OK overall, it's a quick read that's not too complex or convoluted and there's the obligatory fluff on occasion. There were some meh moments which kept me from rating this higher and if I remember right (it's been a while since I read this) the MC is dense AF when it comes to the ML, though his IQ is normal otherwise. I got pretty impatient in the middle due to the misunderstandings and MC's denseness. The only personal comment in my notes was: ... more>>

5 stars. I guess I like it.

The ending wasn't so dramatic. No twists and turns, complicated things. None. That's what I like about it.

I actually decided to read this because I saw in description that the protagonist, Chu Huai arrived at the world of horror wearing women's clothes. Someone upstairs, in the reviews, also told, that the Author of Supernatural Movie Actor App is also the Author of this book. I'm hooked.

I read this in raws, and it was so amusing watching him act like weak women when he was... more>> so outstanding. I'm simping when he acts cool, intelligent, and after that he acts like he's just lucky, coincident.

The fact that Jin Tianyi knew from the start that he's man makes it more interesting.

Jin Tianyi even went along with his antics. That he didn't know he was a man.

He acts so frivolous towards Chu Huai makes it more good. I'm being fed dog food constantly.

I love the characters here, they have their own stories to tell. Some just want to survive, while some just want to atone. Even at the cost of their own life.

The quality of the novel while reading it in raws is good, easy to understand.

Plot, I like how it's not so complicated. Its just simple and ended with the two of them. The scene was quite sweet.

Overall, 5/5. No qualms. Recommended when you just want to be happy and nothing to read. <<less

It's... Okay overall. Lots of fluff, some insta-love with MC and ML. There are just sooo many things I'm confused about like

  • I know crossdressing is in the tags & MC IS forced to crossdress the first arc but... Even when he's on the rest period, for 3 days and even the next arc, he just continues cross-dressing? And he never tells anyone he's actually a man (even tho ML knows (and weirdly enough, he doesn't mention that he knows?)) Like... Think about it. Being mistaken for a woman makes MC uncomfortable even though he accepts it pretty quick. Then, afterwards, he just continues cross-dressing for days. Weeks... Does he never change his clothes? Does he ask for women's clothes when he starts living with ML and the others?? And if you say, oh, he probably just didn't want to make it weird, telling them that he's man... Um. No, MC is depicted as a shameless/straightforward/clever person. There is NO reason for him to still be crossdressing but I feel like the author wanted to put that in. So they did. Maybe the author read Kaleidescope of Death or something.
  • All the other characters have pitiful IQ besides the ML and MC. I'm used to that in these unlimited flow stories but literally literally pretty much everyone seems to die from 'dumb/hasty' decisions besides MC, ML and 1-2 friendly side characters.
  • I'm not really a fan of insta-love? Or maybe ML accepts MC rly fast for some reason I haven't got to yet. Idk, it reads kinda weird how the relationship dynamic changes from MC being shameless and getting ML's attention to MC being shy/flustered all the time from ML's advances when they've known each other for like, 4-5 days.

So there's some good points to this story, the horror world and the horror instances are well written. The main characters are good people who are also strong, but not overly ruthless or cruel.

The primary mystery that created tension in the novel is the ML's backstory.

Unfortunately, the payoff was a bit shallow. The end reveal wasn't as epic as it could have been. The author petered out in the end and didn't write as much as they could have or as interesting, bringing out terms like "main god" vs. "Main world" without introducing either of those concepts earlier in the story.

The relationship progression is also a bit odd and not very clear (it felt that the ML fell for the MC too hard) even though they were supposed to be just pretending all along.

Finally, regarding the translation, I would say that CG's translation was a bit disappointing. It's definitely edited MTL, and the original translator isn't as good as figuring out how to edit the MTL correctly. For the reviews who thought the author wrote some confusing parts, I agree and guarantee that it wasn't the author, but a problem with the translation.

There are some mixed up pronouns (MTL will often insert random pronouns, even when the speaker is clearly male, and no I'm not referring to cross-dressing Chu Huai, but other clearly designated as male characters being describe with female pronouns due to MTL) and mixed up names (for example, a character would be talking to Jin Tianyi, but the translation would have it say that they are speaking to Chu Huai instead in the middle of the conversation.) Overall, the story isn't hard to understand, just keep in mind all the parts that don't make sense are translation errors, not the author's intent.

A previous reviewer mentioned that MC was too dense when it came to ML but I personally disagree. MC was just like man this is gonna be awkward having to tell this mofo I have a pen*s and have been lying. But he wasn't agonizing over it and ended up telling him pretty quickly.

TLDR, entertaining story with a BE HE

This is the first time CG has disappointed me. The translator needs a TLC, there's too many errors. Perhaps even an editor, there's so many misused pronouns, it's super annoying to read through. (Liu Han especially)

The story itself is alright, the crossdressing a fun addition, but it's nothing original. The MC is smart but lacks EQ. He's not very consistent either, sometimes acts like a child, sometimes like an adult; the author needs to make up her mind.

This is my first time writing a review and if there is a mistake or whatever problem, please don’t mind me><

So it is just my opinion about the novel since I already completed it through mtl. Anyway, I am usually picky when picking up a series to read. As for this novel, what catches my interest is the MC being a man in a woman's clothing. Therefore I decided to pick this up and read it.

If you like a type of cross-dressing, acting as weak but a clever protagonist, horror... more>> (not too scary) plot with mysterious solving, a pampering ML... then you can give it a try.

The author of this novel is the same as the author of ‘supernatural movie actor app’. But, if I was to said which one is better then the ‘supernatural movie actor app’ is better.

Truth to be told, the MC is clever, however, I don’t like the way he acted, it looks like he was playing with ML feeling which is extremely too fake and as for ML, he did know about MC true gender but he just play along with him until chapter 50, (I guess) that is probably when MC revealed his true gender. As for the arc it’s still acceptable but not too great since it wasn’t too scary.

Novel not recommended to read.

Lots of pointless text, flimsy world construction, nonsense romance, Mc’s sudden appearance hugging ML made no sense, and a rather unsatisfying conclusion after pointless angst.

-300Quintillion/10 Not Worth.

Honestly, i've always had difficulties with horror theme novels but that's okay here because the MC is not a white lotus that's needs the ML to came to rescue. Therefore it's more pleasurable to read. It's funny, and clever and the ending is not predictable. Five stars.

I love this. The MC is so c*cky and shameless, and the ML let's him be?!

I love their interactions, they're both funny and fluffy. And sometimes I just get 😳☺. I'm still in arc1, but I do like how it's really explained about what and why happened (as in, the backstory of the arc). And the ML really is a doting one.

The premise of the story was good. I love horror survival genre, even though it’s also cliche I love these reads. What dampened the whole book was the edited mtl translation. I am sorry, usually I am very grateful for someone taken the time to do this, but the confusing he, she and sudden changes of name on a same paragraph, chapter, reversing conversation, really did a confusing and frustrated read (it’s like sudden ‘dunno whats going on ‘ on top of the mystery solving and the word play... more>> all jumble together) really diminished the whole reading experience. (So I minus 1/2 star)

Ok, now the story, why I give another minus 1/2 star, it’s because the story doesn’t really fell whole, even though author does seem wrap it up nicely, but there still alot of scenes does not gel nicely together. The characters and plots just feel “ justified “ why the villains canon fodders should dies because it’s “ justified “ why the backstory, explanation and plots, also “justified “ because it’s kinda like this. -_-. And the ends also not much information. But if ignore it all, it’s still a passable, kinda horror, kinda fluff story. Read it if you like these kind of genre or just to pass time. Thank you <<less

To be honest, I like this novel. The general idea of the plot is great, the ML and MC relationship is quite sweet (since it's insta-love). The MC is crossdresser (the horror world makes him do so) and he's kinda dense, and the ML is a doting type. I love them both

I really wanna give it ✩5 but what I don't like from this novel maybe.. I feel like the horror world is kinda lacking and boring? Or maybe it's the way the author write the story that I feel... more>> not clear or mysterious enough, and instead it makes me confused and it's didn't give me quite the thrill from horror genre <<less

The title does not lie. Read to this far, and MC does keep flirting with ML sooo much!!!

MC is not gay. He even forced to wear Female Clothes. But with this, he can act like a Shy and Weak young girl. And ML just let him cling to him!

In a way, this novel remind me of KoD. MC and ML has been Intimate since first met! They cling and sleep together. And they are not exactly uncomfortable with it. And the fact there's Cross dresser even make this novel really... more>> remind me of KoD. But plot wise; TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM KOD (KALEIDOSCOPE OF DEATH) !!!

ML already interested and dotes MC since first arc. And I LOVE IT!!!

There's still Mystery about ML's identity. And MC's problem still secret.

It was totally Different from what I would ever expected!!!

Like how MC's problem was not as Intriguing as I would expect (no offence), though it's still quite interesting plot. But apparently the ML's background was the Most Intriguing Interesting one and I LOVE IT!!!

It give us some bittersweet feeling toward other characters too. But we really do love the good side character. None played as Saint nor Heartless. I appreciate how the author writing the characters.

The Instance was also not hard to Think or 'Imagine'. At least, I can understand some clues of it. So I get 70% setting in each arc. Lol

I won't call it Perfect novel. But it was a Well Thought one and has Reasonable Good HE for both characters.

It make sense and Lovely and I'm SOOOOO relieved!!!

First things first, translation was pretty good.

Now coming on to the story itself, it's good but not great. I had some issues with how the story flowed & some of the logic as well. I like the MC and ml, they're both broken but not perverse. What made me unsatisfied though is the ending - if you ask whether it was a happy ending, I guess it was but it didn't feel like a conclusion. Almost like someone finished on a comma instead of a fullstop & now I can't... more>> help but feel a little robbed of that fullstop. <<less

4.1 for me.. it can be read, the adventure spirit was there.. although they had some of plot hole inside, and it may distrub your imagination to imaging the setting place, I don't accept this novel to be yaoi.. they don't have enough spice to categories as yaoi.. they rather be shounen ai flavour, the love between them... hmmm unconditional love 80% don't get me wrong.. sweet and the part of unconditional was there.. but.. something feels doesn't right.. the logic of mc's background is full of hole, and first... more>> chapter and so on just feel like they try to bury their plot hole with justification <<less

I went ahead and mtled it. It was great to read it. Okay. This is not as detailed and scary than the other novel about horror infinite flow but it did made me want to read till the end which is one of the key factor. The thing is the flirting of MC to ML is really made me stay. I wont dig upon the can-be-done better parts... I just want to say thanks for the translator. It's pretty short for the kind of horror game or something like that. It's good to read. But not that detail. The MC and ML meet early. They stuck together in the calm and rational way.

The story is good but don't expect some overly amazing complicated plot. The plot is shallow (I'm sorry you were a victim of my shallow emotions) . You can still read it, don't let reviews stop you from reading, you have to read it for yourself to enjoy and understand best.

I started losing interest in the story during the last arc because it felt more rushed to me like the author wanted to get the story over with. I also feel like some characters at near the end lost... more>> a bit of their personalities.

If I were to actually rate it, it would probably be 3.5/5 <<less

I don't think this novel would get a solid 4 out of me, honestly there are flows that can be seen throughout the story, like TL and more, but I'm thankful to translator, I mean they did what they could, but everything made me to give this novel less than 4.

It was good to read, but you need to choose that you want to read it or not......

Not gonna lie, I'm not gonna read this for a second time, but I don't regret reading it.

This is an infinity flow novel which falls a bit short by other standard novels. I'm not saying it's bad, but there's a sense of inconsistency when I read it. I don't know how to explain it, but in my opinion the personality of the characters in this novel is a bit fickle.

I think the mystery in some arcs is a bit untidy, I'm a bit difficult to understand but that's just my opinion. Oh yeah and also the author sometimes gives answers directly to the reader, not through... more>> conversations between characters. So it's a bit boring, but it's pretty good, so give it a try. <<less
