I finally made it back, though my level is strange.
But… isn’t this actually a good thing?

It's pretty typical for it's tropes. Regressor dungeon novel with higher administrator-like antagonists. Human race being put through trails for the apparent amusement of other beings.

I get slightly annoyed by MC getting a whole bunch of never before seen impossible to achieve items and then those items immediately become useful in a rare opportunity and the MC is all "just as I prepared". Prepared what? Even with your regressor knowledge, you had no clue you would be able to get those sorts of rewards, and yet you prepared for this?... more>> At least acknowledge the extreme luck.

Also for someone cursed with so many frail conditions, the condition of his body gives very few actual limitations. Can catch illnesses easily and he does catch a fever, but it has zero impact on anything. Stamina issues, yet he conquers 13 dungeons without pause. Really? Where's the stamina issue? I do like how the elixirs can't help him with permanent growth and how his attempt to remove the statuses almost kills him (of course both of those negatives turn into positives, but that's just part of the OP trope), but for the most part, the story could be told exactly the same without any negative status other than the level. That's how little the negative statuses matter.

Still, it's written decently and I'm enjoying it, so if you like this sort of trope (which I do), it's worth reading. <<less

I rarely write reviews for novels. I only refound this novel due to it being in the recommended section for another novel that I put on hold, Regression is Too Much. Whoever put it there should be disqualified and barred from the internet. Not trying to be a debbie downer, but seeing all of the positive reviews only serves as confirmation that people have abysmally low standards. On top of that, the translation is MTL.

9 months ago, I dropped this novel as it was just mass-produced garbage. The author just... more>> wanted to make a quick buck following the completion of their last work, and it shows.

The MC doesn't just have plot armor: they have plot immunity. The author just writes whatever they want as long as it helps the MC and pads each chapter like it's a nine-to-five job. From repeating information to unnecessary information, it's a marvel how anyone can tredge through this filth. It's not even worth the effort to write anymore than this or skim the text to show examples: any chapter is an example. <<less

A classic regressor novel so far. The MC is overpowered, but the author balances it out somewhat with a number of negative statuses. He's physically weak and the amount of magic he can use is limited so it's more about solving problems with his head and turning disadvantages into advantages.

I'm looking forward to reading more.

This is a good story. As another review stated, it is a classic regressor novel. However, that doesn't mean it's bad. I finished chapter 25 and kept trying to click on the next chapter, only to realize it wasn't out yet!

If you enjoy the regressor + coming apocalypse trope I really recommend reading it. It is still early on in the story but I don't feel like this novel will be a waste of time. I have enjoyed it at least.

OK.... this is not for me. I read the first 9 chapters....

For other people I'll include a spoiler in case you also dislike these features.

Spoiler

This is one of those with 'gods' chatting, wanting 'apostles'.

Also, bunch of forced instances created by 'creators'.

[collapse]

Maybe some people like that sort of thing.

Not going to rate it since it's not for me, I only read 9 chapters but there wasn't a lot of character development done... more non-stop action than any kind of world/character building. That doesn't mean that it won't happen later though, so take it with a grain of salt. <<less

It’s exactly what you would expect from a regressor tower/dungeon novel. So whether or not you’ll find this like-able is entirely dependent on how much you like this type of novel. If you are a fan of this kind of novel I recommend giving it a shot.

It’s still a little early to say anything for certain, but personally I’m enjoying the author’s take on the dungeon, otherworld sponsorship, and growth systems so far despite things unfolding rather predictably. I also find the over all story enjoyable, with both the writing... more>> and translation easy to read. <<less
