KR vtuber stories seem inseperable from its wider entertainment industry like drama and film production, and this one is no different. Protag gets tangled immediately with a big network PD just by sheer power of luck. She encounters various people in the industry like a child actor that she makes friends with (is this a trope? I've seen it 3x now...), an artist, and some singers. To its credit, the author does pay more attention to the Youtube and Twitch side, featuring encounters with multiple full time streamers (some of... more>> which lie outside the country, but thats a bit of a spoiler, I think you could guess just by knowing it's a Vtuber story)

I don't know how video editing works so my eyes kinda glaze over when the chapters go at length about various editing processes. Neither could I confirm the idea of describing video editing as "digital knitting" or the like. But despite that, I kinda enjoy how the story describes it and builds the story around the practice.

The early bit (around ch1 to 10ish?) of the story is a little bitter, with the MC struggling to get out of the orphanage and being beaten by the other kids. But it eventually passes. Later when she secured her own survival, she gets a bit of a crisis about the meaning of her existence but she recovers from it quickly. Overall I'm satisfied with how its progressing. She sticks to that editor/director role she is aspiring for and has refused to be in front of the camera every time she was offered the chance.

Gender bender enjoyers, be happy because this MC does think about their situation of going from old man to young female child for more than THREE sentences. A shame that it's hard to say even that for a lot of other works in the genre. Hits a few spots on the checklist, more than good enough for my standards.

Translation looks pretty solid, and it wasn't hard to reach out to the TL's discord to ask for corrections. I'm pretty happy with their work so far. <<less
