I'm at chapter 87, while I could see the part about extreme nationalism mentioned by user JTMTTJ, I still think besides that, the novel is enjoyable after u shut off ur brain and go for the ride.

First and foremost, despite the cons about the nationalism, the novel did have good way to tell horror scenarios with their 'mysteries'. If this is compared to other novels which have the same level of nationalism and just wanted some full blown lazy writing that all they could write is "MC is Awesome!", it's... more>> definitely better. At least, plot wise, all the mysteries I've read so far had their own ways or solutions which reminds me to House of Horror.

Second, yes, it is all about the MC is face slapping the ghosts and all supernatural there. But that's literally the point of this novel. Even the Sypnosis tells you that. So you are here for a really, REALLY overpowered MC which bulldozed through the ghosts. Unlike in House of Horror where the MC has to think the solutions, this MC did think some solutions but almost all of them is done by brute force them, which is exactly why I'm here so I'm not disappointed. If u r looking for characters that needs to solve mysteries with their life on the line like house of horror, then this novel is not for you, instead I recommend My Iyashikei Game which written by the same author as House of Horror.

But! If you are imagined what if an overpowered xianxia character is placed in the scenario of house of horror, THEN this novel is for you. So far, five stars, definitely need more recognition to others. <<less

Pro: the premise, I like creepypasta stories that feature rules to survive. So if you like those then you will enjoy this. Cons: Extreme nationalism combined with a xianxia/wuxia protagonist. He of course handsome, and so talented he can do things in 2 years that would take an expert 20 years.

Great background, horrible character and terrible blending of nationalism. This is basically a face slapping novel set in a world where rules based scenarios take people to experience them. <<less
