Almost all foreigners are actually alien invaders, and only 9% of the non-chinese people on earth are not the enemy, but weak guinea pigs used as experimental materials. In this way, only Chinese people are pure and powerful - everyone else is either an invader or powerless gnats. It is also mentioned that the 9% they rescue can be used as weapons against the actual foreign aliens, and possibly as energy for batteries.

If you can ignore that, the story itself is quite entertaining. The MC and ML are OP, so there's never much stress over them coming out on top. There's some twists and turns, some face slapping, the usual package. The MC occasionally has somewhat annoying houlier than thou moments of speaking condescendingly to "powerful" people he treats as friends who aren't as clever as himself.

Still a good story, just with some rather obvious issues. Would read again anyway ouob <<less

This author has a particularly bad case of racism towards anyone who isn't chinese which is a shame because otherwise their writing is solid with interesting ideas and characters. The main character really feels like a real scientist his reaction to supernatural stuff as a new unstudied field and his explanation that anything that objectively exists is materialistic therefore there is no conflict in materialism and supernatural beliefs if the supernatural stuff actually exists. The setting at the end while rasist is an interesting setting in and of itself just... more>> not very likely nor very plesent to read as a person who is not chinese. The romance is slow but also fast the characters basicly fall in love very early but have more important things pressing then falling in love so them getting together is incredibly slow.

All in all I give it 4 stars, if it wasn't racist it would be 5. <<less

Just as the other review said if you can ignore the Western hate, this story is actually pretty good.

I might even say that the way they incorporated the Western hate thing in the story was quite genius.

I'm used to the China is the best narrative that these authors usually use, but this author brought a whole new flavor to it XD quite unique.

For the rest the story is quite enjoyable to read. The mystery in finding out why things are happening was nice. The romance was quite the extra chapters... more>> were a pain to find cause most places have the story as completed but don't have the extra chapters.

Those extra chapters were also very good. <<less

The satisfying thing about this novel is that it's long!!! It's so long that every time something comes to a conclusion and there's a little break - I don't have to worry about the ending coming too soon. There's always more! Although it's less than 200 chapters it honestly feels like a 700 chapter novel. That's how fun it is!

This can be a pro or a con, but the pace of the novel sometimes feels like a continuous long day. It doesn't really end; it just keeps going. You see... more>> every minute detail of the MC's life and whatever he does like a CCTV. Strange, but alright, I guess. Sometimes it's good, sometimes its bad. No matter what minor detail there is you still got to read about it.

My least favorite character in this novel is the yama seal. So annoying!!! Its personality is just so unlikable. Thankfully further in the novel it doesn't appear as much. The ML's personality turns into a 1D character pretty much right after they get together. Even his lines are all the same, he is a cardboard character here to help MC further the plot and serve face as the love interest without anything else to his character (also at the end it was kind of confirmed?). By the end of the novel you realized the MC is just OP. That's it. That's his entire story and character setting. All the setup before about research and the stuff at the beginning gets watered down so much it just ends up being MC = OP at the end. The main thing is that this novel is boring with the fillers but it's still good enough to eat. It's like eating a salad but there's parts of it that you find incredibly bland but you just have to get through. The story's choice to make the entirety of anyone who's not Chinese aliens is also so bizarre?? It's really audacious in its xenophobia, but it's also not as bad as other novels mostly because most of this novel's flaw is in it's one-dimensionality.

The synopsis makes it sound like the development is very rapid, but to be honest 120 chapters in and the first part (talisman manufacturing) still isn't fulfilled. Don't count on the synopsis. The novel is... well... anyways! <<less

I give it 5 stars so far, I'm on chapter 117.

The novel is well-constructed and has very few if any, since I haven't noticed any so far. The romance is slow, so if you don't like it, leave quickly. 90% is about Feng Jingchen's experiments, underworld infrastructure, science, physics, etc., and the remaining 10% is the romance, but that doesn't mean we won't have some development, they are a great couple and the typical couple with completely opposite personalities. I don't know what to say without giving away spoilers,... more>> but I highly recommend it, I'm loving it, look, I'm very picky about what I read and I end up stopping a lot of novels because there's something small that irritates me, the only thing I have to complain about is that it's very slow, but that's what the author intended for this novel, a slow romance with infrastructure and revolutions.

almost forgetting that it contains topics like other plans (like dimensions, for example, super technology with robots and futuristic cars.) which is really cool and which is not touched on in many novels, it also has Philosophy and life lessons, personal, moral. <<less

A very comfortable novel I read after a long time. Both MC and ML are op. But that will not stop you from wanting to know more about how the novel is going to progress.
