“…I’ve had enough, I just want to die.”
He thought of dying one day in December as snow fell, no longer seeing Manager Kim, who liked to belittle him, or Assistant Manager Ha Sung-min, who looked down on him.
Certain he had died in a tragic accident that day, he couldn’t fathom what had happened.
“This… what on earth happened?”
When Seo Jin-woo opened his eyes again, he found himself in a world that was an August summer rather than a December winter! Moreover, it seemed like he had returned to a time before his junior Ha Sung-min stole his idea during a planning meeting?
Despite resolving to quit before the thought of wanting to die crept in after his return to the past, things didn’t go as planned.
“Now that I think of it, I didn’t get to give proper feedback on the proposal due to the meeting going awry just a while ago. ―You’ve probably all heard it in advance during the announcement earlier anyways.”
Executive Director Baek Eui-hyeon became an obstacle to leaving the company.
“Most likely, if nothing happens, Assistant Manager Seo’s plan will be selected.”
Seo Jin-woo became the person in charge of the project after returning!
“…What have I done?”
This time, can he successfully complete the project without being manipulated by anyone?

The MC only regressed 5 months backwards and he doesn't remember any small golden key details like which stock to invest in or whatever, so don't expect him to be this near-omniscient OP that has everything go his way. He's also so kind and upright that he won't even think to use underhanded means to get back at the villains.
Speaking of villains, there are too many of them for my liking and they all have the same personality--greedy, incompetent, in the position of power. I understand that the author needs to give them screentime, but there's such a thing as too much. Personally, I had to stop between chapters or skip the dialogues if it's not the main couple talking.
By c75, I thought they'd start healing (cause it's literally half-way through the novel), but our main couple is still in the middle of misery. And since both MC and ML have their own problems, it's hard to comfort each other.
Towards the later half, there were less unnecessary dialogue, but there were still a lot. The real moment when the main couple start their counterattack was around c120. It was ridiculous to think they could've done all that sooner since all evidences were literally there. It's double ridiculous because it seemed the villain easily managed to get the evidence the ML has spent a long time getting. Until the end, there's not much substance to the villains. They're just made to be severely hateful. It's triple ridiculous because the author just closed everything as "every bad person got punished". They made it seem to build up to a moment when we finally get to see a healthy work environment for the company, so it was a real disappointment.
I would've liked this story a lot better if there were more details about the MC and ML being sweet. Best we got is a few chapters of them comforting each other. For instance, there isn't even a date event. The highlight of their relationship is when the ML realizes his feelings and when they start to date. Don't get me wrong, they're still proper romantic, but it's unsatisfactory if you're looking for a novel with a lot of sweet moments.
Personally, I'm not a fan of frustrating novels. But if I were to be honest, it did do a good job at being frustrating. It's sad that this is a real portrayal of the Korean corporate life, though severely exaggerated. (Obv it's not just KR that has this work culture). I couldn't help but think how much more miserable the story would have been if our MC didn't have his executive director ML. Still, it was fun to see the villains fall.
The ML is also a very interesting character. He appears blunt and strong, but he's the most broken of them all.
I was hoping to see the happy ending of the couple instead of just "they went home and cuddled", but alas, there are no side stories as of typing this.
