I was 28 years old, single, and had a car accident that ended my short life…or so I thought.

When I woke up, I was a high school student again.

My only regret in my previous life was not confessing my love to my childhood friend, whom I thought was in love with me back then, so I confessed my love to her on the spur of the moment.

[Do you like me? There’s no way I’d go out with you.]

I was rejected.

I had no motivation to live my second life, so I made a promise to Mirai Natsuki, a girl who would commit su*cide in the near future.

[When you die, I will die with you.]

After a while, the promised day came.

I stood on the school’s roof with Natsuki, and after revealing our innermost feelings to each other, we climb over the rooftop railing together.

――We hold each other’s hands gently.

After looking at the view before our feet, I look away from her face.

I realize I am not qualified to wipe the tears from her cheeks, and I regret what I had promised her…

Then I jumped off with Natsuki.

This time, I thought I could finally end my life.

But then, unexpected things happen――

School level Drama in an episodic slice of life format. A good drama, with a neutral good ending - but not golden. Wouldn't call it grueling. There was a leap as you get later in the story and almost believe it to be actually bad, it did get better fast.

But maybe you hoped for more. The early chapters made you hope for something profound.

If you are considering reading this, consider some more, definitely not some epic to remember

Themes of lame school bullying, yandere, adultery, domestic violence, even quirky sh*t like... more>> lo*icon guy, all of it left a sh*t aftertaste - all of it, just heroine drama, schoolgirls.

Could have been spent more on 'can love/purpose time travel', honing in on the MC instead of the heroines: his obsessions, the initial time loop causing regret, actually rekindling a desire for life.

Gosh darn it, what a ride.

If you're considering reading this, do it. Do not read the other reviews nor this one, since they're filled with spoilers and some that don't understand how characters with complex emotions work, or can't fanthom what reading comprehension is. Like, no, things are not explicitly stated, BUT THEY'RE IMPLIED!! Actually, stop reading reviews right now and go read the story. I mean, geez, so many people think they're geniuses of literature. Dude, we're reading LNs, not eternal classics. This is to turn off your brain,... more>> not to pretend to be smart.

Anyways, this story has its ups and downs. It is not happy go lucky novel, so go in knowing this.

The MC is not perfect, but he's not a bad person. Though if you're the kind of person that easily holds a grudge then DO NOT READ THIS. The characters in this story are NOT good people, neither are they bad people, they're just people. They have their scummy moments and their good moments. I can say that the ending is satisfactory. Despite what others may think (as I said before, they're just pretending to be smart).

And if you're easily impressionable, do not read this either. There's a kind of romantization of su*cide, but it has a narrative meaning, it is not done just because. And the MC is really scummy at certain moments, specially in his low moments.

Though I'm mad there's no timeline where the MC got together with the best girl, Iori, but she's too good for the world, I guess.

With that, I can honestly say that this is a good story, so enjoy it wholeheartedly.

Why did I give this story 5 stars? Because I enjoyed it. It's not perfect and there are translation mistakes here and there, but I really enjoyed it. <<less

what im talking about is how he regressed and act like its a chance to fix his only past regret and after that hes willing to rest peacefully or so he says but he act in according to self interest that its like he is actually not doing what he thinks. For example hes like "hey if you want to die ill die with you (he thinks he doesnt have anything to do so he trynna make the person happy" but then a good girl that hes known for years confessed to him and wanted him to date her hes like "no" for no reason at all. I thought your you wanted to use your meaningless life to at least make someone happy but this good, cute person you personally know confessed youre just straight not dating her and you'd rather kill yourself with a random girl you didnt know instead. I get that its for the sake of plot but I just think the contradictions are a bit too apparent

Has to be one of the best WN I've ever read. The MC is neither a "good" person, nor does he have anything special. He's... Human, and that's what I like about him. I highly encourage everyone to give this novel a try.

Tough read, can't say this is my favorite by any standard. Despite that, this gets a 5 star from me. I rated this because the ending was worth it, but it really was a gruel fest getting to the end. Definitely got fed up with the giving up mentality. I personally would've at almost every point in time gave the girl a hug and made her aware that she is the single most important thing to me, that she cannot die because I do not want her to, and she... more>> should live for me like I would live for her. But alas, the ending did its own roundabout way to represent this, but ultimately, it was a fulfilling story. <<less

Decently written story about time leap, bullying, and su*cide. The whole story revolves on the full drama of negative characters. I really hate how the author use too much time leap (more than 3) in this short novel, it's too much repetitive.

Also, by reading the synopsis, I thought something will good will happen after the second su*cide, but it turns out that it's just a start of the story of saving a suicidal person who stay like that near until the end. That's why it's depressing and not really good.... more>> I honestly didn't read this expecting a "full drama". There's a barely to none good moments. The ending too seems lackluster, because it's very normal and nothing special. The main heroine too, which is the suicidal girl is just a socially inept, prickly, unlucky, and not honest but good person. I like her at the beginning, but reading how shee keeps turning negative and suicidal, I got annoyed. The gal bully seems to be the only decent one and has the best development to me in the whole story, and it's too bad she didn't end up with the MC.

The novel is short and completed, so you can go ahead and try this. <<less

Absolutely peak cinema. Translation has some minor flaws, but nothing that's novel ruining, just the typical pronoun swaps for characters (he for female characters, for example).

The story is gripping from start to finish and the ending couldn't have been more satisfying. I highly recommend that anyone checking reviews just start reading it because you'll finish it in one day and be here writing a review like mine.

It's about a guy who once bullied through ignoring the 'most beautiful girl' of their class on the countryside... Every time he died, he will reset but would advance a season before her eventual death, the graduation ceremony. I guess the author tried to give it a route-based guide like what the aforementioned novel, but the problem is that he is not as dramatic like the 2nd MC of the former... The ending is quite meh in my opinion and was not as satisfying as it was meant to portray.
