I am intrigued. I don't know why, but the tag "dead protagonist" is just funny. The plot concept is painfully underused and I really wish there were more novels like this. But so far it seems pretty light, sweet, and slightly brainless. Might MLT it though since it seems pretty short.

I don't really like the ML, he was so slow at solving problems, all because he didn't want the MC to know that he could see his 'ghost'. Yeah, I know that he loves the MC very much, but I don't think that it can justified his ways of letting everyone (especially his stinky brother) to keep making problems, like for real, doesn't he an overbearing 'genius president' of the century?? So, why he could be stepped on easily just like that. The plot also became ridicolous in the later chapters, like when the MC became human again the first thing he did was looking for a job and he get accepted just because he was handsome, even though he didn't even have an Id card, LOL.

people who love fluff and "cute" MC will like this quick an easy read. I thought it was an OK way to spend a few hours.

MC and ML get official at ch 59, like only a chapter from end 😑😑 And MC knew that ML can see his ghost form in the extras, like that was I was waiting for. How will the ML explain to MC that he can see him since early on but nahh very anticlimatic I say. Seems like issues are still there til ch58 and bam ch59 they got together and snusnu and all.

The villain is also left behind, was hoping he had a hand on MC's death buttt he was cut-off after all the troubles he was build up to in the end.

To spoil how MC can take human form, if I understand it (only read MTL) is that he has to be the one to take initiative to be intimate with ML. In that way he'll appear in human form and after a while has to be ghost again, so snusnu everyday? (Methinks)

Dropped it halfway through because it's mind-numbingly boring and inconsistent.

It's a „sweet text", means shallow and mostly brainless sugar.

I thought the setting was interesting, and it is, but only for a while.

In short, it got repetitive very quickly.

Despite being tagged with comedy, I didn't come across anything that was funny, and the slightly amusing parts repeated so often that they ended up getting on my nerves.

Characters are flat and all the bad guys are morons, which was to be expected yet still somewhat disappointing because they are the only source of actual entertainment.

Initially I wanted to give it three stars, a sweet text isn't professional or groundbreaking by nature.

It's inconsistencies that made me drop one star.

It got really irritating how often MC wondered why ML doesn't have a woman, isn't interested in ladies, or blindly assumed that ML likes one of the female characters.

He knows ML is/was in love with him, so much that he wanted to kill himself to be with MC, so it makes absolutely no sense for him to think that ML is straight.

It didn't even cross his mind that ML might (only) be interested in men, like loving MC, a man, wasn't a dead giveaway.

There are other things, like ML not sleeping, eating, drinking, or going to the bathroom for a whole week.

Sweet text or not, this is a level of nonsense and inconsistency that shouldn't be reached. <<less

3 chapters and all well translated!

This looks to be a very sweet and fluffy story, my kind of taste! I hope the translator keeps translating it, I've seen some novels that never get translated due to reviews. I'll be camping here faithfully as it updates!

I enjoyed the characters and this story, but it's a pretty light story in terms of plot and world building and background development.

I felt like the author sort of did some hand waving to get the story to work. It's supposed to be a comedy, but I think it's primarily relying on a slightly cute/oblivious MC and dedicated, wealthy ML to keep us interested. It's a trope that doesn't get expanded or innovated on, but it's done relatively well.

The connection between the two is very cliche and feels like a... more>> stereotypical romantic beginning plot device. Unrealistic and filled with plot holes.

But this is a short story after all, and it does entertain. <<less

I dislike how the author keep dragging about the truth at the end just because the author thinks it is not yet explainable. Huh okay, but then, the author just end up making the MC known about it and figure it out on his own and bam, they are together and "bam" everything.... So, whut? And to think its at the end of chapter. The ending is a bit of disappointment tho for me hmm

Pe*vert airhead ghost and CEO with a personality of a plank of wood.

Story’s premise is interesting, we have Jiang Ye (MC) who died recently due to accident and Xie Chen (ML) CEO who never showed up in his life until MC’s unexpected death. Jiang Ye found it possible to leave graveyard only with ML so of course he took this chance. On the other hand, Xie Chen thought he was hallucinating when he started to hear and eventually see MC.

Over all, premise of the story is intriguing: how Jiang Ye... more>> will come to life? Why Xie Chen never appeared before MC until his death? How their love story will unfold? I wasn’t expecting super deep story, I came for light hearted silly novel to pass my time. Unfortunately, it became dull after a while. After thinking what exactly made this novel hard to read... It was communication problem, MC and ML barely talk with each other for most of the story. Of course, it is expected how can ghost communicate with a human and ML didn’t want to spook MC trying to talk with him. However, later when Jiang Ye comes back to being human... they still continue to assume things on their own and this miscommunication lasted uncomfortably long. ML keeps his act of being untalkative cold CEO who couldn’t confess that he can see Jiang Ye till the last chapter of the novel and it was MC who finally used those few braincells of his.

“This was a rare response from Xie Chen, who once again uttered only a single word: “Mm-hmm.””

There is really no communication at all, just some weird awkward scenes of them ‘falling in love/dating’ and Jiang Ye’s wild imagination cause once again Xie Chen never clarifies anything or confesses until last chapter of the novel. There are some hints of their past together, but they are like an oasis in the desert - fleeting. Who gives us those clues? Some random pair of villains who for some weird reason stalk ML to anywhere he goes and ‘worry’ about his love life: they pop up, Jiang Ye comments how he doesn’t like them (as a ghost) and ML just tells them to get out. Also Xie Chen keeps referring to MC as “little guy” and it gets stale real fast, almost feels like he treats Jiang Ye as some little ghost pet chihuahua, endearing until he repeats those words every single sentence (in his head dialogues since as mentioned they barely communicate with each other). Ending was also lackluster, he just comes back to being human with just some make up cover up, continues acting career and gets back his office and assistant, no one questions it that much.

It is what it is, brainless type of novel to pass time with some silly scenes and a lot of descriptions of couple’s beauty/handsomeness since all main character does is sexually harassing cold CEO. Novel would have been much more enjoyable, if it was shorter. Translator and editor did a great job, but I wouldn’t recommend reading this novel if you have something else in your plan to read list. <<less

HERE ME OUT! I don't know why the reviews are low for some people. Frustration? Annoyance? Expectation shatters? This novel is actually entertaining. I have one I read before this, which wasn't even fun to read. It's longer and more of a drag with utter dog blood. Have you met some orphans? They do not develop characters until they met their partner or had friends or adults who guided them to be more humane and mature. MC emphasized he doesn't have one. His assistant was the only person besides him,... more>> and his relationship had already given him an idea of who he was as a person. He sleeps in, he gets scolded by his assistant to be careful of certain people, clueless of what to or how to treat people. On some people's experience of the MC is that he's cold coz they never met him in person. This is why you guys probably felt it was lacking a character build up. But, I see it as normal for a social worker perspective. I dunno men, I kinda heal with this kind of novel. <<less

A novel that utterly drags for 60 chapters despite being a short novel. This is because the MC's IQ changes depending on the situation and somehow misses the very obvious multiple scenes of ML pretending he doesn't see him.

In the beginning it just barely makes sense but as they spend more and more time together, you really have to shut off your brain cuz it DOESN'T make sense. If you've ever played a game or seen a vid of someone trying super hard not to look at something but instead... more>> its super obvious like a kid hiding under the table while their parent pretends not to see, this is basically that for 50 chapters. Zero drama of MC realizing ML could see him all this time and reveal comes

MC's 'love' is built off the never-ending paragraphs of ML's body and how hot and physically fit he is. Seriously. Paragraphs upon paragraphs about his bod and MC touching him. Because yeah, while ML is willing, MC doesn't know that so with the thought of 'we're both men it's fine', he constantly gropes and mol*sts ML, chattering about how hot ML is. And because he's a ghost he thinks he's just getting away with it.

Honestly, if I had liked either MC or ML my review wouldn't be so low but as it is, MC is an idiot and an annoying mix of selfish and occasionally nice. ML is the typical ceo who doesn't know how to speak and half lives in his own head and uses his money and power to 'spoil' his lover because that's his entire persona. MC also keeps calling a character 'little cripple' and that weird ableism was Blegh. <<less
