Just one step in the wrong direction, and I managed to cross over into a different sphere. A newly-made world of a God.

In the distance stood a small house surrounded by a field. And inside lay a man on a bed.

According to the God, he was a hero. One who had died in a tragic event.

Then the next words of the God threw me into a panic.

What did you mean I needed to save money to return to my original world?

Since there was nothing else I could do anyway, I dove head first into my goal. Plucked some grass. Grew some vegetables. All to earn a steady income.

Apparently, my profession was the “Hero’s Wife,” but that’s definitely a bug, right?

This wn is mostly fluffy slice of life, in both the good and bad of the genre. Something to note: despite no "physical" mpreg, there's a great deal put on conceiving children between two males in different mystical ways. Definitely wish I knew it before going in.

This story is full of fluff! It's an OK read and the plot line is funny. I usually read more modern stories and just read this one for a break. All in all, I think I like it.

I just finished

Its a good story, some iffs were

-not all questions were answered or curious things we didn't get to find out (nothing major but as a reader I did want to know)

-unnecessarily lying (The MC would lie even he didn't need to, good thing in the next chapter he told the truth. It was dumb to lie for good reason)

I would still recommend for a light and fuffy read, the downfalls of the two weren't that major so don't let that stop you.

I’m actually most shocked by the tragic revelations of the hero’s life, especially the connection to Minoru. His ability to wander into the isolated space was NOT random.

[spoiler=The First Life]The hero lived sequestered in a forest until he was 25. The final extra shows him exploring the forest as a teenager with solid views on current events, so he probably had some degree of communication or experience outside. His powers isolated him from those outside of his race. Small creatures automatically avoid him due to his strength. This hits him... more>> pretty hard because he finds small animals cute. He is finally able to seduce befriend one with his beauty persistence. They become good friends and neighbors in the forest.

The hero’s race is human-like, but slightly larger with a longer lifespan and alternative methods of reproduction. The little friend seems to be a slightly silly squirrel, who makes multiple proposals and builds a nest to please this person. The hero finds these actions adorable and is touched, but refuses for the relationship to go further. The first tragedy is that there is no way to pursue romance with a squirrel. It doesn’t matter that it’s rare for his race to find a partner. They are incompatible races. The hero must have considered his pet’s advances seriously at least once, because he reflects in the story that the difference in size alone made accepting impossible.

The next part is only referenced in a few scenes rather than getting it’s own flashback. The war heats up and the hero leaves the forest to join the battle. I’m extrapolating from scattered details at this point, but the world is on the verge of being torn apart from the conflict and hiding in the forest will not solve anything. He leaves this little friend behind waiting for him to return.

A lot of time passes and the hero finally gets access to the ‘corrupt soul’ in a sword at the center of the conflict. The easiest solution is to destroy the sword and fulfill his dream to retire back to the forest. This is the second tragedy. The hero instead sacrifices himself (as well as part of the continent and its citizens he wasn’t able to save in time) to separate the soul from the sword and send it to be purified. He dies a 45-year old virg*n and never fulfills his desire to return and see his silly squirrel. The everlasting war finally ends thanks to his actions, and what remains of the continent is saved.

His father asks if it was worth using his last life in such a way. The hero is firm in believing he did the right thing. His only regret is tied to his companion in the forest who he let down. Sig asks about the little friend and is told that he lived out his life until he died of old age. We actually don’t know the squirrel’s lifespan in this fantasy world, but another squirrel in the story hits maturity in single digits. This is much faster than the Hero’s race who hits adulthood at 30. I think there is a very high chance that he passed away before the hero. This is supported by the reveal that the silly squirrels soul had long moved on to another world. There are strong hints in other chapters that the silly squirrel lived out the rest of its life pining away for a companion that didn’t return before it passed away.

Minoru is the reincarnation of the silly squirrel called ‘Mi’. The hero was thinking of Mi so intensely in his sleep that he managed to call Minoru to his side. He recognizes that this human is ‘Mi’ which is why he falls in love so fast and easily misunderstands Minoru’s role/intentions.

I’m a little upset that
Spoiler

we never get to see him go outside and meet Minoru’s family. I want to know what happened for the husband and wife to spend most of the day on Earth where an hour inside is equal to a month outside. To be fair, the ML does say he cannot follow Minoru out and the number of children do not match up exactly with the ‘dream of the future’. It’s just disappointing that none of his children or his husband can meet Grandma or be involved with that part of Minoru’s life.

[collapse]

One thing I appreciate about this story are the differences in culture that cause some small hiccups in the couple’s understanding of their relationship. What actions are actually an invitation? What constitutes proposing and accepting a marriage? The setting is essentially a customized afterlife that a ‘god’ from a fantasy world created for his children (?) as a reward for the hero’s efforts. There can and should be a level of culture shock. This story is not another rehashed medieval Earth. The author made it a completely alien planet with only a few biological similarities. The funniest and most raunchy difference revealed in the story has to be the meaning of the words ‘convenience store’ in the hero’s world. These small cultural details really filled out the story as well as providing non-dramatic conflict points in lieu of some of the more cliché options.

This story is at most a 3.5 in quality, but I rounded up due to personal enjoyment. This is a lighthearted JP BL and an overall pleasant read. <<less

This novel is surprisingly memorable. It really grew on me. The ML is a nice character and there are some good scenes. It's not my style of setting but months afterwards I still think about it! Since it's not long, you may as well give it a shot. Good palette cleanser between longer stories.

I love laid back with farming themes in BL stories, especially after a bad day or a horror story. However, it's sad that in order to get a full fluffy experience is when this CP are finally at the same place in terms of their situation in different scenarios. I also don't really feel too good about the angst that don't fit properly. And last but not least; the ending feels incomplete. I feel like there would be some fantastic amount of fluff right there. ಥ_ಥ

Very fluffy, an interesting plot, a bit of world building here and there, and I’m crying right now since I just finished the last extra a few minutes ago...

You get attached to this story, the characters are amazing and well rounded and there’s shifts in point of view. It’s fantastic, I highly recommend you give it a try, be it as a light read or something to pass the time.

Aii, so cute. It was a refreshing and lovable story. At first I was reluctant to start and when I started, I was weirded out at first. The world setting is unique, unlike the previous novels I've read before. Still, I enjoyed it and teared a little bit (dammit! You two are so precious!). And the children... Ai, my heart is fulfilled. Thank you author for giving them the ending they deserved.

, but I believe they came to like each other after some time passed due to getting to know each other better over time.

There wasn’t any big plot holes that I noticed, although I’m curious about the process of their child appearing since it’s not the reproductive process we’re familiar with, well obviously some loving is involved but I mean the birth part... since there’s no pregnancy... I felt it was kinda vaguely described. Days of loving while supposedly connected to the seed which will apparently will one day result as their child but how does that work, does the baby pop out of a gradually growing seed or magically appear from the seed one day with no visible change to the seed itself?

The extras were also cute, you get to see more of their fluffy life after the main storyline ends. <<less

To be honest, this story is not my cup of tea. It’s fluffy, and the translator did a great job, but I didn’t feel anything towards the characters and setting. Maybe it’s because it’s a little bit rushed, since it only has 55 chapters including the extras.

There were many points in the story that I felt didn’t make sense, or the author didn’t explain properly, especially towards the end.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t regret reading it, its actually a pretty good slice of life novel, with no drama or... more>> disputes between the characters. In my opinion though, the relationship between the MC and the ML is sweet but not realistic. The ML is very loving towards the MC, and their children. (It’s not mpreg BTW)

If you have a couple hours to spare and want a short and fluffy read with not much plot, this is a great story. <<less

It was such a cute story albeit the fact that the story was very fast.

I like reading Bl with a possessive seme, though Sig is not possessive, it's just so cute.

There is also the fact that Sig's and Minoru's world mainly revolve around God's miniature garden. I would really love to see them in their respective worlds.

I love this so much. I started reading this in between reading another novel since I thought it would a short read. It was. I honestly didn't expect much from this novel, especially after reading the other reviews, but that bit me back in the most satisfying way possible. Reading it felt so purifying. At the start, I laughed a lot at the misunderstandings between them.

Then I started crying at how they seemed like star crossed lovers

[collapse]

I loved how honest they are to each other. I love how the protagonist isn't "s*upid" but you could read them falling for each other,

and it's feels ridiculous how they fell for each other at such a short amount of time, but in the same time it also didn't feel too far fetched. I couldn't help but feel happy for them

I just felt that the story was so unique but they also didn't drag it too much. But the end parts felt a bit rushed. I hoped they'd taken there time there

I did feel a bit weird with how the hero had "feelings" for his pet, Mi. Yep, that weirded me out very much

The plot didn't make sense tbh. But that's the point! So we can have the fluff and the sweetness of the CP without having too much thought. The story is nice and fun kinda fast paced but not too rushing. Everything is well explained so we didn't leave confused with the weird setting. I'm pretty sure the other reviews have covered enough with the summary and spoiler.

Although this isn't exactly my cup of tea but I'm giving this 5 stars coz what the heck is going on with those 1... more>> star. I mean I personally think this story deserves more than 1 star. <<less

3.5 stars: An easy-to-read relatively straightforward slow-paced story that's part slice of life, part farming, part gaming/system, and part fantasy reincarnation (sorta) —in that it's about the uke MC from our world finding himself stuck in a mini world where he has to farm to gain points to upgrade infrastructure and buy things per system administrator-god rules, with a housemate seme who happens to be a hero from a fantasy world who died and his rebirth here is supposed to be a paradise-afterlife for him. The uke wasn't deliberately brought... more>> into the world and didn't die in order to appear there, he just physically stumbled into it and got stuck.

It is implied that the god he talks to isn't The God or even a god from this world and is more the god from the seme's world who crafted this little paradise reward especially for the seme. The god isn't all-powerful or omnipotent either as he tells the uke that if he wants to return to his world, he'll have to farm his way up to earning the huge amount of points necessary to buy a bridge over the river that will connect this world to his original world.

Because this world was crafted as a paradise for the hero seme, it's supposed to be an idyllic peaceful life where the seme can rest and gain fulfillment, and is supposed to include his perfect partner. He is a gentleman who doesn't immediately fall in love with the MC or pounce on him, and does actually get to know him and his feelings clearly begin to grow, while the MC is frustratingly oblivious. The seme obviously thinks that the MC is intended to be his partner and gradually develops feelings for him, while the MC is aware that he's only here by accident and once he leaves, the seme's real partner will show up.

This is not a story with fast pacing, a lot of plot, or melodrama. There is some drama because of course no CP in this kind of situation is complete without big misunderstandings due to not communicating with each other and holding back information in order not to hurt the other party's feelings; although they are genre staples, well, they're not the worst or super annoying in this case, just more of the typical "UGH if only he'd just tell him already, obviously this is going to end badly" feeling—in this case, it's about the protagonist uke neglecting to tell the seme that he's working toward leaving someday, and the seme innocently misunderstanding a few different things, some due to cultural differences.

The ending was a little weird to me in the way where it feels like the author had to work within the rules set up by the initial worldbuilding and had to come up with ways to explain how things worked out and what steps were taken in order to achieve that happy ending without adding what would be utterly predictable melodrama. I'll put this under a spoiler tag though it's saying I appreciate what didn't happen:

Spoiler

I appreciate that the author didn't take the easy way out and have the uke get killed in a car accident or something in order for him to end up back with the hero because now they're both technically dead. I kept expecting for something like that to happen but instead things turned out much quieter, more pleasantly, and surface reasonably.

[collapse]

This could easily be adapted into a typical single-volume manga of 5 chapters with a cute extra that I would read in a single sitting, enjoy, and eventually mostly forget about because it was nice enough and interesting enough while I read it, but not something that was super impactful or deeply memorable. It'd be something I might remember a couple years later and be like, "Oh yeah, I remember reading that, it was nice. I guess I'll reread it because it was an easy read and amusing enough."

As it is, I'd say it was a pleasant read and a nice better-than-3-stars—not amazing, but still a good story/not a bad one, so I ended up hitting the 4-star rating rather than 3. It was definitely a nice break after some of the head-bangingly illogical or dogblooded toxic romances I've been reading lately. <<less

There's alot of questions that went unanswered but this was on purpose. This is the happily ever after to the plot that's happened. This isn't about the journey, but the end that came after.

The setting is literally a paradise for the hero. The hero who died and arrived in his ideal heaven.

[collapse]

This is pure slice of life. There's some NSFW scenes but it's only meant to drive an important plot point. Nothing too frisky.

I think the vagueness adds to this solemn but happy atmosphere that's there towards the end of this story. I know some readers don't like it but I like to think that vagueness is a good thing for MC and ML.

Spoiler

MC because despite not remembering and probably never will, he loved ML in his past life but is happier in his current life. And with ML, he surprisingly had a tragic life but is more than willing to move on from that part of his life for his current one.

The sad part of the story does hit you hard. But the hit was with a downy pillow.

Highly recommend as long as you don't mind the little plot. Again, this story is all about MC and ML.

I read most of it! This isn’t really my kind of novel, it’s short and sweet (which is the opposite of what I usually like) so it’s pretty normal for me not to finish it. However, as a casual read after a long epic novel that was 800 chapters long, I found this simple experience rather refreshing! If you’re looking for a similar kind of experience, I highly recommend that you try it out! The novel is... Well, it’s a bit hard to summarize *thinkingface*. One can say it’s the... more>> MC playing a farming or rural living simulator? He gets points and stuff for working around the home, basically. So the Game Elements are quite literal. There’s also a wife simulator aspect involved LOLOL. The MC is stuck with a Hero who quickly adapts to being an old, doting Seme. And later down the line, I assume there’s a childcare simulation aspect too, since there’s MPREG.

All in all, an okay read in my eyes. I’m not giving it an official rating cause it’s not really my type of novel and giving it a rating feels wrong LOL since it would be biased. Based on personal enjoyment though, I think this would be a 3/5 for me. <<less

I feel that the tag MPreg is inaccurate but there are definitely children (would that be a spoiler?).

The hero was often shunned and/or feared because he was so powerful. But he had a single friend, "Mi", who loved him and wanted to marry him. While the story does not go too much into "Mi", what is obvious is that Mi ends up waiting and waiting for the hero to return one day... but the hero ends up sacrificing himself to save everyone. That is saddening enough, but the hero knowing that Mi must have waited for his return, continuing to make a nest for him day after day and collecting beautiful things for their nest, but never knowing what happened to him because he was sheltered in the forest is heartbreaking. Not just for Mi, but for the hero also, since he did actually want to be with Mi.

Honestly, I did not find that Sig was a creeper or anything. What is creepy to me is the cover image. THAT made me feel like Sig would be a creeper and for the longest time I refused to read the novel because I thought it would be as such. Although in Sig's experience, Minoru is "underage" Minoru is still an adult per Japanese law.

[collapse]

Also, I want to say that I feel like the plot could have been developed more, but this seems like it should have enough details for readers to inference things. I notice that a lot of Japanese storylines are like this, at least a lot of the ones I have read. No, I do not have any off the top of my head, but I will try to think of some.

Going back to the plot and "lack" of said plot.I feel that Sig's father is actually a god or God/Creator in that sense. The brothers and Sig may be angels or warriors of said god. The author mentions numerus lives of Sig's and that Sig had voluntarily used all of them in the crusade to save the world. And even goes so far as to detail the weapon of destruction actually wanted itself to be destroyed. So sure, there are a lot of things left unanswered, but what is left unanswered are all details that could be explained with what is provided. Such as the multiple gardens. Well, to me, if I think that Sig's father is a god/God/Creator, then I find it obvious that "Father" would have other sons AND compassion to create other Gardens for the people. Perhaps each Garden is a mini heaven?

[collapse]

I really don't know. Those are just my ramblings.

I, for one, really enjoyed the story. Especially for the simplicity, the ambiguity, and the heartfelt emotions of the characters. <<less
