Tao Ling’s surname is Tao, and therefore he loves to escape. However, there is nowhere to escape in life, including dreamland—until he stumbles upon a young florist.

The name of the young man is Wen Qingying. He can neither speak nor hear.

As such, Tao Ling would come around the flower shop every day to chit-chat as much as he pleased. Then one day, the young man suddenly spoke, “I’ve caught you red-handed many times.”

Tao Ling: “???”

Wen Qingying: “I won’t expose you as long as you come home with me.”

Tao Ling: “!!!”

Note: Tao Ling’s surname, Tao(陶tao2) sounds the same as “escape” in Chinese.

Not going to rate seeing as there is not enough chapters to do so but will say that I'm rather liking these mature characters, one of which seems to be suffering from some very real feelings of depression. Just based off what we already have I would not suggest this novel if you are younger or just looking for some fluff. Would suggest if you have struggled in life and are open to imperfect souls and reading about them. Welp that's all I can say for now. Don't be scared... more>> off by the two raters giving it a 1 and 2 without bothering to explain why with only 4 chapters down. Anytime I see that kind of rating on a new novel that's well translated I think it safe to assumes a homophobe accidently wandered in and rated badly after figuring out the novel was yaoi. <<less

Couldn't find the last chapter to MTL, so had to stop at 59.

This novel was good. The translation so far is great, so thank you!

The first half of the story was nice, with a slice of life kind of vibe where they simply build their relationship slowly. It was slightly angsty for me (I tend to be extremely emphatetic so it's painful :')) as ... more>>

I did enjoy the slow life theme it had initially, but then there came some drama.

Thankfully not petty misunderstandings between our mains, instead it's our ML's family. Who, somehow, unfortunately gets involved...

In short, it's a lovely story with great intellectual discussions on, Daoism, I suppose? It gave me great, real insights in religion. Would very much recommend it for those looking for a story with a sweet florist ML, and a cold-faced MC (with some sprinkle of dog blood) _ (:3 」∠) _ <<less

The romance was 4.5. The plot was 3 max. The potential was 5. The execution was 2.5. My personal experience was 2. The romance, chemistry, and emotional relationship are written extremely well. However, the bs of everyone around them (aka how the author decided to direct the other chars and story) IS HIGH. LIKE summer blockbuster mindnumbingly high BS.

I could write an essay but I won't. There's a lot of sad story and it was so delicate and perfectly written until we got closer to the end. Then everything was... more>> bulldozed. Rip the MC's brother man. Metaphorically. It was this great mystery how he died and it was backing up the MC's background and fueling the emotional story so well and I can't believe it was thrown away like a wet piece of paper to first tell a cannan fodder char. Smh. (There's so many examples of throwing away the emotional plotlines the first half of the book built up through half-assed situations)

Anyways. Read it if you like good romance but dramatic angst and crazy situations/ppl. The real villains as always are bad dads but let's focus 60% of the novel on all these emotionally dangerous women amiriteeeee /s (as if we can't do anything about the source of the issue) Just know this is a largely romance focused novel with lots of other ppl bs & u'll probably enjoy this..... not me unfortunately. <<less

Reading up to hao 14 so far:

This novel has a sense of subtlety. Feelings and emotions are inferred and it’s a kinda mature novel that is somewhat different from the cutesy popular kinds. Looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Overall it was a good novel. At the beginning is was so slow and boring that I thought of dropping it, but I’m glad that I did not. In the beginning they were very cautious around each other partly because they don’t know how the other person feel about them. Both MC and ML are some what similar they had a tragic past and they only had one sibling that they dots on. As the story goes on it revealed more of ML’s past and you learn why he is... more>> deaf and mute. When they finally got together they were so gentle and caring for one another. I throughly enjoy the novel. <<less

It was a very fun to read BL novel. I say fun, not because it could make you laugh but because its the kind of story that once you started reading, you wouldn't be able to let go. I was sad to know I reached the last chapter. I didn't notice the number of chapters before I started reading, I wish it was longer. Thank you for the translator for translating this wonderful novel.
