Jiang Enmian has been in the entertainment industry for three years, but he’s still a nobody. No resources, no connections – just a passion for acting and a dream slowly fading away. With his contract ending and bills piling up, he’s ready to call it quits.

But just before he leaves, he’s offered one last job: join a male dating reality show as an NPC.

His role? Stir the pot. Fan the flames. Play matchmaker between seven dangerously attractive, high-profile male guests.

Sounds easy, right?

Except-

Each of them is secretly only interested in him.

From the billionaire CEO to the aloof actor, from the teasing eSports king to the brooding professor… their love isn’t for the other guests – it’s all directed at him.

Jiang Enmian: “Wait, I’m just here for the paycheck!”

Everyone else: “You’re mine.”

This is a fun read. I honestly enjoyed this.

If you're like me who don't want to read those heavy plot, required a lot of thinking type of novel, then I recommend u guys to read this.

This novel is a light read and for those who just enjoy mls fighting over MC 😂

Now,

Spoiler

This novel is more to a cliché type of stories but honestly I'm not mad at it. U got Ur typical angel MC who went into a dating show as a "fake" contestant but end up attracting all other contestants. It was fun to read how the other contestants fight each other. The MC was dense, "nobody would actually like me" type of person. It's a really really cliché type of stories but idk why it's just fun to read it especially u already know the cliché and know what's gonna happen.

Spoiler

The tag said slow romance cuz you know, gotta milk the harem part of the story (aka the contestants fighting for MC's attention) but no worries it still fun to read their attempts at flirting. It's a comedy after all.

Spoiler

There are 8 contestants (including MC), if you are the type that always forget who is who, at chapter 5 MC listed all the contestants' info, I recommend you guys to screenshot it. Happy reading guys.

Also, love you translator. I hope you will always get a good rest and a good day for translating this novel🩷 Nowadays many translators like to translate a heavy plotted stories which is good for those who like em but mann I like this type of silly stories, most of the ones I'm currently reading got dropped or need time to marinate 😩 <<less

It's been a while since I've read a BL harem with a 1v1 ending—usu I avoid them bc I feel bad for the other candidates. Each of them is really good to be ML in a story- with distinct personalities, strengths, and emotional vulnerabilities that make them compelling and likeable. The shura field is mild; it's more like a bunch of peacocks cramming to impress the MC as the shows end. The story is good and has plenty of funny moments too.

The story also explained the MC's past—his childhood and... more>> why he wasn't well-known. The MC is kinda Mary Sue, but not a green tea. He's emotionally strong, and doesn't take advantage of anyone. Despite having no good roles for 3 yrs, he stays optimistic and uses his time as an extra to hone his skills (felt bad since age matters in acting, and he knew it too).

I also appreciated that the candidate male leads didn't fall for him right away. They were drawn to his appearance and kindness, but their feelings developed gradually as they spent more time with him. As the plot unfolds, we learn about each candidate's past (didn't expect someone there to be a prince) and emotional baggage. The MC helps them face these issues, which deepens their bond and feelings for him.

Satisfied bc the one I rooted for ended up being the chosen one. While others were still figuring their feelings, the ML consistently supported the MC both openly and behind the scenes. His quiet thoughtfulness and dedication made him truly stand out. The main story ended at c85 (dating show).

Minor downside: The MC's tragic past was barely touched on—only briefly mentioned. Story is a bit cliché. ML is predictable midway of the novel
Spoiler

At c84, his past with the ML in orphanage is explained, but the past before 5y/o is not. And from the 1 sentence description fr his psych counseling w/ Dr. Liu, it seems a car accident, that's why he's afraid with blood. If his original parents died, they should've at least left something for their child, like their house, insurance etc

And upon checking the jinjiang lit chapter titles, there's no summary info about that tragic MC's past on c93 onwards. Will probably continue after some time. Since my attention span is short, I easily lose interest to novels.
