I reincarnated as the wife of the cursed Archduke in my own twisted novel.

As the author, I have a responsibility to fix this novel.

I have lifted the curse, which is the main problem of this story.

I thought my job was done. But when I was trying to go back, the Archduke asked me, “Did you really think I wouldn’t know that you’re planning on returning to your fiance?”

So the basic premise of the story is FL is a novelist who wakes up in one of her old works and decides to change the ending for she felt bad for the characters. The story pace is slow and since FL is the novelist she already knows who everyone is and is informed about what is going on so she doesn't need to investigate anything, so the story focuses on how the FL is building her relationships with the characters around her.

She wakes up one day in the body of Riddle Spencer an unfortunate side character of one of her earlier novels. ((The misfortune being she had a terrible childhood as the illegitimate daughter, is forced to break her engagement with her fiancé Doman Woodhill and marry the terrifying Archduke for her stepsister. When the Archduke ends their marriage she returns to Doman and she learns he had cheated and left her in dept.)) Riddle has no memory of dying so she believes there is a way for her to return home and decides to give Riddle a better ending by setting her up with the Archduke.

Pros:
 Very pragmatic, quick thinking and is using what she knows to her advantage. Also since this is one of her earlier books she sometimes criticizes why the younger her wrote certain things and it makes me laugh for I get that feeling of visiting old work too.

Her Faults

I'm Not Riddle: I don't blame her but since she has no memory of dying and just woke up as Riddle so she feels like she is possessing her body. So while she is doing all this work to change things around her she feels a bit distant for she is ready to part with them.

All-Knowing: A given since she wrote the book, but people are turned off by the fact she doesn't have to work that hard to find the right ppl or investigae anything since these were things she already knew as the author.


Holy Power: They say it is humble but I still find it very convenient that this side character happens to have powers that were never used in the org novel.

Kyle the Archduke of Romani, Male Lead

Pros

The bad attitude isn't his fault. Kyle killed a dragon who in turn cursed Kyle. The nature of his curse is that he will be consumed by a dragon's heart, making him indifferent to people, physically incapable of touching ppl since he is literally too cold to touch and bloodthirsty. (Also he will die once the rose dies and it is so Beauty and the Beast) So Kyle is doing his best to not kill everybody around him but somebody needs to break the curse for him.

It's hard for me to really write his faults for he is cursed so there is this line between what's one him and what's his affliction. He does kill. But the people we have seen him kill so far are just ppl rebelling in his territory thinking the curse has made him weak (A huge a mistake on their part for it has only made him crueler to his enemies)

Poor Communication Kills: Kyle thinks Riddle is still in love with her ex and Riddle has no idea why he gets so mad when Doman is brought up but tries not to talk about him for she knows he's a cheat. Like girl, just tr*sh talk about your ex already!!!

Also, I wanna make two shout outs!

First Jean the butler, he's hilarious and deserves raise for staying with the archduke.

And Marina the books org FL is very sweet. Riddle appointed her as her personal maid for she knew she was a good girl and she is living up to it. (The org Books ML was a knight so Riddle is wondering if she should set them up early or let them meet naturally and I think that's cute) <<less

The ratings for this novel are too high.

I was attracted by the premise. Seemed interesting, and most of wordexcerpts novels are high quality, however, the writing on this one was the level of a middle-schooler.

There was alot of telling not showing that made the story so stiff. And there were plenty of illogical actions throughout the entire thing. And everything happened too fast it just didnt make any sense as a reader I didnt feel immersed at all.

There were part that lacked some desperately needed detail and emphasis and others... more>> with too much unnecessary detail that added nothing to the plot.

I just couldn't handle it. Many are saying that the MC is badass and her retorts were amazing but sometimes they were just eh. It was just a flat character taking jabs at other characters that were told deserved it.

From what I've seen so far, the MC seems like a real bad*ss! She's not like those angry-for-no-real-reason girls or those ones who are so cold blooded, they're annoying. She's pretty sassy and confident. So far, I have a good feeling about her.

The ML doesn't seem like a r*pey douchebag, but I suppose that's to be debated.

I haven't gone far, but a part of me (not all of me, though) would definitely recommend this.

I feel very frustrated... She's still trapped in that illusion that she'll be coming back to her original world. She thinks that the original soul of the MC's body would come back soon if she breaks the curse. Because of these things, she refuses to tell the truth and makes more and more misunderstandings. These types of things make my heart ache more because it's sooooo frustrating to watch. 😭

This novel is rated wayyy too highly in my opinion.

The writing is so flat and to the point, I feel like I'm reading a report of what happened instead of a novel like this might as well be written in bullet points. Sure it's easy to understand but I'm not having any fun reading it. I'm not expecting Shakespeare over here but damn. There's a chance that's the fault of the translator, but I'll assume fault of the author since the translator probably worked really hard to bring this novel... more>> to us.

but good writing is a huge chunk of what makes a boring concept memorable and the concept here is as basic as white bread. Boring writing + basic plot = why the hell am I here anymore?

ML is a cold as*hole who slowly becomes obsessed with the FL who is nice and tries to help him with his curse. He even starts hurting himself on purpose just to get her to tend to his wounds. Basic as basic comes, but you can make even boring premises shine if you just write them well. But this novel doesn't, and why people seem to like it is crazy to me. But we like what we like I guess, and I just don't like this. <<less

people might say I'm biased with this rating and comment but like.. I just really love misunderstandings turn the ML/FL into warped type of people in a story. Lmao. It's hilarious and anticipatingly good idek how to put it in words. Omg.

Okay this story is good and I contradict the negative comments regarding the FL is being plain.

It's still ongoing story for translating so commenting bad regarding this is not good. Not even in half to be judge terribly.

I would rank this 4 star because it's a good story. The translation of the group is fine, not that bad.

The plot of the story is our ML being cursed by the black dragon. Ending up being one of them and soon to die because of that. And the annoying father of our... more>> FL let her married with the curse duke. Which the FL accepted and decided to save our ML because she knows the whole plot of the story. She is the writer of the story, of course.

FL Riddel. Did I get the name right? LOL.

  • She is not plain more of a realist. Because she is the one who write the story, she wants to fix everything.
  • Actually, she is cool.
  • She was honest and has a sense of responsibility.
ML the Archduke.

  • He is like a dragon as explain on the story.
  • His emotion is like a 2D figure. Like he knows the emotion but he doesn't know how to make it. I laugh when he asked the FL regarding of different smile she makes.
  • Actually he is getting attached to the FL while the story progress.
I think the delivery of how the story is written is at fault, I guess. That's why the bad comment said its plain. The shifting of POV makes the delivery of the story bland and boring at some chapters. But if you are passionate enough to enjoy the story, you will have fun reading this.

The plot is well written for me. The group translating this in english are fine gem. Want to thank them enough for the effort. For sure they are confuse also because of how the POV's is going but they did a great job! ~Clap

Anyways really recommend this because this is a good story.

But if you hate confusions and switching of some POV's. This one will not be for you. I'm assuring you will drop reading this because of that. And also for the common plot.

Well I love common plots though and some common plots have good stories. This is one of the example. Okay! Don't mind the negative reviews because I guarantee that this is a good one. I read a lot of terrible one so I assure you this is good. 😘😘😘 <<less

Loved the FL and ML, especially the butler. I have a thing for sharp-tongued and sarcastic characters so I'm going to add this to my favs. There were a lot of funny moments and the ML was pretty cute<3 Too bad it was dropped: (

Actually quite good. The MC is realistic and behaves appropriately, and ML doesn't really fall in love at first sight. The side characters are also promising.

This is such a pleasant read!! The interaction of the couple is really captivating! I love how the MC is honest, straightforward, and smart but not cold. She just know how to stand her ground. It's such a delight to read such a character. The ML is also good, though his character isn't that fleshed out yet compared with the MC. This has that romcom vibe but not cutesy (which I have nothing against of course) and not cliche. Try reading it!

Honestly, I've read way worse. The story isn't too bad and though there is room for improvement, it's a good quick read. I think I really only have 2 things that bother me enough to mention. I don't like that she is so hung up on going back and I don't like that she doesn't outwardly express dislike for her ex. I sincerely hope a decent translator-nim picks up this translation so that those of us who actually enjoy this story may continue to read it.

I've been following this novel and I think it's promising. I am actually waiting for when the curse of the archduke is lifted and how Riddel is going to handle him when he starts obsessing with her as the title implies ? I am sooo looking forward to what happens next. The archduke is currently the ultimate tsun2x and I wonder how much of a change will happen once his curse is lifted. ?

The only negative thing for me is that I find the phase of the story very slow. She explains the plot that she knows and it looks like an interesting story but I didn't understand it very much like for example......

How does she know the way to break the Archduke's curse if in the original story they both die? Maybe it is possible since she was the author but still kinda unconvincing.

The original FL too, she was supposed to be sold in a s*ave market but she's working as a maid in their estate.

I just find it frustrating because nothing much happens so far other than the MC trying to make the ML treat her as a human being. I understand that it is the main story plot but at least, I also want to see a bit of meaningful interactions with the other characters other than Jean, the butler. <<less

I love this novel, sometimes it made me laugh, sometimes it made me cried (so hard). Our MC has interaction with others in the mansion which I love and rarely seen in other transmigrated novel.

It’s actually quite good! Yes, the writing isn’t incredible (it’s a bit simplistic), but the plot, characters, and pretty much everything else are amazing! It’s got wonderful potential and I can’t wait for the story to further develop.

I enjoyed reading the novel. Because the novel has just started therefore there will be a lot of illogical things for now. I hope that as the story progresses this will be cleared up.

I love the interaction of the MC and the ML, especially when the ML started to get worried for our MC. I'm excited for the curse to be lifted up. Too bad the translated chapters is too short but at least, their relationship has been progressing.
