Elliot Seymour Gladstone, the Count of the Gladstone family. A prestigious nobleman who was not to be trifled with, and a man rumoured for his strong disdain for both men and omegas.

Louis, who was making a living as a street shoe polisher, was almost mol*sted by the owner of a tailor shop one day. However, he was saved by Elliot, who appeared by chance through the curtains.

Fear welled up within him as he gazed at Elliot, but at the same time, Louis’s heart raced.

In a twist of fate, Louis was forced into a situation where he had to disguise himself as a maid in the Count’s household in order to find clues to a treasure hidden within the Count’s estate…..

This was an insane fun read and I'm not ashamed to admit I like omegas in maid uniforms.

I love the author's writing style and how they wrote this novel to be so fun that I stayed up until 5 am for two days straight just so I could finish it.

Keep in mind that you can find heavy topics such as r*pe and trauma that aren't dealt with properly in a LIGHT-HEARTED novel. They are for light-hearted reading and made for readers to have FUN and not dwell on depressing matters.

summary

Louis, an orphan who was saved by Elliot from being mol*sted was threatened by his orphanage director (?) to find the secret treasure in Elliot's mansion. The novel wasn't about finding the treasure as its MAIN plot but Louis working as a maid. It follows more of a slice of life and I love it.

Warning for lack of consent during Elliot's rut, Elliot had no one to accompany him during his rut and was forced into insane torture every time Louis went to see him, trying to save Louis from himself before he became insane, he turned Louis away only for him, who can't control his mind and actions like a drunken to go and find Louis.

This may trigger people but if Louis, the one who experienced it, doesn't mind it so then please, don't make it your main criticism of the novel. Yes, you can criticize it but don't make it your MAIN criticism as the novel only had ONE non-consent s*x, WHICH LOUIS DOES NOT MIND FULLY.

I hated to see the fact that Louis was beaten up and the during last chapters, when Louis ran away, he got beat up and almost get rped and I DID NOT LIKE IT.

It is really great and the translation work is also good. I am reading this from yesterday like crazy. But I know kinda feel depressed. Because I can't log in nor can donate to get more chapters.

let's first move to the good points

    • the story is in like era were industries were just becomeing the main. Like in 1900s
    • I like the fact that their is a background story for the main characters. I am a light hearted reader and mist of the time I read fluff. Even thiugh its not that angsty still it make my heart heavy but the feeling is good. I think I am a masochist.
    • I like it that their is no bullying betweenthe maids in the count manor. If your worried about this fact then you dont have to. If you want bully you can get it from the orphanage director or MC bullying himself.
    • I like how ML cherecter and behavior chage by time. From being cold ---> indifferent----> notice (sigh) ---> care a little (some what fluff) ----------------------> to being a tease for our MC.------> you have to read it your self to find out.
Now the things which make me think or sighed in

    • Firstly I didnt like the bottoms attitude. I feel bad for him but thats just that. Till where I have read he didnt told his sufferings to the count because he think that it is not good for a nobel like count to medel in his own personal.
    • MC is kinda s*upid.
    • MC char3cter need improvement.
    • MC thinking is like a pre puberty teen.
    • I kinda feel bad for MC situation but he is kinda lucky that he didn't needed to sell. his body unlike some other who do this work from 15 or younger there.
    • I am still curious about MC back ground and how he can suppress his pheromones soo goodly to act as a beta.
about ml->

    • i don't like how he was indifferent and steped on most of the things nc cherish and want to guve to him even if it was just a mistake.
    • I purely started reading this book because of smut as it looks more fluffy unlike most kn smut. but I dont like it that till 6.4 chapter there is no smut. Now I feel soooo deranged and betrayed.
    • If your reading it purely for smut then *[]* here is the door for yoy if your as broke as me.
    • I regret reading after just waking up from sleep as now my eyes are hurting from unknown stress whicu I dont know if it is coming from the test which I have to take after some day or the 2 assignment due on monday.
    • The ML has its own back story which is... ammm decent. But for me forme. I dont likr back stories I have write back story in things I liked but its only of the MC.i like it when the back story is mesireble.
this is my own opinion.

Overall the novel was fantastic. I spaceficly liked the cover of the novel so much that I am day dreaming. It was fun imagining them and it full of fluff with stress.

It was bitter sweet and I wish to read more.

I'm not going to rate the story because I'm not finished but I will say that CHILDISH PROTAGONIST should be emphasized twice along with NAIVE. This is probably a DNF for me.

He just feels like the kind of character that will eventually find out the person he was trying to protect either died or was sold to the Back Alleys ages ago but he was too self-involved to notice but is SO SAD about it afterwards.

Besides the obvious running away while pregnant arc and getting involved with someone who is... more>> obviously interested in him but he's just Oh So "Innocent" that he doesn't even notice and walks right into situations that make the ML jealous. <<less

Please note that this review is only a provisional review because I haven't even finished reading chapter 1 yet.

I'm not a pro, ofc, and most of my reviews are complaints from the stories I read actually😂

So here's my thought,

I don't know what's goin on on MC's head. -there's a review that said he's dumb and I agree with this- I mean, from his first encounter with ML, for me personally, I ain't gonna do what MC did (returning the coat that ML gave him at the first meeting) because... more>> based on the first impression of the meeting & everything that happen in that tailor shop, I mean what kind of dull sense that made someone didn't get what kind of "vibe" ML gives. Yeah yeah I know he's good cause he saved you -whether intentionally or unintentionally- and gave u his coat, blablabla duh bro.. That's nonsense🥴

And, I'm actually not quite enjoy this kind of story when at the beginning of the chapter the things shown really make you curious, but it turns out that in the next chapter it goes back to the past (to the root of the problem before everything happened).

But yeah I can't deny that my imagination run wild imagining MC's every movements in that maid dress🔥🔥 <<less
