I found myself trapped in the reverse harem horror game “Lucifer’s Castle,” notorious for its insane difficulty.

Somehow, I must find and kill Lucifer hidden within the castle within 100 days to log out.

However, the state of the male leads is blatantly strange.

“Every time I see you, something below rises. How will you take responsibility for this?”

Starting with Martin, the FM butler who was a former war hero,

“It’s troubling because every time I see you, my m*mber starts acting up.”

Kiel, the black mage, whose words are entirely different from his ascetic face,

“Look, every time I see you, Laila, this place starts drooling like this.”

Eden, the gardener who looks like the epitome of a sunny male lead but actually has multiple personality,

“I’m suddenly curious about how your insides will change if I endlessly feed you this.”

Not to mention Rosalyn, the head maid who roams around in the guise of his deceased fraternal twin sister,

“When you cry, it makes me want to go astray.”

Even the lord of the castle, who exudes a dangerous aura from head to toe.

Can I safely log out of this game, avoiding the male leads who are clearly not normal?

…Honestly, I’m not sure if I can. Can someone please log me out?

Surprised this has no reviews. The writing is not bad at all, translation is good, however I really don’t want to understand and like the MC. I liked her character at first but then she started saying quirky comments that was out of character but oh well, that was disappointing but yeah it actually is interesting and has plot so far. I’ll check up on this later.

I recently finished this novel (I bought the advanced chapters) and I really enjoyed it. The horror aspect of the story keeps the pace fast but fresh. There wasn't a single stagnant moment in the story but that led to the typical anxiety you will feel in horror novels because there was hardly any breathing room.

For me, the progression of character development is the main factor of enjoyment for me and I would give it a 4/5. Rarely did any of the male leads stay the same and delved into... more>> every background or at least the reasoning for why they acted the day they did. However, I've seen some stories do a better job.

I felt the plot had a strong premise and the author stayed loyal to it. There wasn't any long side quests that didn't have the purpose of advancing towards the goal but that's mainly due to the story not being long. It's under 100 chapters. The author had interesting quests the protagonist had to complete too.

Spoiler

However, she never failed at any of them. The entire consequence of death did make me anxious (in a good way don't worry) but looking back it felt like way too extreme of a consequence. A protagonist failing a quest can lead to really interesting consequences!!

[collapse]

The protagonist's personality was slightly bland but not overly irritating. There wasn't any moments I can remember where I felt exasperated over her actions and felt it was ridiculous and unrealistic. She was an enjoyable protagonist to read!

bonus rating: I loved the translation and I think they did a great job!! If you're reading this plz continue ur awesome :)

Overall, 4/5. If the tags and plot interest you I think you'll enjoy it! <<less

you know what... h*ll yeah!

no thoughts needed... just turn your brain off lol. I read this to entertain myself and pass time. the ending is quite abrupt, but to be fair the plot exists for smut; the smut comes first.

admittedly I found myself wanting to see a more developed plot. I had to remind myself that this is not that kind of novel.

not for everyone, obviously, so mind the tags. the contents of the novel suited my tastes well, so I like it more than the average person.

The story is about a South Korean woman office worker who decided to play a R15 VR game. She was able to complete most routes until she could unlock the Master Mode. Little did she know that 'Master Mode +19' is what's going to keep her stuck in the game if she doesn't complete the task. She had 2 choices! Do it or d*e!

This was surprisingly good! I'll give the smut a 7/10 considering this is a light novel, which exceed my expectations! I liked the obliviousness at the start... more>> when she started to notice certain things like her being able to see the butler 'print' in his trousers LOL! She was confident that she knew how to work the game until she seen that "R19+ in a R15+" game.

Anyways, the reverse harem is what brought me here, I did enjoy the concept, although I wished we got to see the FULL
Spoiler

'group play' (o*gy) at the ending. It's very crucial to have at least 1 'group play' scene in a story if it's the 'why choose' reverse harem type.

Which they did, so I guess it's a pass?

Moving on, the FL was okay, although sometimes I feel like she loses the plot when she is being drilled. I would've liked more of her inner thoughts about escaping instead of just her cursing the system about not logging out. But she is quite likable in my opinion, a lil OP though when it comes to missions. I agree with the other reviewer that it would've been more interesting if she was to at least fail 1. Or if not fail, I would love to see her actually struggling to meet the quota. There were so many opportunities to do so but IT IS a quick story to read in 1 day so keep that in mind.

The Male lead was good too! They're not one-dimensional so I'll give them a 6.0/10 when it comes to character building.

The plot is quite predictable on who is actually Lucifer but then again, this is a sm*tty book with plot. If you want a reverse harem story with plot that happens to have sm*t... then this is not for you. I will recommend to read English Book series, they have over 600+ of them that you can easily find on Goodreads!

So would I recommend? Yes! It's a quick story to read! Not to much complex fillers. There is some plot to it. The smut can be straightforward at times but it's a good read, you would want to see some progression. The main leads are tolerable. There is an HEA while this can be arguable that it's more of an HFN (happy for now). And this is a mostly safe book to read without any hardcore tr*ggers you'll unfortunately find on NU. There is dubi*us consent in this so be mindful. <<less

There is no build-up of tension—neither s*xual nor emotional. It's like they just start having s*x out of nowhere, and it makes me wonder why? Just because they want to relieve themselves? If that's the case, then the smut should at least be good—but it's not. It's so repetitive, like the author has no creativity.

The plot is there the whole time, but there are no surprises, and the protagonist faces no real challenges. Even the hardest tasks the game gives her are effortlessly completed, purely because of plot armor.

The protagonist... more>> has no personality—just like all the other characters, I swear. How can you write 80 chapters and not even try to develop your characters? Sure, it's a short novel, but I've read ones with even fewer chapters that were much better developed.

I have to say, it's not the worst novel I've ever read, but the reviews were really good, so I was expecting something else. <<less
