I can see why someone would feel uncomfortable with how this starts, or to be exact, her way to start it, however...

May I remind you that her intent at first was just to meet him to see if he was ok? As I remember it, that's why she didn't bring anything but what she considered essential for the trip. She was just impulsive.

Political position-wise, he could have her as a guest until she rested and send her back without repercussions whatsoever.

He had a choice, and decided to take the deal she offered. Daddy daughter-con king only made the visit a must, not what followed.

Of course, we could argue that she used her knowledge of him to direct the conversation, but still, he made his decision, nobody actually forced him.

That's the start of the plot, and sets the tone for the story, I think it's a way to give notice that if one doesn't like it, can just drop it. The title is self-explanatory too. It's masochistic to read something if you know it has things one dislikes, so I don't understand the reviewers that still read it knowing that, unless paid, makes no sense.

Aaaaanyway, the plot is pretty simple and light, thus plot holes or mysteries are non-existent. Although there's a bit of conflict and bad things happening, I wouldn't call it angst, it doesn't fit. Besides, all gets solved promptly.

In terms of characterization, they aren't flat. It's focused mainly on the leads, the extras support when needed.

The FL is cute, innocent, impulsive, but not actually s*upid. I don't know why call her a stalker, all she did was meeting him as they agreed to. He's a knight, it's not like he couldn't sense her clumsy attempts to follow anyway. I don't like people that are insistent, wouldn't date one either. But that doesn't mean I would tr*sh talk without reason, that's why I started my review like this. I'm torn about trying so hard to please the guy, I mean, she had to given his personality and the situation but that's not healthy. That's why what happens close to the end it's good for me, it fixed it up a bit.

As for him, I don't like liars or rude people, be it tsundere or not, I don't like people like that. The relationship with the FL fixed him up quite a bit at least... that said, he did some things that if it was me, I would've been ready to give up, some was too much and honestly uncalled for. She REALLY tried hard.

I can see that the original fl, I mean the empress's attitude when they show the past can be thought as her stringing the ML along, for some. But, to be fair, nothing she did or said was wrong. She was just nice to someone that needed support. Besides, he knew she was taken from the start. In real life people has a tendency to misunderstand kindness. Since when being nice means that there's have to be some sort of interest? Can't a person just be nice? Seriously. Men especially do that A LOT.

The original ML seems nice as a person, but too soft, too lacking as an emperor...i mean, his territory has very bad security and he s**ked at erasing enemies, getting political influence and protecting his empress.

The fl's family is a den of fluffy cuteness. It's a bit of a pity they don't appear much.

The translation I read was fine.

The artwork in almost each chapter is nice, it adds some help to imagination.

Overall it's a light read. As long as one doesn't dislike the personalities too much, it can be enjoyed. I think 4 stars is a fine rating for this, considering that. <<less

This story makes me very uncomfortable.

I can't understand how the idea of an obsessively clingy stalker who would end up with nothing but a restraining order in real life could be applauded and tagged with cute and innocuous sounding adjectives live "sweet" "persistent" "strong-willed" "real" etc. I don't know who conceived this ridiculous notion that if you force someone to accept you clinging to them 24x7 (especially by using your superior social standing that they can't say No to) for long enough, they'll invariably like you too.. Their misery/pain from... more>> the raw heartbreak and the obvious and extreme discomfort definitely don't matter cause everything's gonna be solved with the power of love (and plot🙄) And/OR they're just being dense/a tsundere and will definitely thank you in the long run for your persistence! This is a classic "overbearing CEO/President forcing you into a relationship" plot but in genderbend. It's like this cliched plot suddenly became novel once the harasser is dressed up as a cute young girl who knows how to make desserts.

What angst?? I can only see a delusional girl being slapped back to reality by facts. But of course by then the ML's already ensnared and softened by power of love~ And then there's a happy ending at the end of it all summoned forth and sustained by the power of plot ✨

Not my cup of tea, won't recommend it, but you can give it a try if it's your thing.

P.S: someone mentioned it's similar to readers supporting second ML but if the 2nd ML cling, stalk and force an engagement with FL using his higher political standing, I'll bash him too. <<less

This is a very excellent read. One of the Korean romance drama that doesn't have a ridiculous plot storyline and troublesome family drama plus original characters being antagonist.

The drama mainly focused on the development between the MC and ML as they both seemed to be struggling with love.

I would like to put this out that these characters don't fall in love easily, in fact they have this nice process during the story where they slowly grow.

It has this bitter sweet feeling. And the MC while she is a very sweet... more>> and kind but she has a humane moment where she struggles and personally I felt like giving her support because of that.

Like I said the drama is surprisingly not crazy perhaps that's pretty much almost what I encounter when I browse the internet. Which is nice.

I hope you guys don't get frustrated with the ML though he has this moments where he can be pretty oblivious.

Idiotic superficial love, Female Lead is someone who can't mind her own business, there is a lot of angst but she brought it all on herself. Periodt.

Ofcourse a happy ending. Not my cup of tea, but you can give it a try.

Pretty good novel. A bit masochistic, but not as masochistic as My fiance is in love with my little sister (super tragic).

Cried a bit at the part where the ML saved the OG FL first instead of the FL. I know that it’s because he saw her first but that probably must’ve hurt the FL so much.

FL is in love with this guy who is in denial and is gutless. I pity the FL... I’m at the part where she leaves the Duke’s place and he doesn’t stop her because he thinks she deserves better than him (which is true haha). Novel isn’t finished yet, I think. I hope it takes on another direction and she doesn’t end up with the Duke. I hope she moves on and falls in love with another guy who will treasure her. <<less

Ok so I haven’t read all of it (only the spoilers) but I don’t get those who are bashing the FL for pursuing the ml. Y’all like 2nd MLs in other stories but as soon as it is a girl chasing a guy- (who’s not tied to anyone btw, , unlike in other stories where the 2nd mls always go after the FL even though the FL already likes someone) -you guys are quick to get angry at her.

This is the first time super that I feel super uncomfortable about the story.... I have many reasons why this makes me uncomfortable but I can't translate it in english because not my native language (I can understand English and I might give this a decent review but not to day folks! I have something to do anyway) something about MC makes me feel super weird, awkward, uncomfortable

If you don't like novels where the MC chases after their love interest and slowly softens them, then this isn't for you. However, if you love a (mentally) resilient MC who is willing to go against everything/everyone in an effort to give herself and the love of her life the happy ending they deserve then thus is for you. Yes at times the second-hand embarrassment might make you scream and storm around in anger but I feel like that's to be expected in a book like this.
