This novel is very interesting, the beginning of the novel I would not even call it mediocre it's most definitely a level below that but the novel is entertaining nonetheless, after reading Reverend Insanity I needed a mental reset, something more natal, the original cultivation novel feeling with c*cky young masters, a flirtatious righteous MC that can see no evil with harem, a cultivation system closer to home. This novel will definitely satisfy your golden-tooth, it's solid popcorn.

As the novel progresses, so does the author's writing skill, the novel levels... more>> up from subpar to mediocre level, eventually reaching the average level and then finally the above average level. This is your typical unyielding righteous MC novel, if you enjoy novels like NSHBA, CSG, MGA, ESK, etc. You will also enjoy this novel. While this novel is very long you shouldn't really look too deep into it, I'm barely a tenth of the way but the time spent was definitely worth it, I had my fun. Would I recommend this novel to someone else? Not really. I think there are dozens other novels that would be better to read than IDEA but if you are in my situation where you basically read everything then this novel could be for you.

The author greatest skill is his ability to write descriptive fights, the fights are immersive and quite well detailed, if you like reading novels for fighting scenes this novel might just be for you.

The novel greatest con is the fact the MC does engage in rapping, I know, the greatest taboo in cultivation novels, if you don't like that sort of stuff then don't even start the novel, Lin Feng has a long-standing rapping career with many records. (Seriously, if you are severely against rap* don't read this novel, cause he will never stop, he only does this to enemies who tried to kill him but it's still something people can't forgive.) Also the author has some very 'interesting' opinions when it comes to the women mind and how they act, so take this with a grain of salt.

This novel is actually pretty damn solid once you start to really progress through it, I have to say that the plot is really good, the plot is very mysterious and creepy, it gives you unsettling vibes, there are great occasional side-characters that deepen the plot/lore of the series. The pacing is still great 3000 chapters in, for a 10K chapter novel you would think the pacing is atrocious but it's actually quite solid 200-300 chapters per major realm, I would say that's standard. The novel doesn't feel stretched out as of yet, nothing of major annoyance has happened yet that would cause me to drop or to read with disgust. I like how the novel is progressing, it has been pretty entertaining so far. The author sometimes leaves out hints, passages of history of lore, these are foreshadowings for later events, hints or information on his ancestry, they are pretty straightforward I think everyone above the age of 12 will be able to put 2+2 together to realize what's happening. The author writing skill is not to the level where it got me scratching my head trying to figure out the plot with the little bits we get, he's being mysterious but it's still pretty straight into my face, so that's nice. I will have to say that this novel has impressed me, even though the novel is so long it has never annoyed me, it managed to keep me entertained, while the novel is repetitive, every cultivation novel becomes repetitive at one point, the novel also maintains a fast pace after the 4-5k chapter mark, which is also where the novel really starts. One of the best aspects about this series is the fact the MC has been building his own forces throughout the Universe, most MCs are ready to face the enemy by themselves but Lin Feng created his own force.

I will continue to update this review as I progress through the novel, I plan on reading it till the end, so until next time fellow daoists <<less
