Why does this only have a two star rating? It was good. Pretty predictable, but it still managed to pull my heartstrings and make me bawl my eyes out.

Since it’s really short, giving a synopsis would probably give the whole plot away, suffice to say it’s about the ghost (spirit?) of a dead man who watches over his lover who can’t overcome his death. The fact that it’s written in the third person only adds to the sorrow.

This story is only one chapter, but it's so beautifully written. It's so short that we don't get to know the characters that well, but this novel still left me feeling heavy for them. There's sadness, but at the same time there's a sense of fulfillment. Unlike it unlike other tragedy BLs, there's no s*um gong that we can all point fingers at and blame. It very unusual to see a BL story written in the perspective of a female character. She's really silly and clumsy. Although that one reviewer found her annoying and unnecessary for the story, I found her really amusing and think her role is appropriate. This female MC, in a sense, is the representation of the audience. As I read this oneshot, I found myself feeling the same emotions that she does as we witness the pivotal moment between the two guys.

I think it's meaningful that there's no summary for this story. It basically puts us in the same shoes as the female MC. Just like the MC, we all walk casually into the story of these two men, not knowing what we're getting into and having no clue what's happening. But by the end, we're all left in tears. <<less

A yaoi version of Mulberry Song, with a more selfless ending. While the story is subtle and bittersweet, with a decent plot and length, the inclusion of a female narrator ruins the story for me. While it’s still sad and its still touching, it makes it seem as though the story can’t take itself seriously despite the theme. Anyway 3/5 – would be 5/5 if they had removed the female narrator, dedicated less of the story to her and wasn’t told in first person. Although the female is the MC her perspective is pretty interesting. At the beginning it's a cute starter then at the end it become sad and bitter sweet.

For me, this was beautiful.

A melancholy tale, it tells of a woman who has died, who meets a man in heaven who has also died. She develops a sort of friendship with the man and eventually learns that he has left behind a husband. At first, it seems as if the man has forgotten the dead man, but we eventually learn that their story isn't as it seems at first.

I didn't think it was as miserable as Gaze at the Scenes of Debauchery or Mulberry Song, but it left me... more>> feeling very blue and wanting to love on my spouse, so if you read this make damn sure they know how much you love them. <<less
