Another great novel!

If you're looking for something super serious, might not be a good idea to read this. If you get easily frustrated at plot armor, maybe don't read this. There isn't anything super obvious, but the MC does get what he needs coincidentally right before he needs it.

That said, this novel is brilliant, if it fits your type of humor. Bit crude at times, but if you like this type of stuff... it's golden.

The MC is smart? Like, transmigrator MCs should be like this more. Most of the time,... more>> they seem to forget they've transmigrated lmao. MC actually uses random bits of otherworldly knowledge in really clever ways. I've been surprised many times by this novel, which is great. Predictable novels get a bit boring. Also, the MC is super clever. He's a riot, but he knows when to back down too.

The characters and character development is awesome???? The worldbuilding's good too, but the characters are awesome. There are so many beautiful women, but you can actually remember them? They have personalities? Much wow.

The men aren't bad either, of course. The MC's personality is hilarious, but he also has a cool side.

Also, I'm really interested in knowing about the original person's past... seems interesting.

Overall, a really good novel if you like this type of humor. Might be hard to get through (even though the plot is good) since a lot of what makes this novel GREAT is the humor.

EDIT: Reminder that it's a harem novel. A well-written one in which the characters have personalities, but still a harem novel. Stuff like "Even though she was strong-willed, she was still a woman" is included. The author has strong female characters (they tend to have higher power levels and strong personalities), but these subtle lines... ah well. <<less

satirical novel. The special ability, so to speak, is to troll others and get points that can be used by the MC to obtain rewards.

The quality of translation is also pretty good so far, no complains there.

It feels like a conservative attempt to fool readers. That's it.

It starts with 100 chapters or so of being very interesting, with the keyboard system actually existing. 300 chapters later, 'what keyboard?'. So, it's also a scam.

I was well prepared for the fact that transmigation was most likely bait, so no surprise. Unfortunately, what I didn't want to see was there. The cultuvation world is all also n useless smokescreen which then just reveals that this is all a crappy, TV drama scrpit-level shitty imperial series.

Cultivation is LAAAAAGGING behind any... more>> other novel I've bothered to read more than 100 chapters for, and is a first. Others weren't imaginative or trying hard, but damn. It feels like a middle-aged person just wanted to grab from here and there, with no creativity for characters from himself, but from other places.

At first, it's obvious depending on one's culture, but turns out that many of the characters that aren't the harem or the MC himself are taken from other works. Disapponted, though I expected it. <<less

I really enjoyed the first 100-150 chapters or so. The comedy was good, the trolling was good, and the characters were mostly decent. Some found the violence to be too much but it personally seemed pretty standard for xianxia/xuanhuan.

Couple major flaws though. The major one is the pacing. It starts to get really bad. There'll be excessive detail explaining something three different ways. Dialogue just for the sake of word count and for the MC to gain points. A chapter might have a paragraph or two of plot development and... more>> the rest is just Zu An yapping and hitting on whichever female side character is present.

The second, though minor, for me was the Chu family. I don't know why Zu An stuck around the family when he was berated constantly by basically everyone. Maybe he let his 'lil Zu An' do all the thinking.

And lastly the harem. I don't know how it compares to others but it started to get really tired. Maybe this is hypocritical given what I said earlier about violence but every single chapter just has to mention some guy or the MC ogling some woman. I don't care if there's a harem, or it's mixed in here and there but there's just way too much. It's like I was reading the same h**ny chapter over and over but with the characters in a different setting.

Reminds me of The Strongest System. Starts off really strong and deteriorates quickly when you can tell the author ran out of good ideas. Try it out, but don't expect it to hold on. <<less

Banged through this in 2weeks, so addiction factor is there.

Simply put there’s a lot of good payouts and the plots are more complex than other novels in these genres.

Cons are that there’s like 5dialogue in a chapter and the rest is what the characters are thinking after each word. This becomes boring at some point, so I personally started just reading the dialogue boxes only or skipping that chapter all together.

As terms of cultivation complexity this is more like a soap comedy than cultivation. Some stuff is almost s*upidly uncomplex.... more>> For example pill refining here is... we know only one, one other pill refiner in the whole world apart from MC. Makes zero sense, but after reading a lot of these I almost prefer this compared to mandatory pill refining tournament every other chapter.

The novel beats 80% of books in the genre at least. The slow pace in some chapters will be your biggest issue with some of the chapters being mothing else but people saying goodbyes as MC leaves for the next area <<less

The novel starts with a bang but then wents down hill once it crosses 150+ chapters. I gave it another 100 chapter thinking ut will get good again but disappointed. Initially MC gave an impression of truly smart and intelligent but then suddenly turned to a ret*rded kid.

Fights are boring. And the gag is really good at the beginning but then loses its charm and is no longer fun.

The storyline too becomes repetitive and apat from a few characters the rest are bland. The Harem too is dissapointing as in... more>> case of most xianxia novels.

This starts as a pretty good idea, then basically becomes a harem collecting journey. I'm f*cking tired of the MC flaunting his "flirting and shameless" attitude with every women and every single one of them essentially either entertains him or gradually opens to him, while every man he knows is either jealous of him, f*cking lets him use his wife, or is incapable of getting "it" up.

Oh yeah MC also has a massive "dong'er" down there after removing the seal, he f*cks girls left and right, cuckolds people in more than one occasion, is into roleplay, basically wanted to f*ck his mother-in-law, has f*cked women under the effect of "stimulating" effects of certain pills which authors use as an excuse to "progress and advance" the relationship between a female and male character.

I thought it was making fun of troupes and cliches, but nope, that was just the first 100 or so chapters and it basically becomes the same hot garbage as the majority of cultivation novels.

The MC is a super brave guy who uses that and his sweettalk to make women fall in love with, AGAIN, AGAIN, AND AGAIN WITH THE SAME f*ckING METHODS AND WORDS.

He's basically f*cked someone's wife more than his own wife, his own wife who had no clue of what he was doing.

Extremely slow-paced, we've had more words describing how much f*cking he's been doing and about his "seal and dick" down there than his cultivation, extremely ridiculous at how slow-paced this is, the comedy gradually became worse and worse.

every women introduced is bound to be the mc's to f*ck or will end up with a positive opinion on him.

I don't suggest you read this unless you're looking for s*x content, not directly but it is mentioned many times. Basically a pretty sh*t novel but whatever, won't judge other people's taste.

Liked the start of the novel in which the MC makes his harem slowly and also the same with his strength. but after he got exposed for having the cultivation that the emperor wants, it just went down hill from there... MC makes s*upid decisions even though he was portrayed as smart before. new harem members are shallow and makes no addition to the plot in any way. the comedy became boring as it didn't change much.

I will read further but as of chap 500~ it's not looking too hot.

I wanted to like this, but the biggest problem of this novel is how forced the plots are, and the illogicalness of the character decisions in this book. Though it is also a harem story, so it isn't a big surprise considering most harem stories are generally written bad. I wanted to keep reading to find out MCs true back story and the chu clan, but I gave up. I got too fed up with every character in this novel

Seems like your typical cultivation novel, except that MC is the biggest shit-stirrer. Strong point is comedy and whilst the MC is shameless and sharp-tongued, he is cunning and exceeds at trolling others.

Be warned though, whilst the early sections story was essentially a satirical cultivation story, it has slowly dropped in quality and has become a parody of itself. MC becomes a caricature of himself, becoming more and more impulsive, lustful and idiotic. Everything that happens you can find in other standard cultivation novels. Jade beauties, potential betrayal at every... more>> corner, nearly every male character hates him and every female character loves him... etc. Not to mention the obvious plot armor as he takes on more challenging opponents but still stays around the same power level. <<less

The novel comes up with an internet keyboard warrior transmigating into a world where ki exists. Problems are he wakes up as an impotent, can't cultivate (classic), basically a wastrel, only he's married to the hottest daughter of a duke in town.

The first few chapters are gold. They are so funny and the characters inside the novel had quite some amusing interaction that makes me laughed so hard.

Sadly, like a lot of chinese novels, the story gets dragged so long and the pacing of this novel is so slow.

Novel was way better at beginning and now it feels like author started to burn out. So far I'm gonna continue reading this padded peace of time waster but if quality continues to drop then who knows.

Harem - there are too many girls (I'm loosing track who is who) and because author don't want them to be 1 dimension template A character they come and go absurdly with forced dramas along (still drags that mother in law thing instead of burying it). Pacing- I have no idea why author doesn't have word "rest" in his dictionary. There is always danger and drama, MC needs to be bigger, faster and stronger. No rest for the wicked seems to be author motto but I guess they need people hooked so they pay for more chapters. I believe book would be better with few "vacations" arcs where author can calmly try to unravel mess that book became.

Story- Full of holes, holy hell author forgets or retcons something that happened less than 50 chapters ago. And it fully started to go route of generic cultivation novel recently with cheap plot twists. But maybe if MC finally

Congratulations to the author, this is my first review for all the novels I have read.

The beginning of the novel is interesting, the main character is very funny and cunning. But unfortunately after chapter 300, the jokes in this novel are getting repetitive. The main character is just a s*x machine that collects women.

If the beginning of the novel is bad, I don't care, but this novel has good potential and the author can't find new ideas other than repeating the same jokes and the same storyline but with different... more>> women and different enemies.

Tldr - wasted potential good concept, funny MC, ruin by repetitive plot. <<less

Keyboard Immortal starts off strong and interesting with its main character, Zu An, who is a shameless playboy. The best part is how he shamelessly teases and messes with others. However, things take a disappointing turn later on.

The Good: Unlike other Chinese transmigration novels, the fact that the main character comes from Earth actually matters here. Zu An uses his Earthly knowledge in the immortal world, adding humor and self-awareness to the story.

The female leads in the story have unique personalities and goals, which is great.

The Bad: The story becomes... more>> repetitive, especially when it comes to certain themes like aphrodisiacs and the constant focus on v*rginity. It's as if the author has a strange obsession with that concept. Even married women are portrayed as "virg*ns" multiple times throughout the story.

To make matters worse, after these female characters fall in love with the main character, their personalities are suddenly changed. From being cold and cruel, they become kind and caring. The plot is even twisted to say that they were never cruel in the first place. It's like a major rewrite of their characters just because they fell for the main character.

And let's not forget the annoying trope where the main character only kills female characters who are described as "old and ugly." If a female antagonist is beautiful (which 99% are), the story goes out of its way to spare her or make her retreat for some reason, only for her to later fall in love with the main character. This has happened way too many times, making it predictable and taking away any tension when a new female antagonist shows up. <<less

This is almost likeable and if you're just looking to binge something dumb you could do worse. The translation I've been reading was quite good!

However, the author has written the MC to be incredibly narcissistic and very repetitive. It's a shonen harem manga on steroids where the trope repeats every chapter rather than every story arc. Be prepared for a lot of face young master face slapping.

This is just your typical chinese plagiarized template story writing.

Many ideas and works of others were used to build it.

The story changed many things but the main outline of the story is pretty much in alignment to the original, somewhat.

Story is very vulgar in many ways but it's chinese humors and yet it's a bit comical compared to other chinese knock off writings.

Yes, it's a very typical chinese story. Bring in characters and stuff to exaggerate and then left forgotten to move on to continue rinse and repeat.

So far, there's like no main plot as it's typical of chinese to milk their readers to bring them income for nonsense. <<less

So much politial intrigue ugh. We already got a s*upid amount of harem, emporor cluck never rewarding MC like ever solving hard tasks others can never do, even punishing him while expecting loyalty. Hah! It’s already slow as it is as the author’s running outta gas after the beginning but it’s the “mystery political intrigue” again right after the dungeon.

  • Be warned after around 400 ch I beleive? Author is running on an empty tank for the most part as it slows down due to harems, politics, lots of face slapping, ntr thoughts, and MC ret*rding thoughts. In other words xianxia/wuxia true main troupes.

Start of story is really nice. Has good balance of humour power aps and most important - enemies. I read it smoothly and fun.

But until the moment when he agree go to capital that is s*upidest desision. To save MC life and substantiate this desision author made crazy amount of plot armor.

As result if in first half of story MC wins against opponents using his mind with special abilities of keyboard, in second half he use only "luck" and plot armors.

Also all interactions with Emperor is just bullsh*t with apotheosis... more>> of it in dungeon when he should several times kill MC just because of his personality. But this even not main problem:

How he can have two bodies with full power of his cultivation??? How may be such good thing in the word? If he placed part of the soul in body of his son, he should also divide his cultivation, or transfer all of it. Similar to what did eunuch with MC. But he we have two fully separate Emperors with same level of cultivation, and even his mind not connected.
