Jun Zhenzhen might have been recently orphaned, but it didn’t dampen her arrogance one bit. She even snubbed her maternal family who took her in, seeing them as merely a stopover as she gained a foothold in Yangcheng. Her final destination, obviously, was with the scholarly and aristocratic Ning Family. More specifically, as the wife of the first son and pride of the Ning Family. After all, their grandfathers had arranged their marriage long ago.

But the engagement was denied! The family refused to meet with her, refused to accept the validity of a marriage arranged by elders long dead, refused to accept such an unruly, uncouth girl into their family.

She’ll show them.

Sincerity is everything, so she took a room in a nearby inn and strung up a length of white silk. Of course, she figured that once they saw how far she was willing to go, they would need to open their doors to her. Too clever!

Only, once her eyes fluttered closed… it was another girl who opened them again.

The recently dead Princess Jiuling, who was hacked to death during her attempted assassination of the King, has been granted another attempt at life and revenge.

But first, she has to get this petty Ning family and this nonsense arranged marriage out of the way.

Child’s play.

AMAZING. Superrrr long, but I loved it sm. MC is kinda devilishly smart and although her rebirth definitely gives her advantages, it is her wits, talent (medicine) and charm that shines the most. There were 4 MLs in total, all of them were well written and thankfully, the story didn't fall prey to the usual trope where the FMC just leads on the other MLs due to intentional/unintentional misunderstandings. As soon as any of the MLs professed their feelings, she was quick, clear and concise in rejecting them. Absolutely loved... more>> the chemistry with the main ML.

I guess the only downgrade to the novel was the subpar and incomplete translation (which cannot and should not be attributed to the author). I MTLed the law few hundred chapters and it was pretty understandable. Still would have loved if there had been a beautiful translation like Rebirth of the Malicious Empress. <<less

Honestly, the ending was kind of disappointing. I like slowborn romances, but I at least want some extra chalters at the end to see their relationship evolve from getting to know eachother, liking, ambiguous stage, realization, officially dating, marriage (and how people react to it), to the further evolution of the fruition of their relationship (even if not detailed, broad discription) but it just stopped at officially dating which is disappointing after such a long slowburn...

Things that were disappointing

Spoiler

- the abrupt switch of FL seeing the Fang family as family. In my opinion it wasn't executed that well, as the things the Fang family did for her to feel that way was because of the paralysed guy she cured. Later, the old lady seems to genuinely care more about her irrespective of her grandson but the abrupt switch wasn't done well and even felt forced

- the king of Qi being seen as a wise monarch because of covering everything the Duke did up

- like I mentioned before; not even a glimpse of the couple's life after getting officially together

- no development at all for the Fang third sister and that Chen guy (even though they've been together for years)

- no clarification of the fl's sisters marriage with the Lu guy. Are they getting divorced or not? Will the sister get together with the Gu guy as you can see that they are pretty ambiguous at the end

- no reunion with the sister after knowing FL is her dead sister

- we don't even get to see how they will tell their brother that she's her dead sister and how they will react/interact

Not exposing anything at all:

- how the emporer killed the previous crown prince (when it was so easy for the author to execute this with the whole segment of finding the medical notes of the crown prince's illnes. Because like why were the euneuchs uncomfortable when the ministers found those notes. It was easy to lead to the reveal. But no, everything was just swept under the rug)

- how that Huang old man basically colluded with the Jin people (which could also easily be executed with how they caught the guy that he colluded with alive)

- how the general that replaced the duke in the North basically was responsible for the first town to get massacred, because of the SAME mistake he made last time; greed for money that made it possible for spies to infiltrate as merchants. And how they just put the blame on the duke without any consequences. No accountability at all

- all of the conspiracies against the duke

Everything was basically just covered up which is disappointing because the theme was getting justice so in the end, the justice was only for the people involved which is kind of anticlimatic after all of that build up to not expose anything to the people. Even if its "unrealistic", the story is unrealistic from the beginning. Even though it was disappointing, I could still understand it a little but what I can't understand is the things involving the peace talks, collusion with the Jin people and the actions of that new general in the North being covered up. Because now, the people&minsiters still won't realize the severity of these mistakes. This will make it easier to repeat those mistakes.

The ml's

Spoiler

1. Fang Chengyu (paralysed cousin the she marries to cure and later divorces)

I don't really like him. I actually liked him more in the beginning than later. After being cured he acted like a child constantly. I get it but I just don't like it. Also how he let's her sleep in his courtyard after being divorced because he likes her. Like, I know you like her but in that time, it could've ruined her completely. FL and the rest just letting it happen was also frustrating. "My sister is the best" "my sister is the best!" Was annoying. I actually kind of felt bad for the mother because he really always prioritized her over everyone else

Only thing I really appreciate is what he did once he realized his marriage was fake to cure him; spread rumors about how it was all fake to save fl's reputation. I liked it because it was a lot of truth mixed with a lot of false things but the essence was the truth: it was to save him.

He also contributed a lot with money so that FL could execute her plans easier

2. Ning Yuzhou (the one with the marriage contract)

Technically, he's a good guy but I just can't seem to like him. His overthinking was just annoying and exhausting. What made it ironic; he basically did what he despised women that like him do; overthinking the behavior of the opposite s*x and intentionally approach by "coincidentally" meeting each other. It just seemed hypocritical. I also hated the fact that he never considered her life after marrying into his family (like he wanted to). His mother hated and despises her. Even if the FL can handle his mother, he never considered how strained their relationship can become with a mother in law like that. Does he really think she can be comfortable in a house where so many people despise her. Even if she can handle it, she will never be able to truly relax in her own home. But he never considered that.

How he treated his sister made me also really uncomfortable. On one side, he should punish and correct his sister. But on the other hand, his actions really made it hard for his sister to live a comfortable life at her husband's family. After basically marrying her off as fast as possible, he also never cared about her anymore. He only thought of the fl. That just made me feel cold towards him

But he did contribute a lot on the court side for fl

3. Lu guy (her ex-husband)

Even though he is kind of pitiful, he was disgusting. He did love FL but it turned into an obsession which made the love tainted. He helped the FL a lot in his own way like protecting the brother and sister but the execution was just wrong. The FL did like him before because she didn't know anything and he treated her well but once you realize what he did to marry her and how he basically put her in a cage so that she will only depend on him, it's just disgusting. All of the substitutes (these were also never mentioned again. What even happened to them) and forcing the FL to be with him didn't make it better.

Even though less obvious, he was also essential for everything to work out well (like keeping information about FL a secret)

4. Zhu Zhan (end game: our male lead)

I'm glad he's the ML because he's the only male lead that I have more positive feeling for. Although I sometimes got irritated how he constantly pushes FL away, it's understandable. At least his love was pure and realistic. Even though he had someone in his heart and didn't want to forget her, he's human and started having feelings for the fl. In the end, it is the same person so it ended happily. But if they weren't the same person (which is essentially the case as he didn't even really know the "first love" that well. He only met her 2 times so even though it's the same person; it's basically 2 different people), him catching feelings for someone years after his first love dies is super realistic. But just because of his principle of only having the first love in his heart, he pushed her away and just wanted to help from a distance so that his love can stay pure. It just worked out well as they are the same people.

The FL only showed her real true self with him. With the Ning guy, she was harmonious and comfortable but that also made them feel distant. With Zhu Zhan she was teasing, childish and arrogant in a different kind of way. She showed a side to him that she doesn't show others

His family also loves her and she loves them so you know that she will live a comfortable life when they get together

-‐----

I just don'thow to feel about the fact that for everything to have worked out for fl, all of these mls were crucial. And why these mls helped her like this (except the end game male lead) was because they loved her. These kinds of conditioms don't sit right with me. If the essence of the relationship varried, it could've been better because these kinds of stories would crumble if there was a small variablity like having another girl that the mls start to like

[collapse]

Actually, in this novel almost all character are annoying. All of them had flaws, even the fl. But that actually makes it more realistic and in the end, you will still end up liking a lot of them even if they are annoying (like a sibling). The only character I liked from beginning till end and didn't find annoying at all, is the duke. I just loved him overall; his demeanor, gentle but ruthless (with his words), and his bravery.

What I didn't like about the FL the most is that she was so ambiguous with the other mls. She was never really clear with them even if she felt the ambiguity. Only if they asked her directly.

My conclusion:

I don't regret reading it. It was a fun story. But I can't highly praise it either because of so many missing/disappointing parts <<less

Sigh...I will have to review this just so that more people can give this a try.

This is hugely Mango approved. 5/5

This is one of the more (if not most) under rated novels out there, with reasons ranging from QI hate to general dislike towards female MC CN. Well, here we go.

First off, the female MC kinda gets a reincarnation in the same time line, as she is reborn as a not tr*sh girl from a doctor family who is currently under the so called care of a merchant family.... more>> First off, so far, there is next to no cultivation stuff going on. So, you know what to expect.

I ABSOLUTELY love the protagonist. Her personality/character. She shows that she is a very young woman who has gone through betrayal and death, but still young and sometimes immature. She is not God like and what not, but she has the potential, due to her master in the previous life and her actual talents.

For a change, the family that mistreats her doesn't get killed to the 9th generation by her, but is instead used by her to survive, in a Live and Let Live policy. Great writing, and the writer did very well to make it look fresh.

Not to worry! She still has got them face slapping abilities! She has some divine skills in medicine, but in some other... unique aspects. She is shown to be both a badass and a relatable protagonist in a very good manner, especially considering that I am not even the supposed target audience!!

I will say this though, the story is slow. Perhaps, excruciatingly slow at some times. But I am able to get past it because of how good the other chapters are when the story picks up- you will want to read them again and again!

Also, so far, the romance is a VERY big question. I will not talk much about it, but I will say one thing- This is a novel that I recommend for the protagonist, the supporting cast around the protagonist, and the clever dialogue. But not for the romance (non existent right now, though if the perceived early ship sails... yada yada).

The supporting cast gets a surprisingly high screen time due to the nature in which the story place out with little violence. We get to see and her them all, and we actually see some A grade character development with the way people change as the protagonist begins to exude her brilliance.

I have to say, the maid of the protag will annoy you to hell! She means no harm, but is a VERY annoying one. That is one reason why even though I approve this and gave it a 5/5, I am pretty confident that I will be coming back to check on this review in the future.

In the end, a kind of a hidden gem that is Mango approved, especially for those who are looking either to start reading about a female MC, or want something that breaks the mould. Because this is different from the Imperial harem kind of non cultivation novels with female MC.

I mean, c170 and I am still not sure if I have even set my eyes on the male protagonist!! The writer is very talented with the plot, and there is a pretty solid foundation for a series which can be about 850 or so chapters. Anything more than that, it will need a genius move to keep me interested.

PS: Translation is also pretty neat.. it is by Mangocat (Not my cat xD) <<less

Early impressions (update at the end) :

What made me post this review is the care of translation, it has footnotes and the style reminds me of Chu Wang Fei and Ze Tian Ji's elegance and wordplay, with the society limitations of Mei Gongqing.

However, the chapters are so short that the entirety of the translated five chapters is still just the first sentence of the summary above. Therefore those who are interested in such romance/drama novels should be warned of abrupt cut-offs in every chapter. As it is, I can't even... more>> tell if this is a time-travel story like so many 'broken engagement' settings, or if the implied su*cide in the summary really was just a failed attempt and that the story would continue from there. [Edit as of ch10: perhaps I was too hasty, but it seems the su*cide attempt had already passed and the story was actually continuing from there.]

Otherwise, I am looking forward to read more, though I cannot help but be annoyed at myself for starting to read it when the chapters are so small compared to my personal reading speed.

Update (c45) :

After 45 chapters, at last a clearer picture has emerged. The mystery tag is not for show, nothing is truly explicitly explained and the reader is left to draw his/her own conclusions based on the clues given. It is the opposite of those cultivation novels where they dump a wall of info at the start. Suffice to say that the build-up is slow but steady, and the writing makes it worthwhile.

Not to give too many spoilers but you have a main heroine who behaves entirely different after a su*cide attempt, causing those who know her to be in awe and surprise. The heroine has limited resources, but has a sharp mind (and tongue) and to see her overturn expectations is worth reading. <<less

I'm bitter to death that this novel ended up dropped. To DEATH okay. But even in its current, partially translated form, I would recommend reading it.

One of the big pitfalls for rebirth, reincarnation and transmigration novels is the detachment it can make the reader feel from events in the novel due to the fact that the main character is often detached, removed and distant from the characters around them just due to the fact of what happened to them. They care about surviving, they care about getting one over their... more>> enemies, etc etc, but all too often you fail to feel much connection to who they're battling against, especially if you're familiar with this genre, because you know they'll succeed and move on to new pastures and rinse and repeat the whole sequence all over again. In reincarnation novels, there's the additional issue of how OP the MC's extra knowledge makes them, and how it makes each conflict they end up in feel like a game with no stakes.

Good webnovels have their ways around this. This novel manages to have its cake and eat it too, because the MC is reincarnated, and has that distance that can so easily make the situation she's in feel shrugworthy, and yet, it demolishes the distance anyway, all while sparing no effort in its use of careful wordplay and scheming and clever use of characters. You feel like the MC is really embroiled in a battle for her new life because she is; at the same time, the story reminds you that she has a larger intention, a massive grudge she wants settled but is currently powerless to do much about. There are other things this novel does excellently, but cutting away that distance and making you worry and wring your hands over every little thing that happens to the heroine and those around her is, IMO, it's largest achievement.

I got lost in the ~200 chapters that were on offer. Even though I know that was just the opening arc, I cared so much about all that happened, and I felt really glad that it ended the way it did, giving me just enough closure before the translator called it quits. If it ever gets picked up again, I'll be there reading each additional chapter, 1000%. <<less

I'll give this story a 4.5 ?. I'll deduct half star because it takes a lot of patience to read and it's not a story I'll read in one sitting.

This novel to me feels like one of those games where you start by killing minor demons and gradually level up until you reach the final boss. And how each level is intricately related to the other levels.

However, if you're here for romance, I am sure you can't stay long because our MC'S is a man of purpose and marriage/romance is... more>> not on agenda. This is not one of those novels where love is a miracle and the whole universe is working towards the goal of bringing the leads together (SRK ref. ?. The MC is highly skilled but not too OP. She is not one of those transmigrates characters who are able to easily solve all obstacles on their own or with the help of her love interests. But here the potential male leads and my opinion on their chances of being ML are:

  1. Her cousin - heavily poisoned to the point of disability, requires MC'S medical skills to save. No expectation odof him being an ML.
  2. Her fiance - gentle and top scoring scholer with a family feud with MC due to engagement. Slightly better than no.1 but still not the ML
  3. Woodcutter - secret lover from past life, who considered her as a wife and abstain from women including the current MC. He has the halo of the friend-zoned ML.
  4. The psycho - her husband arranged by the final boss before rebirth. Obsessed with her pre rebirth self to the point of madness. Successfully made the MC disgusted with himself on their first face to face meet after rebirth. Her current biggest BANE. The only novel character which I am sure is the ML but still make me want to smack his brain open.

Interesting. Some of the most vicious scheming and two-faced interactions I've ever read, often ending in very satisfying ways. Not much romance or sweetness here though - a few ship teases but nothing serious. The main character is intelligent and quite talented in medicine, but she's far from as OP as most reincarnators.

Also, this novel has a bad case of "smart story, dumb readers". It's hilarious how some commenters get furious at characters when the story directly states that they're just putting on a performance. Make sure to read thoroughly... more>> and learn to pick up on contextual clues. If you skim read, you'll have no idea why some characters act and speak the way they do. <<less

Seriously? Why is this so criminally underrated Oo

The story is not fast paced or full of action but those are not the only things that make a novel facinating. Jun Jiuling is really good novel focusing on the relationship between the characters and driven by the mystery of the heroine's past. It is different take to the usual "she stared at her enemy and he turned into ice block" type of revenge novel.

3.5 is too low for this novel! More love <3

I have a soft spot for transmigration novels of women who go back in time or change body in order to get revenge. This novel quickly caught my attention with its strong, calm and quickly witted MC. It is not revealed at the beginning who she was in her last life, we are left guessing while she has a clear far away objective. Her family hates her because the original owner's personality was bad, but you can perceive how they will slowly change there attitude. It is not a plot... more>> full of actions, for the moment she is quietly trying to fit in the family while trying to gather money. My only complaint is that the plot often feels slow as it is full of heavy and over wordly dialogues. Sometimes you can skip an entire chapter and you will still be reading the dialogue started in the previous chapter but, it does not matter, as the characters have just kept repeating the same concept over and over again. <<less

Verdict at C21 - Like bad miss reborn and takes care of family, stories like Chu Wangfei, Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage etc? Hop on board for a ride.

One thing which sets this story apart from others is - It is actually a very slow burn. While other stories have used the "rebirth" angle to explain MC's OP-ness, this story hides it. There are crumbs here and there about who MC was in previous life but it is never explicitly stated. The way story is written makes... more>> me think the suspense will take a long time coming but I could be wrong.

Just like other rebirth (and revenge?) stories, this gets a bit talkative at times but that's how WNs with wuxia bend are written. So if you are some more interested in "cultivate the golden core", skip it. <<less

This is so so good; from the translation quality to that actual novel. If you're looking for something that will be a nice read and not thoroughly rot your brain and grammar; this is a great choice. It's got a pretty fresh take on the classic historical reincarnation trope while still being exactly what we're all used to and love. The MC is smart and human while still, rather unavoidably, OP. She doesn't just go around bit*h slapping everyone and conquering the world in a day, though - she has... more>> set backs and she keeps on learning. Her reincarnation leads her to learn a lot about herself so there's plenty of introspection in this novel. I'm not 100% on who ML is yet at the point I'm currently at but; I got hopes! If it's who it looks to be there will be some interesting scenes ahead. Really hope I actually get to see that far, though. I'm completely devastated that this was seemingly dropped and can only hope it will eventually find another wonderful and talented translator. I don't want to butcher this gem trying to MTL read to the end. *Edit @ c200: I am so mad this was dropped. My soul is eternally screaming over this, Someone please pick this up and save us all from this torture. I need to know what happens; I need to know what happened. I can't handle never knowing who she ends up with. Please. Some kind translator out there. Do a solid. Save us. <<less

Good novel. Quite different and interesting when compared to the copy/paste novels that are being mass produced these days.

I have only one gripe with it though: the author is still not giving a grand slap to that annoying maid Liuer. I have never read or seen a more annoying brainless, heartless character before. If there was every someone, who needed a grand ass kicking, then she is the first place winner who will get a big "bonus" too.

This is sooo good. I was first introduced to this novel because of the drama, and as expected, the novel is way much better in so many aspects. In the drama, you will see that almost all events are arranged by Miss Jun, but in the novel it isn't so; each characters have their own significant roles. Each characters have their own strength and wits, and although Miss Jun, the FL, is depicted as a really powerful woman, she is far from being a Mary Sue. The drama also doesn't... more>> show much of the ML's qualities, his character is more of a sidekick who protects the FL while in the novel, he is a powerful man who believes that Miss Jun is fully capable of taking care of herself, and goes on to do his own parts of the plot.

And the revenge. It's sweet. And most importantly, it's believable. It isn't the regular one woman show acting like a know-it-all and somehow manages to succeed.

Too bad the translation was dropped at ch 200+. I used google trans until the end and the trans was pretty good. Go read this! <<less

I now understand why I didn't see a single review where someome completed it. My curiosity drove me to MTL this and honestly, please dont.!

If I have to describe the characters, they are very layered and complex, however sometimes you just can't understand what Juiling what to achieve. Yes she is reborn amd wants to take revenge, but it gets messed up with too many characters, their stories, their fights inserted imto the already confusing tale.

So if anyone wants to know who is the end game. Read the spoiler below

Zhu zhan x juiling : end game. He is the same man who solves her puzzle game during lantern festival.

Cheng master ends up faking and staging his death so tha6y he is no longer tied with the burdens on family business. He wants his sisters to start afresh with no past things attached to the business so that its clean. There is a hidden story to unlock which is another tiring arc, but thats the end of it.

Her husband from first life, forgot his name: He is forever hated and despised by her and he resigns to that fate to always be a bystander in her life.

Her ex-fiancee from new life, forgot his name too: he proposes 3 times and gets rejected everytime. Honestly he is the only redeaming character with good morals and respect.

Spoiler

Here we have a young miss who literally just had her soul transferred to another body. Same time. Same era. Just under a different family. If you've read Evil Emperor's Wild Consort, you get the full picture. Then again, unlike EEWC, this isn't about martial arts, transcending the heaven thing. It was purely political and intelligence. Not too vengeful and dark, but just right for my tastes. I daresay it's one of the tamer ones of the bunch.

[collapse]

I also appreciate the growth of the side characters so far.

Spoiler

Another interesting slightly rare trope added to the mixture (rarely seen, if not haven't at all as far as I'm concerned, on CN novels, but definitely on JP ones) : about the miss being once spoilt rotten to the core. And nope, this isn't the "I've reincarnated into a villainess of a <insert story/game/etc> so I must change my fate!" Nope. 'cause unlike in other stories where the villain HASN'T even started with her villainy (and we just know she's a villain because of a book or a game), this one already had our MC transmigrated at the height of things wherein people in past-owner-body's family, who are downright good people, hated her because of her haughtiness (and hence, you can't fault them).

And a lot of the earlier chunk details the endeavours of MC slowly changing those bad views on her whilst patching up her relations. To this, to my knowledge, I'd say Light Beyond is the only and more appropriate/similar novel to reference.

[collapse]

To this, while some might consider it boring or draggy, I beg to differ. Sure thing a lot of them readers would say "this had dragged on and the story could've actually been resolved in 10 chapters." Then again, what story, if the author really so wished it, couldn't be solved within just 10 chapters? Moreover, I liked the development.

I savour the world building, and the shift of character dynamics and interaction. I relish at knowing the characters more and this story delivered them really well so far. + points because the family is really good, ++ more points because of the many interestingly cliché (but still) original characters.

Ah... also, while it does not focus on romance, MYGOD this novel contains some really well-deserving ML entourage. Still don't know who's the very main guy though. Well, there are hints... but I don't wanna jump too soon.

Then again, I advice readers to not focus on the romance, as things so far are geared more on solving current problems, improving MC's relationship with family and other character / world building developments. Despite that, there are lots of bittersweet / very potential "romantic" scenes tho. I really pity the Ning dude. <///3

Having this at an average of 4.0 doesn't give this novel justice. <<less

Frankly, this deserves a higher rating.

I'm going to wait awhile before I rate, but with the translated chapters so far - this has become my second best reincarnation novel (the first being "The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage"). I enjoy the slow pace, the character development not only of the MC but also those of her family.

Also, in the story - the MC's past "miss" had a bad temperament and character. We can see this with how her maid would act. But the current Jun Zhenzhen's past... more>> is obscure.

Spoiler

We do know in the later chapters that she was the dead Princess Juiling, was a divine doctor's student, and betrayed by someone yet unidentified. It's a riveting story as the truth is slowly unraveled.

Even as we are trying to figure out her past, there is still the present.

Spoiler

Who are conspiring to kill the male heirs of the Fang family and what's with the bloody current political intrigues?

So far, I still don't know who's the ML (: <<less

So far, an excellent novel with excellent translation. However it looks like the translator hasn't translated anything new for this novel for about half a year (222 chapters have been released on Qidian for awhile).

Anyway, it's not a fast novel, but the pacing is actually very good. It's thorough and detailed and doesn't drag at all. There are so many mysteries with all the characters, including the MC, whose past only very slowly gets revealed over time. This isn't a modern person transmigrate to... more>> the past. This is a historical person who died mysteriously reborn in a different body. So the MC is actually very familiar with all the customs and some (famous?) characters because they're people she knew from her past life.

Also I love that romance isn't the primary focus; so far there's no idea who the ML will end up being, but the MC has met a couple potential MLs. MC is super awesome. Not too OP, but very thoughtful and good at playing her strengths.

I hope this gets picked up again. (Also the translator super confused me with the chapters. Chp 222 is actually Chp 60 in the raws??) <<less

Great Story.

The way it written remind me of Agatha Christie Hercule Poirot writing style novel but in wuxia way. Detective story. Intrique.

I hope someone will continue translating it. Please.

Such a great story hard to pass bye.

My initial reaction when I started reading the first chapter was... the character was so calm and collected I got bored. Maybe I read too much transmigration stories about cliche young misses or maybe I was truly bored because nothing really happened. Thankfully, I did not give up. This story is so wonderful despite the slowness of its pace.

Like the other reviewer said, you could feel the vibes of Mei Gongqing. It's like you grabbed the MC of Chu Wang Fei and drop her inside the novel Mei Gongqing. The... more>> author was probably striving for a realistic approach that was why all the schemes were so hard to execute.

What I like in this novel is its meticulousness and how the author focused in each character. They felt real and every reaction, interaction and events did not feel like it was rushed. If you like Mei Gonqing but wants a more intelligent MC, you would like this.

Edit: OMG IT'S GETTING TL-ED AGAIN! I read this four years ago and I'm so happy I can read it like the first time. LMAO I hate webnovel so much. <<less

This is the work that really got me addicted to reincarnation novels. I would very much recommend it to everyone. The story seemed very good and the translation was THE BEST I have ever had the pleasure of reading. The only downside to this extremely addictive novel is that the translator stopped her work for whatever reason. I hope the individual is alive and well, we never know what is going on in people's lives, but none the less it's a real shame that this hasn't been translated fully.

You definitely don't want to miss this. I loved it so much that I could not wait but brave myself for the MTL and it was totally worth it. My only wish is to have more romance between the MC and ML after they realized their affections for each other.
