Short read, but I gotta say, one of the greater Genderbender novels I read out there. Can't hurt giving this a try. 9/10

I'm surprised by the high rating. The MC tried to not be a heroine, but he keeps acting like one and even said all the cliche heroine lines that ever existed. I find it quite hard to believe he doesn't realize how he is acting. In fact, he did mention how he realized he's been acting like a heroine, and resolved to try and stop that by...... acting like a heroine again. I get that this work is meant to be fluff but come on, the MC is mind numbingly... more>> dumb and his "reasons" for acting the way he did is superfluous at best. The misunderstanding feels so forced. The "trying to stay a mob chara and not a heroine" wasn't executed very well when the MC is basically planting overdone cliche romance flags left right front and back.

Edit: Read even further, the whole plot is just the hero + country chilhood heroine fairy tale cliche and nothing innovative. The only thing unique is the MC's quips of "b-b-but I don't want to be a heroine, this is a misunderstanding" which is funny the first few time, except author basically used this at least once every single chapter. <<less

A complete story. 10/10

It’s honestly a surprisingly good story.

The TS plays a very big factor to not only the plot, but as well as character relationship. MC is conflicted between her past and current life and its not played-off in a comedic way. The MC takes it seriously and constantly feels inadequate to the ML because she does not consider herself as a “normal girl”, and as such she sometimes acts dense or pretends its familial or platonic kind of love. All as a means to hide her anxiety.

The ending... more>> is very good too. I felt satisfied. <<less

That God is a total troll, and, the depiction of it being octopus-like feels kind of novel.

The plot flow is fine for now, it's fun.

As for the characters, the Hero guy is a cute and coward weirdo, the other village girl was great, the MC is denser than a black hole about the Hero, but considering the situation I think it's understable.

... more>> The MC got my attention, from a psychosocial standpoint.

As a trans myself, I'm sure that body and mind don't necessarily go the same way, in terms of identity.

Seeing the way that the MC perceives men and women and the confusion that the change in body and location brought on those things is pretty interesting.

From my point of view, there's a difference between what one really is, and what one likes, as a partner. Those are two separate things.

One can just see people as humans, and not care about what body they're in.

But, I think it's not easy for most, so his confusion makes sense, as the need to categorize.

I think, however, that one should do some introspection and see if there's something that's being forced so as to not go off a predetermined set of society's rules.

In simpler terms, if MC likes both genders, or one, straight or not, that has really nothing to do with identifying as a male inside.

Sure, it may be a hassle from a social pressure standpoint but it's a personal situation that has to be solved by the individual. For their own mental health.

If what makes a soul tasty for a God are things like this, that troll's going to enjoy it like a gourmet when the time comes. <<less

Yeah, that's GB story and there's we have typical reincarnation with FL (guy in previous life) & ML (typical Hero). Can say that interesting to read. Typical comrades our Hero have some dark sides in their souls, but nothing serious yet, at that monent.

They all like FL because of her attitude even at first not so much.

This story good and promising, but we need more chapters for sure
