I enjoyed this one SO much.

The characters, they're well built overall. In terms of realism I would say that the things they do make sense, even if I wouldn't react as the bad side ones do, most humans probably would.

Maybe I would have liked more lore and backstories but it was fine as is, I didn't lack information.

As for the story, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect the shift when it deviated from just romance and business to what happens after. It was handled pretty well though, and the... more>> side stories left me satisfied.

The translation I read was fine so no complaints.

The novel starts off promising before still falling into the same pit traps and trope hell that is otome game reincarnation.

First of all are the misunderstandings. A lot of the charm that I found in the novel was how the MC was determined to change her pushover personality by acting as the original Deborah did in the novel and how her outward appearance contrasts to her internal monologue. Of course, this gets quickly abandoned as Deborah's image goes from rotten to "mysterious and beautiful genius" of the course of a... more>> few months.

Second of all is the ease of things that which happen to her. She manages a coffee business. Gets carried by the Master constantly. The competition implodes itself, and she's never caught off guard. The business is never really fully fleshed out, it's just there for seemingly no reason. The engagement with growing the business isn't there and so it's just some weird side quest/minigame that Deborah imposes upon herself which doesn't really go anywhere. This kind of carries over to her rivals politically, financially, and romantically. I get that it's a romance, but god damn do her opponents just let her walk over them.

Third of all are the characters. Because this is ultimately a otome game reincarnation novel, Deborah knows the personality of all of the characters, and thus none of the characters are delved into that much. Which is a shame, since a good cast of characters would have absolutely carried this novel

Finally, we have the romance. It's a typical reverse harem-type. The main coupling between Deborah and Isidor is just extremely shallow and generic. We have Deborah falling for Isidor instantly based on looks and he just happens to have a great personality, while Isidor is the typical "mysterious, perfect" archetype in which Deborah naturally falls in love with because he's also a Gary Stu type of individual.

Overall, just a novel that shows it's true colors after a frankly fun and interesting beginning, but still failing to expand any further on its initial fun ideas. <<less

The TL by levelingods is bad (seems to just be MTL with no clean up...) and having ads after every 2-3 sentences is way too excessive, but I don't have a choice since I don't know how to read the story on kakao as a non-Korean. The story itself is good. I read the manhua first and was so into it that I looked up if it was based on a novel so I can keep reading.

I came here after reading the manhwa coz I fell in love with the FL she is amazing, beautiful, resourceful, cute and cunning. I live her so much 🥰

Isidor is superbly handsome as MC said he's a flawless blondie. ML is also the master of the guild and he helps MC in every situation. Their relationship and dynamic is worth reading. ML gradually falls in love with FL but he falls hard.

The plot and pacing of story is superb and worth giving your time.

the empress is the culprit she made deal with demon and using the ogFL the idiot bi**h. She is not a saint but used alchemy to turn her hair pink and used blood to increase her divine power. Empress wants her son the 3rd prince to be the Emperorso she used thia idiotic method. The villain are not worth much.

Th FL family relationship is also a nice read. They gradually forms a bond. I personnel like veleque more than older brother. The youngest is the cutest. Her father is also amazing. He became a doting father. ML has a hard time dealing with FL family as they dote on her too much and hate him coz they think he's seducing MC lol.

The story is funny and amazing not to forget all the business ideas they came up.. Great 10/10

OKAYYYYY so this is very good. I love deborah and isidor, love her relationship with her brother and love the overall plot. The romance is veryyy slowburn in the majority of the novel, but when they finally address they have something going on, it becomes amazing and full of fluff. Sadly the main translator dropped after the novel was licensed, then I found someone on tumblr that translated pretty well until chapter 143. From there onwards someone else took over and I decided... more>> to stop reading until a better translation comes out (It's just not worth reading something when it feels like strenuous work to understand a paragraph lol).

The webtoon is also GREAT and I'd recommend reading the webtoon and then continuing with the novel hehe. Can't wait to be able to read the rest of this amazing story. <<less

I love the main character and her worldview. Having learned the hard way that caring too much about other people and what they think she goes on to be... just as good a person, just a little stronger. Maybe I take this novel a little too personally (my mom’s too nice for her own good and grew up as her family scapegoat. They think I’m evil because I told my aunt she’s not as nice as she thinks she is and I don’t trust her) but I love the way... more>> she uses everyone’s negative view of her to her own advantage.

I like the ML. He’s smart and capable but is so used to girls throwing themselves at him that it takes him a while to figure out how to flirt effectively.

I also really appreciate how, rather than having some crazy gold finger that cheats the world, FL uses her skills in architecture, basic modern marketing, and algebra. I also think the FL and ML work really well together with her providing revolutionary ideas and him providing resources and know-how. Their romance is slow, but in a way that gives it a sense of realism. <<less

Great story. Good characters, nice world, smart use of both. Only real issue is it feels slow, without action or a lot of drama the smart business stuff and we'll written character development can feel a bit plodding.

It's been a while since I've read this, but I remember really enjoying this.

There's a reason why she is the way she is and a reason why her family and the ML are the way they are. It'll all make sense in the end, even if the overarching arc doesn't play a significant role in the main storyline, I like the way it heals the FL.

The FL is clever. I really like her father. And the ML is someone who props her up and supports her rather than treats her... more>> like someone who constantly needs to be saved. I like the way the FL stands on her own two feet, but still utilizes all she has.

I can't give a review as to the translation. Levelingods seems to have stopped at c201. The main story goes to c185 and the rest are side stories. I read the official translation on Radish/Tapas so if you feel like investing coins, you can go there, but I will warn you that even the "official" translation has enough errors that it made me wonder how they could get away with it. <<less

This is one of the best light novels that I have ever read and that I will always read!!! Totally recommend:) I read and reread season 1 of the manga version and was so disappointed when it stopped just when it was getting exciting, and I am still waiting for the continuation of the series. I was over the roof when I discovered the light novel version and that it is almost completed!!!

I like how badass the FL is shown, what with how she was a pushover in her previous... more>> life. The author did a good job in not changing how she behaved, obviously she was more calmer and quite but her overall outlook had not changed much to the people around her, only the people who had close interactions with her could tell that she was different than how the rumors described her. But even later on, people outside of her circle had even started to notice.

I especially liked the scenes between the FL and the ML, even more so when they finally kissed!!! There was even a scene where they fooled around a little but not going all the way due to the ML who wanted to wait till she was a full adult. The scenes where he had to deal with her disproving male family members were hilarious as you can just see all the volcanic hated he is receiving due to him dating their treasure.. <<less

One of my favorites mostly because Debbie is such a boss. I really love how she tried to maintain her villainous reputation (at least in her head) simply because she hates breaking character. I was very invested in her business ventures. I haven't read the sidestories but I hope it shows what happened to the soul of the real Deborrah. I always wonder about that with these kinds of stories.

It's a very good novel.

-Not everyone are villains

-ML is adorkable, I wont spoil anything exept to say he's likeable.

... more>> -MC is great, she's smart and she uses her knowledge and life experience very well. Not to mention she takes advantage of her villanous reputation. Only complaint is that she, like other such MC's, is rather too perfect. However it's one of the reasons I like these kinds of novels :P

The story is good, it's not heavy on the drama or tension. Romance is definitely there, but it's not one of those novels that spend 1-3 chapters before the ML\FL have evoled into a deep relationship. The romance takes time and leaves lots of room for other stuff (which is what I personally prefer).

I recommend reading this novel. I've enjoyed reading it so far. <<less

This is my favorite villainess isekai novel—I’ve read it twice. Deborah is really smart and Isidore is such a great ML. They are on the same wavelength and really belong together. Deborah isn’t one of those “smart at everything except love FL” who tries to deny her feelings or do the opposite of her feelings once she recognizes them, which is really nice. There’s enough drama to keep you interested but not so much that you want to scream in frustration. 10/10!

I feel so comfortable when reading it. FL doesnt care about the original plot, she just chooses to live as she wants, and the relationship of FL with her siblings as well her father is quite interesting. AND, I love how the love between FL and the ML. It is very natural, and I love the way she is so observant!

Hmmm story line is fine too, I dont feel boring because the story is going very smoothly.

If there's a point I don't like, that it seems related to God or... more>> things like divine entity. It is so typical, too much story use this way to solve the story then I was hoping for some thing new <<less

I hate 1st person narrative!

But this one is better than most J-novels under the same villainess trope.

It still has some boring patches though, and the munchkin parts doesn't help. The pace is too slow at times, but it's (quite) interesting to see various characters' rotating as the 1st person narration.

My biggest concern is how flat the characters are--esp our FL & ML. Her 1st person narration is boring... ML is the biggest munchkin, lol, but he was so well made in the manhwa, I ended up reading the novel. Probably... more>> manhwa>novel, over there, the facial expressions & characters are built better.

I'm sorry if there is any grammar or spelling mistake, English is not my first language.

So the romance trope is basically "unpredictable MC x smarty ML". While the MC is a former pushover, when she possesses the body of a villainess called Deborah Seymour, she realizes that she actually likes being feared of since nobody can easily convince her, and she also realizes that she had been a pushover for her whole life until she died. She makes use of the things she knew in her original world to make... more>> money. Also, she has no romantic feelings for anyone.

She isn't really a villainess, but she doesn't change the image that people have of her and makes use of it. She sometimes acts like a villainess (for the sake of maintaining her image) and, due to her scary appearance (and the bad rumors that circulate), people are afraid of her.

At first, the ML was slightly 'interested' in her, but then those feelings evolved. He's not perfect, he has flaws and is not a good person like he looks like in the MC's eyes.

The original MC was a saint called Mia Vinoche.

I believe Mia Vinoche is not a real saint. She has dyed her hair pink, and she is indirectly controlled by an organization through Ophelia, her caretaker, to make her the saint and have the power to choose who sits on the throne.

About the ML, I don't like how he takes advantage of his position as the Master but I think that if I were in his place I'd probably do the same. It's better to benefit from certain things if one can.

Hilarious. Interesting characters. Cliche but entertaining plot.

This nov is my #1 favorite "villainess noble girl" romp. She isn't your typical soft s*upid villianess that collects a harem by speaking the right lines. Deborah is out here for $$$money$$$ and the tears of her enemies.

After getting isekaied into the body of a fantasy empires #1 spoiled brat, Deborah realized that being feared was... actually... a pretty good gig. She gets everything she wants & people bend over backwards to make her comfortable. All she has to do is occasionally make a... more>> huge scene in public so people remember to reward her when shes not making trouble. As a anxiety-driven-cronic-pushover, isn't being a villian... actually amazing? The only thing that could make it better is the financial independence to keep this lifestyle going. Join Deborah's journey into shady buisness & tax fraud!

The father/daughter interactions in the beginning for a little too much too soon imo, but other than that it's a pretty entertaining read. The MC is smart but not some overexaggerated genius, her attitude towards the ML is a bit much for my tastes but not enough where I'd say it's a major detriment to the story.

I love it so much!! The story is paced perfectly for me. Unlike other stories where the villainess tries to turn over a new leaf and change her attitude completely to avoid red flags, the FML here acts like the villainess she possessed and wins their heart like the way she is. It's quite fun read and the romance is slow but meh, it's fun! Definitely a good read, can't wait for more developments between her family and the ML <3

This is one of my fav, I'm truly glad that I found this one. The character development of everyone, the family interactions especially Deborah and Enrique, the romance (tho I doubted at first because the chemistry between the leads weren't really it, maybe it's because of Deborah's character anyway it gradually developed into a good relationship)

All in all this story was definitely worth reading. I love Deborah sm, she's so cool. Honestly, the chapters weren't enough for me. I'm really hoping that there will be 50+ side story chapters.
