The story is too slow in my opinion. The side characters don't have too much depth and the story progression is not that captivating so I'll focus on our main guy.

Here we have Cruz who aspires to be a knight even though he's really not fit for it. Everyone talks about the potential but it remains to be seen how far he can go. He's in the bottom ranking of his academy in everything, and he's been there for a while. Everyone just outshines him in every manner. His legendary... more>> master seem to have taught him an ancient style based on defense so you would expect him to be good at it... and well, he might be. Throughout the limited battles, it's been stated that he has good defense... but apparently not that good enough because he still gets tr*shed by everyone. The best part? He doesn't know how to attack because he's been trained to tank. Props to him for beating a soldier type demon and holding off another two but that's about it. There hasn't been a tournament yet and the main focus has been his academy life. I'm hoping to see more improvement on his part but that might take another 50 chapters, so I'll give this an average for now. <<less
