Though the nuance was ambiguous, even that was welcome to Doyun, who widened his eyes at those words. Looking up at him with hopeful thoughts, Yujae offered no particular answer, only tapping his phone a couple of times.
Soon, the phone placed on the nightstand vibrated, but Doyun didn’t take his eyes off him. As if responding to the expectant look in his eyes, Yujae moved toward the nightstand.
“So, Mr. Seo Doyun.”
He returned to the table with the phone and spoke in a low voice.
“There’s something I’d like you to review.”
He handed over the phone, tapping the screen as if to say “check it out.” While momentarily puzzled by the sudden request for review, Doyun hesitantly took the phone and checked the screen.
During that time, a message had arrived under Yujae’s name. When he clicked on the attached file, a window opened showing something Yujae had sent without any explanation.
Doyun felt dizzy looking at the white pages densely filled with text. But that was brief—after reading the sentence written on the very first page, his expression gradually hardened.
[Contract Regarding Transactional Support Arrangement]It wasn’t a name anyone would consider an ordinary contract. The contract, which referred to Yujae and himself as party A and party B, was at least five pages long, and with each page he turned, he doubted his eyes more.
The detailed clauses made his head spin, but in the end, they conveyed just one meaning.
