The story is like, you were promised an apple but ended up getting pineapple.

It would be fine if MC was from an youngster with hot-blooded rashness. But the pre-resume of being a top class botanist whos seen everything of business, kinda doesn't fit the persona.

Just saying " he was the best in xxx, experienced xxx so how can this small xxx matter" won't justify, or express mc's smartness. Its his actions.

Well so yeah, basically it's just another CN novel, with overdose masochism, narcissism, sexism, npc characters. <<less

Aah, what could have been, if only the author cared just a little? I loved this novel, I really did. Despite all the repetition, stunted antagonists, and the worst ending ever imagined I still rate this novel highly.

The cultivation system is traditional and never-ending, As soon as you think that he reached the top then he starts all over again. The alchemy and crafting are what sets this novel apart, there is a lot of creativity in the components and methodology. The love story is abysmal, but that's expected in these types of novels. His Dao is unique and I loved the introspective nature of it, I wish they expanded more on Dao comprehension and less on the latest enemy cultivators who keep popping up out of nowhere.

These piece of sh*t MC is awesome he keeps piling up enemies everywhere and even vow that he will destroy them! He just keeps saying he will destroy them but cant do anything? What kind of novel is this he even made 3 powerful sects his enemy even when he still dont know how to cultivate! Whats the use of modern knowledge if its usless in the other world? (Imagine very loyal 15 year old girl his servant she do all the work for MC and she is so malnourish and even eat black bread that has even mold and stinks so bad and she only bite it once and keep it under her bed while the MC ate rice! Then she goes to work for the MC. But then 2 immortals showed interest to her and force her to take a test to know her talent after they see it they kidnapped her and the MC starts cursing and will get revenge! And skipps to after 8 months hurrah! We see her on another country streets and got deranged and just keeps mumbling.. Her talent that was a super rare genius was transfer to others and she only has 3 years to live then she was sold to the s*avery! Good thing someone attack the s*avery so she miracoulosly escaped and then there she was found on the street! After the MC sees her he again keeps cursing he will get revenge! He now has 3 big enimies his own empire, the one who kidnapped the girl one of the strongest sect, and the one who wiped his friend family, which he said he will take revenge for them!!!! But the problem is that the MC dont even know how to cultivate and his alchemy is usless on the other world!!! What the f*ck is the author doing?) <<less

Very frustrating. While the story is interesting and engaging enough to keep the reader curious where the plot is heading, the author is bullshitting and very forgetful throughout the entire novel. Details practically do not matter and cannot be relied on. Basically every bad trope or narrative technique of this genre plays a role here.

The main reason I stopped reading were the antagonists the author was keeping alive for no well-argued basis and allowing them to progress through nonsensical means.

But I can say.. This story is really refreshing at the start because it really different from other story that has the same theme. But..

The MC keep piling up all the problem like grudge. Responsibility. But 1 for sure each time MC go somewhere else where he say he will come back letter.. Trust me.. It take like forever..

the novel seems good at first a hundred chapters.

However after that, it is full of plot holes and inconsistencies, especially on universal human relationships.

For example, that plot of him being illogically the leader and getting number one scor with his measly power. Power is everything in a cultivation world! How could people just let their leaders be some kiddo who speak a few fancy words and everyone is like "Ahh! Yeahh! Be our city leader!

... more>> Such a sh*t plot.

These kind of plot holes make me feel like being drowned, my brain feels like exploding. (Same feeling with warlock of magus shit-novel.)

I like the other work of the same author, strongest abandoned son. However, this novel is much worser. <<less

Just finished reading. Overall story is good but Romance is badly written. Author should have written a couple of chapter to finish the story, I feel like I am missing 2-3 chapters after reading it.

There are many characters that didn't get a proper closure like his sect members in zhen xing and immortal world

friends from half-immortal domain.

I loved this story. Spent a lot of time and money reading it. It was not worth that time and money with such a lousy, abrupt ending. However, the story progression itself was enjoyable and the MC was likeable. If only the author simply created an epilogue worthy of the character and his development. Thank you for the journey, despite such a lack-luster finish!

PS: Would have given this a 5 star review if only it had a decent ending

All I can say is the novel has a great story line, it has less fillers but the end of the story was utterly disappointing. So if you guys want to read this, just be ready to get f*cked by the author in the end. For you to not be disappointed, although you will still be disappointed. Hahahaha!

Incredibly stubborn MC that's never honest with anyone. It starts out like any other generic novel of the same genre. While it have some interesting happenings in some different story arcs, the over all story is what it is. A complete recycle every time. Romantic interests magically disappears and only serve as a reminder once in a blue moon to remind the reader that the MC is in fact not gay.

Author lacks imagination and should keep in mind that just because something is "high ranking whatever" (cultivation, ingredient, treassure) it... more>> does not in fact describe why, how nor looks. <<less

It started off pretty well, but the dumbest plot armor keeps being added. Like how he managed to get a lot of points in killing alien cultivators, and then every cultivator voted him to be the leader of every organization because of his bravery, even though there's tons of people more powerful than him. In every arc, the people around him act either ret*rded or unrealistic.

I find this novel interesting because I felt the same way when I read Coiling Dragon and I Shall Seal The Heavens.

Although for me, the pacing of the story is a bit slow, it is still tolerable. Moreover, I realize that things happen in order to strengthen not only his cultivation, but also Wuji's character and as I see it, Wuji will sooner or later on rule over the Immortal World and Very High Heavens.

Eventhough I feel like the story is going that way, I am not entirely sure so... more>> I keep myself updated with the translated chapters.

DID Mo Wuji's research really get stolen and his enemies happily profit from his death?

I am really disturbed that the MC fruits of labor was stolen just like that. I think its a great injustice to the MC that his enemies profit from his demise with no bad karma whatsoever.

I Really really want to know what... more>> happened to that world after he died. Right now I am imagining that those plotters who schemed his death back on earth get retribution for their actions. I really wish that all his research mysteriously disappear or gets destroyed from some freak accident from that world and his ex-lover gets nothing. I really want to see them regret killing the MC. I WISH FOR JUSTICE! =).

The reunion between Mo Wuji and Xiao Ruoyin ended on a rather flat note. The atmosphere was like the end of a long race. Like the author didn't want to invest any emotional feeling and just wanted to get the conclusion between them done and over with. Xiao Ruoyin worked so hard and in the end just got swatted like a bug. = (

I kind of thought the ending was too hastily done. There were a lot of loose ends about the females around him and if he is still adamant on having a one man one woman couple. It's clearly hinted that he has some feelings towards some of the other females he meets along the way but he won't accept them because of stubbornness? And a sense of owing the female who sacrifice her very life to rescue him.

He actually had s*x with another women other than his procliam wife (Cen Shuyin) because he was afraid the female would kill herself if he didn't? How is he going to explain that to Cen Shuyin? If he broke his principal and already coupled with one or two females then he should as well also accept Jiyi also. She almost died trying to protect him too. Same as Cen Shuyin and Qu yu.

What a great journey!

This is actually great novel. Even though many people rated this novel as 1 star they probably only read less than a hundred chapter. The pacing at the start is slow, I believe that it is rather great that way so those people who have no patience would miss out on something good.

It's just that I read a lot of great novels, Immortal Mortal can also be considered as great but just like any other great novels the ending is always tr*sh. Nevertheless it doesn't affect the... more>> quality of the story, like any other novel it will just make you crave for more. <<less

I'd say it's relatively generic where it's an enjoyable read and nothing terrible happens although probably around 3.5/5 to 4/5 is a fair rating. It's usual xianxia where MC is overpowered at his level and somehow gets a whole series of overpowered items that drop into his lap. So if you want people gaining cultivation levels, flexing their might etc then this will appeal

I think the big problem is that a lot of side characters literally disappear from the plot and then randomly reappear later without being fleshed out. So... more>> it's almost as if they no longer exist when author no longer needs then and then when author remembers them they reappear and a whole backstory that should have been slowly introduced is dumped in 1 chapter before MC punishes or rewards them based on that backstory. This does mean that other than MC all characters are undeveloped so story lacks depth

The ending is also pretty much open ended and the harem is pretty much a subplot with it all being platonic at best. <<less

Really good novel where there is no handholding of any kind. There is no system, no OP object helping MC, no OP grandpa in spirit form. This novel is full of all the choices that MC makes that propel him to highest of heights. The reason I really like this novel is because at certain part in novel the MC realizes that he was on wrong path so he decided to start again which rarely happens in most cultivation novels.

This is the best story in the world. Ignore the bad reviews, they clearly didn't read past chapter 5. The author used that cliche to get rid of all early baggage in order to make a perfect novel. Those other reviewers would want mo wuji to protect and jump 40 realms to battle in order to save his servant. I hate stories like that. Mo wuji never takes the moral high ground or tries to make excuses for things he will do. Also the top review made a mistake because... more>> the young master mo wuji is from a non cultivating family. How could they look at someone and tell what their spirit roots are? All the more reason why she was discovered immediately after breaking free. This is the perfect novel. I've read it twice already and it gets better and better each time. <<less

was really good, then chapters 250 and on, the translation just goes to shit. The wording and grammer just screws the whole story, just like legend of futian, like did they just give up on translating, or adding the's, anytime they stop adding 'the' before the title of either a gate, or sect, or level, you know the translation is going to shit. And whenever I hear the damn word 'big bully' or 'big demon' instead of greater demon, what the sh*t is big bully/demon, f*ck, hate stories that just... more>> give up like that <<less
