One of the best executions of realistic polygamy in the modern day. This alone, in a world of mindless harem FLs that don’t seem to care about the other women, is what made me put this novel at the top. In a monogamous modern China, MC juggles multiples GFs. He is a s*umbag who is cheating. He acknowledges that he is cheating. His GFs will not accept sharing him. Ensue a novel where he tries to make a harem work in the modern day and has a believable and realistic... more>> end. Coupled with good comedy, one of my fav reads. Some nationalism later on. While his girlfriends do react like normal people, admittedly they may be too submissive for some peoples tastes. <<less

I can recommend the manhwa, even if the translations are a bit spotty.

It's a regressor novel where the MC is sent back to his college days in the early 2000s. Having been a successful business man, he wants all of his wealth and prestige back, but this time he doesn't want to be a lonely bachelor- but scheme himself a harem.

No easy stock market trades or quick cash schemes, or generic "power up" crap. He's not sleeping with every woman whose hot and looks his way. I don't actually think... more>> I've seen him do anything more than kiss so far.

What I do like is that, his two timing is exposed fairly early on and expectedly they break up. So he becomes even more sneaky and scheming- roping in his friends, etc. It's even funnier when his mother and business partners know about his intentions and give him crap- yet are understanding cuz both girls are just that great.

It's a fairly realistic take, but the main romance options are pretty submissive, and that can turn readers off. One of the girls is from a mountain village who doesn't know much about socializing or city life, so the MC pretty much has her dancing on a string. The other girl is his childhood friend who he couldn't pursue because he wanted to chase his dreams of being wealthy.

The other issue is that might upset readers is that the MC is not a good person. He's deceitful, selfish, manipulative and controlling, but he does take care of his people and friends. Some of the side plotlines where he helps his friend learn to handle women are actually interesting.

I give it a 8/10. It's an above average villain type romance drama. <<less

Score 4/10

The problem with this novel is the MC, he's not very likable, interesting, or smart. He's like those second tier villains on other novels.

The business part of the novel is barely passable, the pace is a little bit slow but all in all is not unreadable.

... more>> There's not much slice of life, and the few bits that you can find are not very good, mainly because of the MC attitude.

The romance is just bad. Like something written by chatgpt bad, or someone who doesn't understand human interactions.

Basically the idea of romance that the MC has is bullying the woman you like. He would often hit her, tell her that she's really s*upid, and harass her until she cries and then "his heart soften" and finally stop bullying her. Most of the time the description of the woman during the interactions they had would be that "she's afraid".

So this novel, basically is like reading about domestic violence with a touch of business. There's a harem, and it seems that ot would be a drama harem, where there are a lot of problems when the women find out, the author is strongly setting the drama up. I don't particularly like that kind of plot, but I know that there are people who enjoy that kind of thing, so my score doesn't include my dissatisfaction with that particularly plot point, otherwise this would be a 2/10 <<less
