It all started with a facial hit by the outside spiker Roen Alejo to the rookie libero Kai Reyes.

He may have lost the match, but Kai can still continue his dream: play volleyball and help his team win the elusive men’s volleyball championship title. He also won Roen’s friendship – the reigning MVP who shares the same jersey number eleven. They became each other’s support in every match, maybe even more.

But in volleyball, the first who drops the ball loses. Kai knows that, and he has no idea how he’ll confess his feelings. But if Roen’s eyes were already into him even before the game started, maybe receiving that facial hit wasn’t so bad after all…

I really like the story. Simple yet relaxing. Plot is quite cliche but not totally boring.

The novel is focused much more in romance with sports as a background, like 70% love story, 30% sports. So if you are looking for action-packed sports story like Haikyuu, then this isn't for you.

However, I was hoping that the author added more depth to the story particularly with how Roen Alejo fell in love with Kaizen Reyes in the past. Because the author offered only less than half of a chapter to narrate how... more>> the former fell in love with the latter. It will be better if it was a more detailed flashback. This prompted me to give it four stars.

Moreover, I was hoping something will be done against this person who exposed the couple's

picture in Tagaytay wherein they were kissing. The person really had the nerve to follow them in such a faraway place and expose their private life. And that person is hiding at an empty, dummy account. But I am 100% sure this must be Roen's ex-girlfriend because after all, she still wants to get back together with the former. She wasn't shown as a bad person in the story. She also hadn't shown any aggressiveness once she found out Roen and Kaizen were actually together. But who knows right? Not to mention that she was devastated once she found out the truth. She is the prime suspect since she was once Roen's ex-girlfriend and knows his background.

I guess the author forgot to reveal that this person is the culprit behind exposing Roen and Kaizen's kissing picture. Even though the conflict was resolved when both didn't shy away from the public about their relationship and many accepted them albeit there are still nasty comments about them (particularly the people with bible verses in their profile), I still want the culprit to be apprehended.

As Kaizen have mentioned, he will not deny his and Roen's relationship if people asked because it will backfire if he did otherwise. He just wants that remain low-key. Their love doesn't need to be known by many, doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be true. And just for them to be exposed in their intimate times is ruthless. That culprit is a coward since that person is hiding behind a dummy account with no intention of showing oneself. So shameless.

Oh, that ex-girlfriend was named Nica Guerrero by the way. Yes, I think she's the culprit behind it because she has every reason to do so. As I have mentioned, I think the author just forgot about her completely. Her scene ended after she walked out devastated once she found out that her perfect ex-boyfriend that she still loves is gay. I hope the author should've done something about her, if she is the culprit.

Also, I was a bit annoyed whenever Kai repeatedly described how handsome and perfect Number Eleven (Roen Alejo) is in his inner monologues. Well, the story was written in first POV afterall so if you are a face-con, throwing rainbow farts and seeing a person in a hundred layer filter is normal. But still, I found it unnerving.

Despite the flaws, I still enjoyed the story. Actually, I was a bit sad when I finished reading it. I wish there was more. And hopefully the author can improve her writing.

Again, the story just lacks depth since the story did not reach a hundred chapters and each chapter is short so we really will not see much. But still I hope the author have tied the loose endings.

It still ended satisfactorily though.

Lastly, I wish the translator will translate the author's other story wherein Number Eleven and Kai are side characters, if there is any, just like what other BL authors do.

All in all, the story is an enjoyable fluff. Try reading it. I recommend it. Kudos to the translator and I hope your translations will be read by many. <<less
