I pick up on the latest chapters and read this every time I have a bad day... it's honestly so relaxing and like an asmr! Even though I usually get hungry at the mention of food, there's lots of cute fluffy animals and coddling so it just feels very very nice and healing for me! If you're someone who just wants to have a chill, relax, 'here to have a good time' kind of story - this ones for you

It's not a bad novel I could rate it higher but I am just bored to tears and the premise that attracted me to it was thrown completely out the window. What use is being a zookeeper if you stopped trying to take care of the animals like one. He cared about their diets all of two seconds before feeding them cheese, soy sauce, hot pot, spices I know aren't animal safe. He does mention moderation of the safe foods, but in that same breath mixing with not safe ingredients... more>> like alcohol. I was hoping to see him correct child rearing/diets/g*ooming problems with his zoo knowledge but other than fixing the pointy brushes to dull and make his own shampoo but with little detail compared to the food, he hasn't really done that. But also why do animals who have made such advanced technology not realize that the problem isn't just rough handling but also the tools they use are too painful. Even my dogs at their current intelligence know pain management (they will cry and be unhappy with pain and not tolerate it, helping correct the issue). They can develop tools to say when food is safe but not realize that the cooking methods for humans aren't the same for animals. I also remembered their are some species that never evolved and instead stay closer to their original form/intelligence so they should be aware of how they eat and care for themselves without human tool right?? I am digging pits in my brain trying to ignore logic 😭

There's no games for the baby animals to learn how to take care of themselves, I liked watch that type of zoo content it's cute to see the babies playing with the toys but secretly learning how to hunt/track/hide themselves. But MC takes care of everything in it, the descriptions feel like they'd be a good asmr or a food show but it gets old real quick. My eyes just glaze over after reading a block of cooking instructions, I speed through it. Author can spend so much time describing cooking process yet the most they do for the raising part if baths and naps. Even when they went to play it was walking around for a bit then restaurant to show off MCs skills. Is the zookeeper background even essential? Was it to set him apart from similar novels, because in the end you abandoned that premise and he became like everyone else

i know it's supposed to be 100% fluff and little drama but then it feels like it's too easy. Everyone likes MCs food, they overcome their prejudices against humans because of him yet we haven't seen any other human characters brought up (at least to the point I've read) who aren't described as in a poor manner, humans are only seen as boogeyman and wicked creatures, let alone a decent human being who was just being discriminated against. MC having a soothing scent and good food skills are carrying him so far. There's little romance so far, it's just ML being a possessive child and MC being oblivious. The most drama that happened is ML trying to dote on MC but failing because MC misunderstanding and believes him to be a child (ether it's his sweet baby cub or rebellious human form) and that everything has a price. Honestly the more I read the more embarrassed I am of the ML he's literally jealous and bullying children, sure one is temporarily amnesia/regressed adult stuck in an unstable child form and the other is super intelligent but is actually a child. Like you're a grown man why are you beefing with children 😭 you act like a kid all the time to get MCs attention yet seem confused why he has little affection for your human form. You guys barely interact in human form. Why would he suddenly get feelings for you when you don't interact. Ahhh I am struggle to continue I might take a break and read something more thrilling. <<less

Three stars for excellent translation quality. The synopsis doesn't really reflect the story at all. Even if it's supposed to be fluff, this is not a zookeeper. It's a cook. His knowledge of animals seems to be extremely poor, and 90% of the material can't even be regarded as 'fluff'. It's just constant, repetitive descriptions of food, then his 'audience' gushing about the food, then more food, with frequent assurances that even though it sounds greasy, 'it's not greasy at all'. It does mention that salt is bad for most... more>> animals, but then he keeps adding salt to everything. The food isn't even tailored to the animal species after one meal at the beginning, it seems to be whatever the author thought sounded good. At the start, there were a few mentions of how dietary needs for different species needed improvement, but after that the idea was completely discarded and only dishes suitable for a human digestive tract are made. Honestly, I was looking forward to a mild, fluffy novel, with a zookeeper taking care of various species, like the synopsis suggested. This is just a cooking novel. The supposedly intelligent, evolved animals are immaterial to the story other than as an obligatory 'cute' factor. However, the translation quality IS excellent, and deserves recognition, even if the material that was translated ended up being a disappointment. <<less

This story is About Love... Familial Love... Pure Love... Unconditional Love... Everlasting Love... Loving and Being Loved. It's Pure and Precious. I don't trust people who rate this Novel under 3 stars AFTER THEY ALREADY FINSIH THE FULL STORY!!!

It's very Fluffy Comfortable Refreshing Novel in the first 40 chapters of the story. Our MC shows the world how to make delicious food, but also how to give a Pleasing Comfortable g*ooming. How the author wrote the feeling and the characters' reacton makes you wanna be as comfortable... more>> as them. The feeling are sooo Nice. It's still mostly about foods though.

Most part of this Novel is Food and Family feels. The Lovely kind~!

For the Romance, it's Slow Romance but consistent. Everytime ML is Human Form and interact with MC, he always take a new step of Intimacy between him and MC. ALWAYS

Honestly, this Novel is just Beyond any Expectations. It was Fluff, and then they went deep but without make it odd and off. Like the hints of Zerg problem and ML's background setting was already mentioned bit by bit few times. So the Author did Absolutely Great job with the Flows of the story! Top Notch!

Also.... I didn't expect this novel would make me cry. Literally tears falling from my eyes.

Considering that I am now rereading this, which is something that I almost never do. I figured I’d give a review.

If you are here for anything other than pure feel-good fluff, go board another train. There’s a few other daily-life/cub-raising/cooking etc stories out there, and they’re great, but imo this is the best one. I’m sure the original language is also beautiful, but because I’m an English speaking heathen I will go ahead and give all the kudos to Addis, the translator, and Sulo, the editor. Jiayou.

The pacing and flow... more>> of the story is really great. It’s very slow-paced, no lie, but instead of being exhausting it’s kind of like taking a really nice walk. You know where you’re going to end up, but you’re in no rush to get there. If there’s another way I can describe this, well, I’m too lazy to go to thesaurus. Com ¯\_ (ツ) _/¯. My occupational degree is in couch sports, not word-smithing.

Is it cliche? Absolutely. Does it win trope-bingo? Winner winner kung-pao chicken dinner.

Honestly? I was looking for fluff and I got fluff which is great and I loved it but the ML personality is a bit iffy for me.

I know I know its cute to see him get all possessive and things but it gets annoying when he is constantly pushing and bullying the other BABIES WITH THE LITERAL MENTALITY OF A 3 YEAR OLD I mean sure the babies were actually adults but im pretty sure they lost their memory and saw MC as a surrogate parent.

Another thing that irritates me... more>> a little is the many MANY illogical things that is in the story.

I get it. Its meant to be pure fluff and I should just turn off my brain and read it. I'm not even a person who normally notices plot holes, even big gaping ones, honestly this is one of the few things I managed to find a plot hole.

The fact that they have synthetic chicken, beef etc is slightly weird. Do the chicken and cows etc have mental strength or are they just normal animals.

Secondly I was really upset when half way it just stops being about taking care of animals and more about food, food and more food. Sure I guess he still bathes and combs the little darlings but he might as well be a chef who has a pet in his past life. What normal person has so much knowledge about food from ramen to Sichuan fish. Even a chef might not know so much.

Also the animals turned half human are just really dumb? Sharp combs hurting amd ripping out your fur? Oh just ignore it, its been that way since the war and NO ONE knows the reason why our skin feels like its being scratch by needles by sharp and densly packed combs.

And everyone seem to hail the MC as the savior and hero no matter who or where. Super serious and focus academy? There, a scene of every single person in the academy praising and practically kneeling at MC's feet. Plenty of racists (who should not be support btw) hating on MC and wanting to go to his stream to make trouble? Well too bad once they enter they immediately got attracted to MC and forgot all about racism (which again is wrong but comon no one changes their views so fast). Person tried to buy water army and slander the MC? Ah look how helpful that has been to bring thousands of audiences to MCs stream without MC having to do damage control or anything.

Also MC is just such a natural relaxer to animals (citizens) . All and any animals (citizens) love him immediately and any health problems like insomnia gets immediately cured by MC. Hell, even the praised and high ranked panda family used to be MCs companions who has been looking for their human (MC) for generations and generations without a single dissatisfaction. All and any food is immediately praised by the audience and everyone loves it no matter if you hate tofu or lettuce or lemons.

Also ML can and will change people's memory to satisfy his 'possessive nature' *read as wanting to lock MC in a dark box* it just feels so.... dodgy. And constantly staying near MC letting him think that ML is a baby thus leading to some very uncomfortable scenes. Adding on to the face ML gave MC a permanent tattoo that basically engraves MC with the 'you are mine forever because no one will dare to chase you after seeing the royal family tattoo on you' without MC knowing

All in all despite looking for fluff I found a very fluffy story with too many plot holes to count that constantly distract me from the thing I was looking for and a very weird ML that I do not support. But the author did say it was pure fluff soo I guess it did achieve its purpose somewhat <<less

This novel is nothing but fluff I tell you. Basically, 80% of this novel is about the MC cooking food, 15% is about the MC taking care of the cubs, and 5% is about other stuff. To be honest, this novel made me feel hungry and crave lots of food. It's a good read if you wanted to read something fluffy and heartwarming, beware of feeling hungry though.

it's boring but not because of the genre, the writing is just meh. You know those anime beach filler episodes? Yeah but instead of going to the beach they're just cooking. 5% plot, 95% fluff. Very light and casual read, pretty enjoyable but not engaging enough. Soooo repetitive I was tempted to drop this. Author kept recycling the same words to describe everything (GYM's cooking, the food's taste, the live viewers, GYM's vibes/aura, the cubs, basically everything) that every chapter felt like a template of GYM starts livestream > descriptions of how the number of viewers leaped like crazy > GYM starts cooking > the cubs tastes it > viewers went crazy and leaped again > the freaking long food descriptions > GYM's stream charting in today hot list whatever the name is. 103 chapter for main story seems a bit too much, could've finished this with less than 80. To be very honest, when I reached the end I thought 'thank, god. Finally!!!'

It was a relaxing read, but not really my bowl of food (yes, not a cup of tea). Every chapter, and I mean EVERY chapter is all about cooking with little to no plot. It got to the point that I took a break from this because it bored me and it made me impatient. I read CRA before this and I was on the cub spree reading and my expectations of this novel left me a little disappointed. It was fluff, true. It was cute, yes. And if this... more>> is your bowl of food, It's a god recommendation for you.

It's written nicely, translation is good too. But not for reader who prefers a good plot and plot progression, well-developed characters and thrill. Just a warning though, although this is a light read, it can be a bit boring and tiring. <<less

omg I cannot deal with this one. I should like it because cubs?? Cute. Food?? It was just too much food descriptions. Dont even get me started on the excessive mention of the number of viewers or whatever.. Yes he's popular af. We get it. No need to mention it every fckng time

what made me drop this though is im more than halfway through and the MC and ML relationship just feels too forced. There is no chemistry between them. And like its been months or days (i dont quite... more>> remember) but ML still has not revealed his identity?? He just feels like a stalker that appears out of nowhere. It honestly creeps me out.

also MC's relaxing vibe might have translated a little too well on text because I get sleepy whenever I force myself to finish this one.

Makes the world dumb to make the MC seem amazing.

Also very mary sue, wouldn't be a problem if MC didnt steamroll everything and the the praise/peanut gallery/reactions werent so uninspired.

Everyone somehow enjoys every single thing he makes. Like ffing mutton. Like what about the other non carnivorous beasts? Did they enjoy that too?

Apparently MC is a genius or again everyone is dumb because they all havent gotten to the point of boiling or barbequeing (literally the two more primitive ways of cooking). But then author goes back on it again... more>> and they apprently know how to cook its just that it wasnt co venient back then or how else could author inflate the useless plot. <<less

How to put it... its so slice of life that its boring. There's no excitement to be read and even the slice of life part isn't that good to keep me stay. It's dull and unexciting.

MC is a white lotus and a bit of a gary sue, ML is your clichéd possessive domineering ceo but make it an intergalactic emperor. He's kinda meh and weird, creep even.

Everything is like an ego booster for MC, his cooking wow, his livestream WOW, his presence even more wow! It's kinda tiring to see... more>> it happen again and again.

And the chapters are so long and kinda meh I was surprised I was only 40 something chapters in. Idk if its gonna change foe the better but ion care enough to continue <<less

Indeed if comparing this novel to others, can be say the plot is well not much? But! I still love this.

It's heartwarming, beautiful too. (I like the confession part the most!)

There is a lot of point where we can say why they dont even know this and that.

... more>> But, just remember even tho the animal have human intelligent (?) They are still animals, so... ㅎㅅㅎ

Anyway, when you are having a hard day or just when to relax, I recommended this novel!

I mean, you can skip the part you feel that it was too weird or uncomfortable, just skimp (?) if you want.

But really I feel this novel heal me from stress. The reunion with the panda especially make me cry so much. UwU.

if you're looking for fluff and food then this is perfect for you! I can see why other people might not like this because most of the story really is about cooking which is okay for me. This is also very relaxing to read and will just make your heart warm throughout the story.

my recommendation is for you to read this while you are also reading an angsty novel, like if you're tired of the angst, read some chapters of this story to feel better so that you can enjoy... more>> this story the most 🥰 <<less

This novel was difficult to rate as the writing style, writing quality and feels differs for different part of the story. In short, it was great at the beginning till the middle then it became draggy, but it picked up again near 3/4 of the story and the ending. Especially the Extras were full of fluff and romance and were super satisfying.

So, I recommend to only read the reviews of readers that has finished the novel.

Premise: MC is one of the last humans. They are discriminated as a result of... more>> an (r) evolutionary fight between humans and animals. Thousand years ago the animals gained awakeness and special abilities and they fought the humans. However, as soon as the animals see MC they are inexplicably drawn too MC. They all want to touch him and be close too him. MC becomes instantly popular when he starts his live broadcast after transmigration in order to make money.

The beginning was full of 'ASMR to the extreme' kind of live streaming scenes. I liked it a lot. It made me mellow and relaxed too! Then it turned slowly but certainly towards cooking broadcasts. Author didn't give a reason why MC is such a great cook (he was a zookeeper in past life). Also, the food that was prepared was more Chinese gourmet food instead of the partly raw food more suitable for animals. At the beginning MC got famous because he understood that the human diet was less suitable for the advanced animals in this interstellar world, but apparently later on the author totally forgot about this fact and just went for normal Chinese cuisine.

That is one of my main complaint. There are inconsistencies in this novel. A few times the author seemed to abandon a few of the explanations and rules she set up in the beginning. I hate sloppy novels and the world building just suffers.

Another thing I didn't like was that it became too detailed/messy and draggy somewhere over the middle. The whole trip to the amusement park was really too elaborate. I skimmed many of these parts and sometimes missed a few plot points. The descriptions of the cooking process I skimmed too, but that was not too annoying. Because the cooking parts are clearly set apart and you won't miss any plot if you skim.

Why I still liked the story and binged it?

1. The cubs are super adorable. The descriptions were cute and good

2. Especially in the beginning the ASMR like descriptions calmed me down too

3. The whole live broadcasting concept was very good. Usually, I can't handle if showbizz novels focus too much on netizens, but in these interstellar novels where the whole live broadcasting concept is so more advanced (allows viewers to taste and feel everything the broadcasters can feel too) is much more entertaining. All the viewers/netizens together feel like 1 side character.

4. The romance only really blooms towards the end, but it was really fluffly. Especially the Extras were super great! In the Extras they get married etc witnessed by the whole Empire.

5. The loyalty of the Pandas!!! Gosh... that story broke my heart! I couldn't stop bawling my eyes out when

they reunited! They waited thousands of years for their 'human ancestor' to come back. And the pandas carried on the legacy of the first 3 pandas that MC took care of and never stopped searching for MC. The video messages that the first 3 pandas left for MC.... so touching!! I cried together with MC. They couldn't wait thousands of years for MC but made sure their children and kids never forgot MC.

It's a good novel but there are so many cooking parts that it gets boring (2/3 of the novel is cooking), so I fell asleep several times without wanting to. 😊😔😴

The novel becomes much more interesting (at least for me) from the days of the wonderful amusement park Utopia (from Chapter 62) because let's be honest we would all like so much that this incredible amusement park actually exists. Go ! I want to go so badly that I want to cry! 😍🤩😭

And of course, the novel also becomes very interesting when (we all waited so much for this moment) Gu YuMian discovers all the secrets and lies hidden around him (from the end of Chapter 81) ! 🤫🤥😉

I cried like a baby when he saw how the pandas kept thinking about him and desperately waiting for him even after several centuries! 😭
Especially when he sees the videos they recorded to tell him all the events that happened in their family so that he is not lost when he is back. I feel so sad that he arrived a few hundred years late and could not see them, he can only see their descendants who were waiting for him with great impatience! 🥺😭

Speaking of the pandas, I would have loved to see Gu YuMian's shocked face so much seeing all the tons of tea the pandas bought just because they knew he liked it. Unfortunately, we won't talk about it again, it's sad, I think it would have been so much fun! 😕😂

I love Shuo Han! I want to marry him! He's just so perfect, contrary to what people think! 😍🥰
I love the way he shows his baby leopard belly to Gu YuMian when he needs to be forgiven, and at night when Gu YuMian dreams he is touching his plush belly as he touches his abs in reality and that Shuo Han must refrain from jumping on him! 🤤😳😏😂
And the way he prepares everything for their wedding as a girl because he wants everything to be perfect! 🥰😅
He even dresses Gu YuMian himself for their wedding day because he exhausted him too much during the night! 🥰😅😂😏
And we talk about the cutest way that Shuo Han scares everyone and intimidates them so that people stay away from his lover and not sting him! 😍🥰😅😂

Shuo Han's past is so sad (but I didn't cry, victory!) ! 😢 His parents are really big sons of b*tches! Especially his mother, that f*cking b*tch! 😡🤬 I want to take him in my arms to comfort him! 😭🥰😘

I would have liked so much that Shuo Han actually bought the Earth to give it to Gu YuMian but since we are not talking about it, I guess he did not, too bad. 😍🙁
Also, I find it strange that Gu YuMian never asked to go to China. In his place, I would have liked to return to where I lived to remember the good memories, even if it would have been completely destroyed because of the war. 🤔😇

So overall the story is really cute and fluffy (after all, as the author says, you shouldn't read for the plot but for the fluff) just a little boring for the first 60 chapters because it it is almost only cooking, afterwards there is always but less and less. 🥰😇🙃

So, I put 4/5 but it's more like 3.75/4! 🤔😅🥰

So I really recommend this novel if you like cuteness, fluff and cooking! 🥰

A 5.5/10. To be honest, I did really enjoy this novel at first, and it's really cute, but it got a little too repetitive that I skipped to the end in the middle of reading this. I did continue from where I left off and finished this, but I probably would have dropped this if I didn't skip to the ending.

The novel was cute, it wasn't really bad - besides the pace and repetition. The ML wasn't bad (and learned to respect the MC and give him space after making... more>> a mistake), the romance wasn't horrible, and I enjoyed reading it. The pace and plot was, however, not that good. I'm fine with a slow pace, but almost every chapter, it's MC plays with the cubs, he cooks a dish, breaks a live record, every is in awe with the MC, then repeat. The plot was quite cliché as well. I've already read like 3 "Cooking broadcaster goes famous by cooking amazing dishes then somehow helps the military to defeat a flying bug invasion species by cooking the bugs. Then the cooking broadcaster somehow ends up with the most handsome man in the galaxy. The End." novels. Absolutely no creativity, but it's still in the normal part to read, not in the bad part. The "teach me to love and be loved" felt a bit forced though, and was confusing and awkward to me instead of giving me the feels.

In conclusion, this isn't a horrible novel, and it's quite fluffy. However, the pace is really slow and repetitive, the plot is also not really original. I'd only recommend this to those who have no problem with a repetitive plot and slow pace. Sorry for the bad English and have a nice day. <<less

I tried. I really did. But it was a repetitive dive into cooking, then baby spoiling, then a little drama. I guess what made it an uncomfortable read over all was that these cubs were adult men. ADULT acting all cute coz they're powerless against the great, almighty MC. I came here after reading Live Broadcasting Raising Dragons in the Interstellar and I hoped to read something a bit similar. Heck, I was even excited coz apparently, MC is a zookeeper. I literally only recall 1... more>> instance of him showing his profession by being mindful of animal diet. ONLY at the first part of the novel, mind you.

Oh, but, here's what nagged me the most:

Civilization is so advanced yet these beings don't know culinary 101 that would be good for them? BULLSHIT. They were animals. Animals hunted for their food. It's instinctual. They shy away from what's bad for them and they gravitate towards what's good for them. At least they grow up like so. AND YET... they seem to be idiots and don't know bad diet from good. Really!? They have space shuttles, holographic live streams, and yet they can't groom themselves??? So, I guess if there was a chinchilla citizen, he wouldn't know to roll on ash to clean themselves???? Ridiculous.

No plot. None that showed effort from the author's part anyway. I may sound harsh but the characterizations were lazy and nothing about the cubs were cute owing to the fact that they were ADULTS. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who thinks so.

But, hey... translation quality is 5/5. No complaints on that end. Read if you don't want to think. It's not something that is binge-worthy though. Repetitive displays of MC's OPness can get tiring after a while. <<less

If you want brainless fluff and food, then this is for you. I mainly dropped it since it was getting repetitive, about the warm atmosphere that the MC makes, how everyone falls in love when he smiles, and how in just a few seconds millions of fans join his broadcast room. The ML made a human appearance like twice and the romance is probably in the last 20 or so chapters. There isn't really any plot after the first 50 chapters, but it's a good read if you just want... more>> something light. <<less
