I’m Telling You, I’m Not the Boss Monster!

I got possessed by a Death Knight from a medieval fantasy.

In this state, I can’t fit into human society, so I holed up in a cave.

“Please spare my life! Oh, master of the dungeon!”

“Kill the boss! For the Empire!”

“Kirrik. Please accept us.”

For some reason, they seem to be mistaking me for the dungeon boss.

It's all about flirting story, I have read 40 chapters and 80% of the problems come from heroine (the witch).

The most annoying part is MC is the one who pushes heroine to become a victim in various chaotic events.

Spoiler

There was an incident where the demon lord meeting. The MC insisted on letting the human heroine go with him, which caused many unnecessary chaotic events that almost kill the MC

The heroine had no need to go at all. Even the meeting ended, I didn't see the heroine help in any way except standing still.

[collapse]

There are many times when the MC chooses a foolish risky path, but he terrified and confused by his own choices. It’s like MC choose to step on sh*t but confused why his feet stink <<less

Solid read early on, but the premise is a bit silly. Typical misunderstanding narrative with a game bug / life hack.

Long story short, MC ends up as a mid level monster in a game, and because of how he appeared and the timing of when he showed up, everyone thinks he's a big shot. Things get out of hand and accelerate to the point where MC thinks it's easier to wear the identity than escape. Add on his absolute game knowledge and his weird abilities, the MC has a fair... more>> shot of surviving.

Too early for me to have a strong opinion, but the story is pretty expository and everyone acts pretty 2-d. The MC isn't super interesting, but his powers seem to be game breaking or more accurately, bug abusing.

Based off of what I read, I doubt the author has the ability to make the story anything beyond generic compared to any other monster/dungeon story. I personally would recommend brain off while reading.

Something to read while you look for something better. 3/5. <<less

I am not that far into this, but I am stopping here, because author already showed everything I need to know about the story, so I dont see point reading any futher, confirmed by other reviews. Unless you're into comedic stereotype thing where bland, generic MC does nothing and stuff just happens to work out in the end for comedic reasons, then honestly I can't see any reason to read this.

Premise itself is interesting, but that's where it falls short first. MC is supposed to be pro, and he shows... more>> some knowelidge from the game, but fails to act upon it and essentialy becomes NPC character in his own story in the first few chapters. Where other stories focus on overcoming precarious situation, here this "pro gamer" basicaly gets draged into situations, withouth any solid plan or skill to get better, and no ambition beyond survival. Honestly side characters make me more interested in them and they are as shallow as you can imagine them to be in this kind of story. <<less
