Those chosen by imitation holy swords are called holy swordsmen, trained in the arts of war and the blade at the Legendia Holy Sword Academy, the largest institution in the seven kingdoms, located in the Trabilia Kingdom.

Once, there was a legendary holy swordsman known as the Holy Sword King, Edward Tira Yule. Among his descendants was a boy named Roy… who possessed no talent for the sword whatsoever, not even capable of a proper swing—a hopeless failure.

Yet, Roy refused to give up. For the sake of his childhood friend, Eleanor, with whom he vowed to become a holy swordsman together. But—Roy remained a failure. He kept losing even to Eleanor, who started training later than him, and his father never stopped calling him “useless.”

Still unable to abandon his dream of becoming a holy swordsman… he participates in the annual Holy Sword Selection Ceremony.

Here, he would obtain an imitation holy sword suited to him. If he could just get a holy sword, he could become a holy swordsman.

But at the ceremony… what Roy obtained was a crude wooden sword.
