with them. He expressed his appreciation for them, but I really can't justify it being enough.

...sigh. All my reviews turn into annoyed rants. Maybe I should just chill probably won't.

I even shred some tears of sadness when the death of the former emperor was seen and explained and tears of happiness when MC was able to save his grandma unknowingly

the royal fam has great pyschical n mental power but will eventually succumb to madness. Real dad has off-ed his fam due to that. So to prevent MC from the same fate, real dad thought might as well do it before MC starts being hurt more cus the process of going mad is extremely hurtful. Also, real dad is not in the right mind cus imagine offing your whole fam

Ado's like "What!? Why would a grant cry when he's brought back to his mother we seperated him from and told we are gonna exicute! How weird! o: I certainly never cryied when I was a kid! Sure, I went into a depression spiral when MY mom was killed but thats a tottally different thing. we only threatened to mu*der this child's parents! She isn't even his real mom!

It really showed the disconnet between how the Emperor "allows him to keep his old name" but also wants to give him a name HE picked out cuz the MC belongs to the Emperor.

the MC litterally BEGs the Emperor to keep his name, and even tells the Emperor he want's to die as "Ye Mou" and doesn't care if the Emperor kills him now. And the Emperor goes Oh yeah, I DID tell him I'd kill him. Now I feel bad. "Ok I promise I won't kill you, and you can keep your name. BUT I wanna name you anyway. Cuz your "my child." uh, I got 'My treasure'. That's your other name now"
