The problem?.. This game doesn’t end after one playthrough.

Jun is prepared to guide Fabian through the second playthrough to the true ending when… Fabian abandons her.

Now Grand Duke Mayer Knox—captain of the Dark Knights and the secret final boss—is determined to have her join his party.

Can Jun turn the final boss into the main character?

Why is Mayer Knox so intent on having her at his party?

And when will these rumors about her being his lover stop?!

It's pretty good but the early chapter (first 8-12ish) are really boring. The pacing is slow but the characters are likeable. The romance is also very slow and the MC and ML both seem completely oblivious to their feelings over 100 chapters in, especially the ML. The MC is smart and capable, although at times it feels like she has a support spell for everything, and it really makes you wonder about the logic of supports being ostracized.

It's worth reading the first ~30 chapters to see if you... more>> like it, they're pretty short chapters so that's only 30 minutes to an hour of reading depending on your speed. <<less

I'm balling right now. That was so good. The story is so satisfying. The only criticism may be that the level of satisfaction is somewhat unrealistic, but I don't care. I loved it.

The mysteries are good. MC is strong in her own way. The couple dynamic is great. The story is funny and heartfelt. The action is good. The supporting characters are plentiful, yet all unique and easy to remember.

One of the worst MC out there.

Up to this point, the ML kept on convincing her to join his corps but she kept on rejecting him because he was the final boss. Instead of attempting to find a way to prevent that from happening, she is seriously considering begging the person who left her to die because that person was the protagonist. Calling her a dog is an insult to dogs. She should be called an imbecile.

10/5 really if I could rate it higher, the world building is very cohesive and things mentioned offhand at the start make more sense later on as the story develops. Jun is also a smart MC but not overpowered, rather she's smart because she played the game inside out before even getting transported to the first playthrough. The villains aren't just s*upid villains but are intelligent in some ways, and its their human hubris what causes their downfall.

ML is dense and MC is even denser so it makes for a... more>> bit of comedy but thankfully it isn't dragged on too long and they actually do talk and resolve misunderstandings. ML is very jealous even when he knows he should dial it down but it's less possessive and more jealous puppy type lol.

Don't want to write more just in case I spoil it but it's a very good novel and the extras are satisfying as well, will definitely reread again in the future. <<less

Truly one of the best novels that I have ever read, so much so I had to write a review. I love RPGs, and I love when characters are reincarnated into them, so to have a female protagonist for the first time is so amazing!! It may not be for everyone, but I will defend this novel till my dying breath. If you are also a fan of the OP male action novels, you’ll like this.

For korean shojou novel it's 4.8, oh and I suggest u to look at ch 100 then search ch 1 from the translation, bcs there's 2 translation, after I saw someone who mention they're focus on clearing the dungeon well.. I reluctantly agree, bcs our MC and ML had such a setting. Workaholic MC and dungeon obsessed ml, their romance is ok.. I'm just glad that they 1vs1 although there's also some that charmed by MC.. but it not the annoying type.. they keep it around MC and ml.. for... more>> me that's what is rare for korean shojou :'' they need put pregnancy tag on it.. I thought I'm not gonna see the buns.. but they give us 3.. although it just a brief :'' idk it bcs the dungeon and ability leveling that I don't find their misunderstanding annoying (when ML keep denied that he love MC, and MC think so too) at least they keep the logic... their setting is not brainless.. they talk about their feelings.. and that.. a plus plus... <<less

As a great enjoyer of this genre, I would like to say that this novel was certainly better than what I expected. I liked the world-building, I liked most of the characters and also the story was pretty intriguing too. While I did enjoy this novel a lot as seen from my rating there were some parts were I believe could have been handled better.

-While I mostly did like the pacing of the story I have to say that it was a bit unproportioned if that makes sense. From the... more>> beginning of the story one thing that we heard all the time was the last Demon King dungeon that our couple would face at the end as expected. I would not say that it disappointed me but you know I expected more from the most anticipated dungeon of the whole novel. It could have been better fleshed out or idk maybe some more drama could be added at the end. It was too bland imo since I expected to be caught off guard in a way like the story had potential too. In 10 chapters it was over which really is too little

-I expected more from the antagonist. Idk why the author made him more s*upid than the first cycle. I feel like he was made to be too s*upid. Not even once did I think the antogonist would be a problem which is a really big problem. He just acted braindead all the time and somehow MC knew all his moves beforehand. I understand that MC is smart but it just didn't make sense at all.

-MC was too clueless for my taste. It wasn't too overboard but still sometimes I really felt like the author was deliberately trying to make the story longer by making her MarySue type.

-Ending could have been better it was meh

Now that I'm thinking storywise it was a bit lacking but in my case I rate based on my reading experience and overall feelings. I liked the story, I enjoyed it a lot so I recommend it <<less

Official translations are good. I'm thankful for the fan translations but there are times when it's difficult to understand.

Story building was great. But the FL was kind of a Mary Sue character. Understandable though since she is the MC. Plot twist was novel and unexpected ... more>>
Spoiler

the 1st play through hero got contaminated with the demon magi and has a demon core in him, he became a candidate for the demon king avatar

. Main genres would be comedy, romantic fantasy, rpg. It would have been nice if this was a little smutty since the ML and FL are in their 20s already. I was kinda waiting for them to combust lol. S*xual tension was just given a little extra story 😫. Anyway, good read but probably wouldn't read this again. 3/5 <<less

Before I begin, chapter 18 is near the end of the book because I am reading the original release, not this translation where each chapter is divided into more than 10-15 different chapters.

Now for the review. I choose a 3-star score because this is an average light novel. The only thing it excels in is selling the revenge plot, even if that starts to fall flat near the end of the book. The main problems of this novel are the following subjects:

- Main Character Growth

... more>> - Cliche/Boring Villain

- Lacking Tension

The main character does not show any character growth. Even the romance part is not that strong, at least in how it develops the involved FL and ML. This is a problem with most stories in the transmigration genre, where the MC had his character development before the first transmigration, after which their character stays the same. The only point in this novel where character growth happens and is impactful happens at the beginning, where she accepts that her relationship with the villain was abusive.

Then unto the Cliche/Boring Villain, the villain does not develop in any sort of interesting way. Except for just becoming more and more of a punching bag for the FL. This becomes boring to a point that I actually hoped the villain would succeed once just so that maybe something interesting would happen. But that never happened.

Finally, this story lacks any form of tension after the first meeting with the villain. He apparently is extremely incompetent despite being very successful in the first transmigration round. And even when he seems to be competent, his schemes get stopped by things that suddenly get revealed with no foreshadowing.
Spoiler

Like for example near the end he tries to mind control the main character, but she can resist it for some reason. I think it was supposed to be foreshadowed by that one of her abilities can transfer damage to a party member. But that is it, it is only used for transferring damage and the ability is explained as only able to transfer damage, not status effects or mind control abilities.

[collapse]

However in the end besides these points, the romance can be pretty sweet, and parts of the revenge plot can be satisfying. I think this novel is very good until the first gathering of all the different guilds and till that point is defiantly worth reading. <<less
