Tao, our protagonist of the story, is a mortician transported into a novel called How an Extra in the Academy Survives. The twist is that Tao is not the original protagonist Luke, who was possessed by an Extra character, which is a character that is unimportant to the plot. Tao is unrelated to the original script, but is given an opportunity to become a hero because he can see the ghosts of heroes past.

I enjoy the first seven chapters of the story and recommend I was Chosen by the Academy Heroes for readers who want to read another story about an otherworlder who has to interfere in the plot to save the world.
