Like the part where I’m at, the MC keeps heading straight into danger coz of how s*upid he is. He got expose to be a Legendary level guide that isn’t protected by the golden tower (or something like that) and also got expose to be the creator of the medicine that millions maybe billions of people want since it could help ordinary people too, so you could imagine that a lot of people wants to get their hands on him. But no instead of staying at home, he wants to roam around and head straight into a school full of sentinel and then he goes to a black market. Like idk what he was expecting... and he’s always like he can protect himself but most of the time the ML has to save him.

The author tried so hard trying to make him clever with stuff like “he learned how to drive with just the afternoon” or “he made 200 pills without the system help all within the work of a day.” But I’m not buying it 💀. Like these mf built floating cars, mechas, etc. but they can’t come up with the ideas that he came up with? Like the author legit dumb the other characters down for the MC to shine.

He pisses me off as well. At the beginning, he kept making rude remarks at the MC n other guides like how they’re weak and to forget about liking him coz he’ll never like someone so weak etc. He’s so narcissistic to assume that MC would automatically like him.

There was this one scene at the beginning where a guide was treating his grandfather but she couldn’t coz he’s a SS lv sentinel while she’s only a B or A lv guide (I don’t remember). But he made some snide remarks about how weak she was and a little pain was enough to get her screaming.

ML really insensitive coz guide are suppose to be more empathetic and sensitive so ofc she’s gonna be in more pain than the grandfather who’s the marshal.

Plus, to compare 2 entirely different people’s pain tolerance isn’t really gonna be accurate. Like even with just getting a piercing, some hurts more than others because people’s pain tolerance are not the same. Not to mention a sentinel and guide who are build completely different with the sentinel having more than 1000+ points in physical and guides only having around 100- 200+ physical points iirc.

But, I let this pass coz I kinda get it. He’s mad that they can’t even treat his grandpa when it’s the reason why they’ve been given the best protections and condition to live in.

But what I’m really pissed off at was when he kept going off on how sentinels instinct to love and want a guide when their match % reach over 90% was animal etc. and that he would never do that. But then he goes and does the same thing when the MC was given a stimulant to go into heat. (Again, coz MC s*upid enough to keep traveling alone, knowing full well on how he got a target on his back with how short he is compare to original people and sentinels who are tall af.) Like ML attempt r*pe MC but still went on a full on rant about how he wouldn’t succumb into instinct.

Before chapter 87 which is the revelation of You Mo's past and misunderstanding. First, I really think this story will be fluffy and sweet with interval obstacles and the main villain (You Mo) who should be punished as normal would say.

However, after reading until chap 90. Then I realize this story is more realistic than I thought, which actually can be counted as resulting from many plot holes. The story and characters also retell that everybody in this story is selfish. (Which this part is really realistic from my opinion), Everybody is no saint here ;D

When I read this chapter, the action of Hao Min and Merry in the past could be called Wood head man (low EQ) x white lotus. He (HM) didn't trust his lover, instead, he trust his friend's bestie (-_-) and ask him to pretend to be his fiancee without telling anything to his lover (YM). Meanwhile,

Merry is selfish but he is very smart using his identity as a Guide to pursue his heart (his bestie's lover). He felt guilty but he's not regretted it a little bit and he didn't have any whim to tell his bestie about the plan. (-_-) [PLOT HOLE HERE] He even blamed You Mo who ran away with a broken heart. This timeline should happen more than 20 years ago from the main story.

In this scenario, I kind of understand the emotion and logic behind the plot.

• • You Mo was hurt by both his lover and bestie. So, he thinks they both betray him and he went emotionally mad and has gone astray. Later, became the main villain, causing homicide and destruction everywhere because he's hurt inside and cannot cope with it. [SELFISH HERE]

• • Hao Min - the wooden block human was confused and hurt that his lover ran away and die. So, he didn't care about anything anymore and married Merry who was by his side and his pretend fiancee, and became a real wife. Later, when he knows the truth and You Mo is still alive. He felt sorry for You Mo and blames himself, then tries to compensate Merry instead (who is by his side all the time and finally confesses that he loves him). They got a lesson learned here from cannon fodder (YM). This explains that he just love You Mo in the past but is not love enough to trust. However, he trusts Merry from the beginning. He just felt sorry for YM but did not regret his action. [SELFISH HERE] Maybe he's not noticing it but if there is another scenario presumably You Mo didn't run away Hao Min win the fight with his father. Still, HM and Merry are pretended engagement. He and Merry were always together pretending every day and YM who is real love might become 3rd party here and then he's still become cannon fodder for this couple. Because Hao Min didn't trust You Mo in the first place. Trust and truth are the most important thing in any relationship. In conclusion, Hao Min is biased toward Merry in the first place.

• • Merry - White lotus who again has an excuse that he's a Guide with empathy and liking towards the Sentinel even if the compatibility between him and Hao Min is 30% and tries to get close by becoming a fake fiancee. Actually, he just loves his bestie's lover but didn't dare to snatch it. Maybe because You Mo's personality intimidates him. But after YM disappeared he still didn't leave Hao Min and was still by his side being a white lotus here until he got what he wants that is to marry his bestie's lover :) [SELFISH HERE]

BUTTT, You Mo is not totally disappeared, He came back as the Owner of Interstellar Trade company which is registered in Planet Yan, where both Hao Min (Marshal) and Merry (Marshal's wife) are.

• • Merry claims that Hao Min was looking for You Mo for several years until he personally verify that You Mo was dead.

• • But, You Mo didn't change his appearance or name. He even went in and out of the Plant often and both of them didn't notice or find anything. [PLOT HOLE HERE]

• • In this part, I think of You Mo's personality which is prideful because of his intelligence but quite emotionally weak inside (broken heart until current plot unable to cope). YM might think that with this action his lover (Hao Min) will notice him someday, But that never happens in this plot hole story.

Lesson learn from this part of story:

• Nobody cares/loves you more than yourself (YM - his grif lead him to do the most s*upid thing ever which is hurt himself and consequently hurt others) You cannot predict anyone's action but you can respond with calm, logical mind. Because the culprit (from person's point of view) might just feel sorry/regret/ or cry to you to express their feeling but it's just that you (YM) are just a part/chapter in their (HM&Merry) life story that come and will be gone. But They will go on with their life happily without concern or grief for you (YM) no one is more important than one-self happiness. Why bother thinking of the past fling?
• Be emotionally smart like Xiao Mu (MC). Except for the very first chaps, he is still weak chicken. He never let anyone (emotionally) drag him down even if he was physically weak compared to others then in school.
• Be patient and have throughout the plan and you will achieve your goal / get what you want like Merry ;D

For side couple

• Xiao Mu Greene - He's raise as meek person. But he's not s*upid. Just like to cry. He likes Mitte not willing to tell all details of the crime Mittd did and fear he will be implicated if anyone know Mitte hide in his room. [SELFISH HERE]
• Mitte - He's big boss lackey. But he's no worse than YM. He kidnapped several guides, killing. But he just got 100 years sentence on exile land with Greene accompanying him. Before the like Greene his action has no mercy. But when he's like Greene he became soft because he has other means to live more than revanges. So he's not so willing to work for YM anymore and JUST began to think YM actions were immoral [SELFISH HERE]

For MC and ML

• • MC tells everybody quite frankly that he's selfish from the beginning, He does every for his freedom and helps other Guides along the way because it helps him achieve his goal.

• • ML is more straight forwards. He really has a bad mouth and doesn't care about anyone who is not important to him, which we can see the domineering type ML here :D

Overall plot hole and emotional point of view. I rate this part as 3.5/5
