I was reincarnated as an extra in a world that would soon be destroyed.

I did not know who I was.

With the mentality of only seeking my own way of life, I decided to run away inheriting a mansion as a dowry. So, I took the gardener who tended the flowers in our house and we had the ceremony.

“Liddell, wasn’t it hard today?”

“Liddell, do you want to eat first?”

“It’s the weekend, why not go out together?”

Doing a good job, looking only at me! I thought I could have a happy marriage because I would make money and do my best.

“Why did you marry a man who had no position, no wealth, no power?”

My former fiancé, who broke off the engagement out of the blue, who now shows up and claims me, asked me.

“…Liddell. Is your marriage going well?”

“Absolutely, what could be wrong?”

“Why, after marriage, was your husband different from what I thought he was… Wasn’t he normal?”

Why does my former fiancé ask me this?

Moreover, my husband, whom I only considered docile.

“Hisch, just… What is that?”

He hid his hand behind his back while holding a monster the size of a house and with a tearful expression, he said:

“But, for Liddell…to get hurt, I hate it.”

I married because I wanted to live a normal life, but the identity of my modest husband is the most suspicious.

Interesting, waiting for more chapters. Lindell wanted to live simple, quite life with cute rabbit like husband of her own choice. She don't want passion or romance, in husband she looks dear friend for lifetime.

Author jumping back and forth in first chapter, so pacing a bit rushed. That's big minus, but story still looks very promising.

Very cute story so far, engaging and has good pace, I like the female MC and the ML is so adorable! I will admit I have only read the beginning so far but I will update my review later. Most of all the translator does an AMAZING job, great translation plus little notes explaining terms or phrases which is super helpful!

I really loved female lead and the way she administers her people and territory. Side characters are also great!

But ML... Yeah, nope. At first I found him kinda cute. But honestly, the way he always avoids MC and just cries or doesn't speak is irritating as hell. Let's be honest: had their roles switched and had HE been the female lead instead, everyone would have roasted him already. Because his personality is basically everyone's hated manhwa FL who avoids conversation and keeps secrets and all his grudges inside until it... more>> causes a problem. And whom actual FL has to always soothe or reassure. <<less

I hope the translator hasn't abandoned this one.

It's very very good for a ropan!

The love that slowly grows between the main characters is peak lovey dovey. A deep respectful kind of love.

Not because he's handsome but because he's kind. Not because he's strong but because he makes her spicy food when no one else even knows she likes it.

Not because just she's kind, but because she protects him physically and emotionally. Not just because she's beautiful, but because she commands respect.

Sooooo many green flags with this couple.

I want more!!!! D:

So far this is a tale of two individuals who are struggling to feel connected to the world. A wife who has literally replaced the original body and falls into slice-of-life with the gardener, who is attracted to her for herself, rather than her body's original fiancé. A gentle husband so strong he can annihilate people at will who runs away from home, unable to handle his family's innate fear of him. The couple meets well before the start of the story, in the garden. The book does not start... more>> when the protagonist dies or when she enters the world like many transmigration plots. It begins not long after the couple's flash marriage. I almost added a tag for obsessive love due to just how strong their thoughts of each other have been, but that would not be an accurate depiction of their bond. This couple are each other's anchor in a situation where they are naturally outsiders to other humans. They ground each other in a way that allows each other to reach out and accept this world for both it's cruelty and kindness. The story is honestly a little psychologically dark already only 60 some chapters in due to their unhealthy feelings of isolation. The male lead is usually the more dour of the duo, but even the lighthearted and strong protagonist is experiencing an identity crisis due to her guilt over accepting the familial love she did not get to experience in her original world and replacing the true object of their affections.

I like that this book is bold enough to explore these themes, but the read might not be for everyone. Be prepared for an author who is much better at writing the darkness in people's hearts than romance.

Physical Marital Relations for the innocent kindergarten-esque couple:
It takes a while for the couple to develop. The initial marriage is much closer to dating, despite their cohabitation. They finally consummated the marriage not too many chapters back for me (from ch67 at time of initial review). It was a flashback that led into a fade to black. Their first time was less romantic than expected, but that also served to make the sudden passion amidst a great deal of stress a much more realistic development for the couple. The duo might be full of constant love brain thoughts, but getting down and dirty for them was ultimately a way for them to seek comfort and vent negative emotions together. In my opinion their first time was ultimately not a culmination of their love, but a way of mutually fulfilling their needs. Despite the fade to black, the context portrays a certain underlying desperation to prove that they love and they are loved and that they exist here in this time and place for a reason. This author is very uhhhh grounded like that haha.
<<less

I’ve only read 4 chapters, but I already don’t like it. The translation is a solid 7/10, but the writing in the chapters I’ve read is just all over the place. The story randomly jumps around in both time and topic, and fails to lay down any proper foundational exposition. It almost feels like four or five different teaser trailers haphazardly stitched together. Like, the world is going to end, or is it already ending? What does the end of the world even entail? At some points, she describes it... more>> as being some big war, but then at others she talks about increased monster activity, and only ever glosses over any information that she does give us about any of this. I like the ML, a gardener with a shy personality, but I don’t know why she married him? Like, at first I thought I understood; he’s cute and she has to marry someone anyway, but then she talks about seeing him like a little brother and I’m just confused. Plus, she clearly had plenty of options, given that there are like four possible future secondary MLs: nagging loyal vassal/assistant, friendly swordsman from a vassal family, ex-fiancé who wants her back, and ex-boss she literally describes as looking like the male lead in a romance fantasy novel. We barely even know anything about the ML yet! Sorry for ranting but this got me weirdly riled up. The other reviews have good things to say about later in the story, so I might continue it at some point, but for now: 2 stars. <<less
