I Was Mistaken for a Coincidence

It has been 30 years since I was reincarnated into a martial arts world.

I have only been training alone in the mountains.

For some reason, more and more people are asking me to take them as disciples.

I am aware that not all genres are for people. I personally don't like quite a few popular genres that I see trending on a lot of websites

I went into this seeing a few genres I do like, but it hurt me anyway.

If you like a MC that is dense, to the point where he's doing incredible feats and going, "Huh, why are you guys amazed" (Not a direct quote), then this is for you

I'm disappointed that this is such a popular work.

I'm up-to-date with this work, and I just wanted to refute Charlz's claims. Unlike Charlz, I don't spread disinformation to further my agenda.

  1. The MC is overpowered as all heck.
  2. The MC's disciples romantically like the MC, and given the author's previous works, *cough* The Time-Stop Breeding Uncle Wants to Retire and The Best Disciples in the World are Obsessed *cough*, the MC x disciples ship is basically confirmed.
Does this mean the novel is bad? Nah.

This is some good shit.

Don't sleep on this one.

It's easy to misunderstand that this would be another "huh? I guess that enemy was weak" cliche, but if you get past the initial world building and introduction, you will find that the MC is actually not that strong.

Past the first arc, it's revealed that ... more>>

the MC struggles with opponents near his apparent (peak) level

[collapse]
At this point, the narrative shifted from a cliched strong MC to mistaken identity.

The character development has been going really nice too. The MC started with a meek mentality, like those "farming slice of life" tropes, but started to build his resolve in his own way.

What I do find fault, however, is how the martial terms are thrown around. It might be lost in translation or merely because the source was inconsistent, but power levels like "transcendent" or "peak" realms are used interchangeably. You may need to link existing murim power levels to get a better idea.

Another criticism you may find is the relationships. It's a classic disciple-master fanatism/one-sided love from the characters he saved, but so far the MC has been treating them like his daughters. <<less
