First two ten chapters was decent, then yeah no. Too much progression for MC without reason, from seems a decent MC into money grubbing, just eww low class MC if I may say.

good concept, but the author seems doesnt care about cultivating power level and just randomly smacking mortals. No brainer MC and gambling addict from system.

As always tr*sh quality of human, forgot what he was, and for no reason gambling his assets and looking the heroine as cashcow.

Final verdict. Im dropping this shit.

Very much enjoying the novel so far. It’s pretty slice of life with quite a few action events happening but because the MC is pretty overpowered for the modern world they’re mostly treated like gags. The characters are all pretty good with their own quirks. Overall I’d say it’s a pretty fun read for people who’re okay with the tags.

Honestly, solid series so far - Very interesting concept. I'm... not really sure how accurate these tags actually are, though. Well, in particular, that "harem-seeking protagonist" tag so far feels... ridiculously inaccurate. If anything, it's "a harem that's seeking the protagonist who has no interest in them and just wants to be with his childhood friend" - Seriously. The Harem Genre is fine - Literally every other important character so far aside from the MC is a girl - but he's actively turned them down multiple times and even outright... more>> claimed to be a one woman man. Yeah, there's a high chance of that changing later on, but not because the protag is actually actively trying.

So, story setting-wise.

Modern day "urban cultivation" setting - Modern day world with a secret community of low-powered cultivators with a more secret higher level but still likely incomplete proper cultivation community behind it.

MC is your typical broke, weak, terminally ill orphan w/ an inexplicably beautiful childhood friend, and the 2 of them are in love with each other but both of them think it's unrequited.

One day, MC is officially diagnosed with heart failure, and in his despair, miraculously activates a system. Y'know, the typical setup.

But this system... is way more interesting than usual. It's a tenant system... and his tenants are either people from other worlds that somehow came to his world, or supernatural entities like ghosts. And every day, he gets an absurd amount of money from them, as well as a chance to get items related to them - Cultivation materials from the cultivator from another world, ghost-related items from the ghost, etc. - His system also has some other features, like the ability to go on text-based adventures in the worlds his tenants are from for treasure, and to magically renovate his house, etc. - It's honestly quite an interesting system.

The thing that really stands out here, and the synopsis really makes me hopeful for this, is the fact his system doesn't seem to have any specific hard limits. The tenants could be... anyone. So unlike, say, "my virtual girlfriend is a sword immortal" where the MC's "cheat" is purely limited to him getting cultivation-related stuff, this guy's system could theoretically cover anything - Cultivation, magic, sci-fi tech, magi-tech, even alternate tech routes like steampunk style tech, etc., and even things like medieval worlds or the past could honestly result in him getting genuinely useful stuff and rewards since they'd provide things like antiques, gold, gems, etc. - There's SO much potential for this series to get really interesting compared to all the various similar ones.

So far, SOLID potential. It's still far too early to say much for sure - Still pretty much in the first real arc and as is typical with CN novels, despite being 64 chapters in, well.... we've probably got at least another 1, 000 to go, so not much has really happened. But as someone who genuinely enjoys reading the specific extended genre this is a part of, it really stands out so far... for the genre at least. If you don't like CN power fantasy/wish fulfillment/OP protag/system cheat protag types of novels, well... It's still solidly part of that extended genre, most of the general tropes included, so... But for the genre? It's good so far. And the TL is definitely on the upper half of CN novel TLs - Not perfect, but 100% followable and understandable. Aside from the occasional pronoun issue (which I don't think I've read a single CN novel aside from all-female yuri ones that didn't have this problem, so honestly not sure there's a single TL that doesn't have this issue...), any issues aren't noticeable enough to impact the reading experience. <<less
