I'm just posting a review 15 chapters (up to date at time) to say I have 0 idea on what is happening. (IGNORE THE STARS I PUT)

Compared to other novels, each chapter feels beyond bare bones to the point that it's confusing. The translation is good, but everything else confuses me.

... more>> 1 chapter of the Roxana (or debut or die) novel would be like 6 chapters of this (and it doesn't help how the free-release schedule isn't consistent).

So the MC is stuck in a timeloop where every 31st December, she dies. This has happened for a long while, so I think she's gone insane and fell for ML. More specifically, she gets eaten by the ML while he is in lion form.

In this world, from what I gather, there are "big cats" which are beastmen that can switch between human and animal form (??). The ML is a big cat that keeps MC as a collectable item ("the canary woman") within his home [I won't comment on my thoughts on that].

I think during the 1st timeline, MC was stuck up (from what I gather from their dialogue), so they're slightly confused by her current timeline actions (jumping from an attic window).

Issac (ML) seems like the generic obsessed character because its stated he banned male employees from even looking at MC (or else he'd eat them or sell them into s*avery to the Sky Dome (????)).

Overall, everything just feels really messy right now and I wouldn't suggest reading it until there's at least 30 free chapters out

Edit: There are some more chapters out. The dynamic and motivations are a lot clearer now. However I still dislike how everything is structured.

FL/MC, after jumping out of an attic window, is in a coma. During this time, both FL and ML are recounting their memories growing up together with their love/HATE relationship (mainly hate). I personally hate stories that spend more than 20 chapters going over a backstory at the very start of the series, it is genuinely boring. Id much rather they have the occasional chapter explaining a backstory (like in Kill the Villainess) than pushing it all at once.

FL basically ab*sed ML when they were both children with an unhealthy power dynamic of her being his employer's daughter. So this made her hate her bur also wish to possess her like a toy. However this backstory is drawn out WAYY too long when it couldve been a few scenes.

if you're looking for a timeloop series where the emphasis is on the timeloop, this novel is not for you. Its practically a glorified regression story where MC does nothing at all. <<less

It's still early days but I'm quite enjoying this one so far! It's a very unusual setting, somewhat post-apocalyptic, and I love a novel that shakes things up.

It takes place on a heavily polluted earth, where the people on the ground use technology to try and stay alive. High above there is a sky city where the wealthy remaining humans use alchemy and magic and live above the pollution. He keeps the FL as some kind of pet, but I think the power dynamics here are more complicated than it seems initially. FL doesn't seem to mind and they have a past of some kind. Will have to see where it goes! <<less
